My family and our neighbors (9 total from ages 44 to 4) had a great week at Blue Dolphin. Property is beautiful with own private beach and pool. The layout is easy and accommodating. We loved having three floors of outdoor space! Also, the location was great - 15 mins or less to anywhere you want to be on Islamorada. Jim, the owner, is especially helpful and responsive. He takes great care and pride in his properties.

The house is large enough to accommodate many families with ample common space; you'll never feel crowded. Three bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms on the main floor are separated by large living spaces and a large kitchen. The private gated property is quiet from road noise, with a driveway that can fit many vehicles. The backyard is spacious with the pool and sandy yard area providing various options for recreation and relaxing. Owner is very responsive and engaged. Would recommend and would stay again. This is an extremely well built facility, comfortable and clean. The furniture is comfortable and functional from the pool to the 5 bedrooms. Every appliance worked well and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and utensils.

The property had everything you needed from space, pool, ping pong. Just a few miles away from Jet Ski, boat rentals, and anything you needed.

Blue Dolphin was amazing! The house was great to fit the 7 adults and 2 children 5 and 7. We rented a boat for a week just down the street and after boating during the day we went back to the house and enjoyed it. Cooking and playing games as well as hanging out in the pool. The pier was nice to walk on and look down for the fish. The only unfortunate part is you couldn't really swim in the water there as it was only inches to 3 ft. deep, depending on the tides and a lot of rocks and grass. We saw a couple of nurse sharks, black tip shark, sting ray and blue crab along with some little fish. We did rent Kayaks and paddle boards so we were able to put them in the water from the end of the dock. We really enjoyed our time there and can't wait to go back. Jim was great at following up with us after we arrived and after we left!

We needed a house big enough for all 11 members of our family for a celebration week. We chose Islamorada because my husband has fished there before. I looked at a few rental houses, but we all agreed that the house’s ocean view location was perfect as well as large enough. It’s quite private , though there is an apartment type building on one side, but screened by trees. Our young grandchildren enjoyed the pool every day. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking, and plenty of room to spread out, or be together. It was a wonderful week that we’ll always remember!

Our recent stay at Blue Dolphin was by far the best vacation experience we have had. Blue Dolphin accommodated our family of 11 (five children age 2-7 years) and six adults perfectly. It was a quiet retreat after enjoying the many attractions in the area each day. Jim is the best! He answered all our questions, was kind and courteous throughout the entire rental process. Our family had an excellent experience. The home and views are beautiful. The pool is wonderful and the location is close to many restaurants and fun things to do. We will definitely go again!

Living in Florida I’ve been to the Keys multiple times and I always end up in Islamorada. Great fishing, amazing restaurants and beautiful sunshine. This was our third year taking our entire family down with us. This year we needed a bigger house on the ocean and we selected the Blue Dolphin and we couldn’t have been any happier with our selection. The views of the ocean from almost every room are breathtaking. Our family always does a day of games that we call the Family Olympics which is nothing short of laughter and spirited competition. Blue Dolphin was perfect for this. We had volleyball, corn hole, can jam on the beach and finished with basketball in the pool . Then we had ping pong to finish up. The pool is great for relaxing as well as the beach. The great news is Jim is in the process of building a dock which will open the door to many more activities like, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding without leaving the property. As we left to drive home today Jim followed up and thanked me for staying at his property. As we finished our conversation we went ahead and booked another week for next June. I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Blue Dolphin. The house was everything we expected. There was plenty of room for our family of 11. Kitchen was well equipped. We especially enjoyed the pool. So nice to be able to sit and enjoy the ocean view. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We had an amazing time at this property. The location is perfect and everything about the house was exactly as described. We enjoyed having the access to Founder’s park and all the other recommendations the owner supplied. Highly recommend this property!

We were very pleased with everything about this property. We were, unfortunately, there when the sea grass and smell associated with it, was bad. We had experienced this before in Key West, and it didn't stop us from enjoying the property. We had a daily visit from an iguana that we enjoyed watching. Everything about this property is great!! Plenty of space for our two families with a total of 8. Kitchen had everything we needed. I really can't say there was anything that we ever said we wished we had. We've stayed in many places in the Keys, but this was definitely one of our favorites. Jim was very attentive and even checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful trip staying in the blue dolphin. The home was very spacious and accommodating for our large family. Everyone felt they had plenty of space and all the beds were comfortable. The pool was beautiful and kept at the perfect temperature. The views of the ocean were breathtaking. We even saw dolphins playing very close to the shore one morning. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Our family of nine spent the last week at this beautiful home! There was plenty of room, and we never felt crowded. The two bedrooms on the main level each have their own private bath, and the master bedroom upstairs has a very large bathroom as well. The other two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom which worked out perfectly for our family. Some of the beds are firm while others are softer making it a nice variety for different sleeping preferences. The pool was so enjoyable and it was cleaned twice during the week (once on Saturday before our arrival and again on Wednesday). The property is very clean and well maintained. Some trash does wash up to the shoreline; however, there is nothing that can be done to prevent this, and the owners have people come clean up the trash each week as well. There are plenty of towels as well as beach towels for everyone and there were several "essentials" already available in the home (e.g., dish soap, laundry soap, bathroom soaps, trash bags, etc.). I would definitely recommend going to the house before you go to the grocery store, as there are many items available you will not need to buy. The owner, Jim, was really great to work with, as he called and texted us before, during, and after our trip to make sure we had everything we needed at that the accommodations were meeting our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend this rental for large families or groups. We love Islamorada because it's conveniently located to several of our favorite restaurants (e.g., Wahoo's, Maker 88, Lazy Days, and Islamorada Fish Company). This was not our first trip to the Keys, and it won't be our last. We hope to stay here again! Thank you to the owner, Jim, for allowing us to rent this fine place!

Blue dolphin is an incredible place to stay in the Florida Keys. The house is well equipped and has everything you need to have a relaxing trip. Jim is extremely hospitable and quick to respond. The only suggestion for additions to the house would be baby gates for the stairs.

The house was spectacular, the view was spectacular, spent countless hours in the salt water pool. Close to many amazing restaurant’s. Our only issue was, we wish we stayed 2 weeks instead of 1. So much that we wanted to do but didn’t have time. Our family will certainly rent blue dolphin in the future.

The property was a gorgeous small estate on the Atlantic side of Plantation Key, just north of Islamorada. Located less than two hours from the Miami Airport, its was a relatively short drive and easy to find. On our arrival we were impressed by the Palm-tree lined driveway to the protected portico at the frond the the three story, concrete construction house obviously built to defy hurricanes? The house consists of an entry first floor with a television viewing room, garage and a winding stairway to the second floor. The second floor had a both, two bedrooms and a spacious tiled living room, dining room, kitchen with large windows looking out over the pool and the sand-covered approach to the water. Outside was a spacious outdoor area with a dining table and chairs, a small breakfast table and a most impressive grill. The third floor consisted of two additional bedrooms with a full bath and a huge master suite including a full walk-in closet and a large bath with full facilities including a large shower and a jacuzzi soaking tube under a glass brick corner. in addition to a relaxing area with a couch in the middle all reached by a winding staircase from the second floor. There was an additional balcony area of the same size as the second floor accessible directly from two of the bedrooms. One of the bedrooms and the Master suite had magnificent views of the ocean and the daily sunrises. The outdoor pool was most enjoyable and we spent many happy hours swimming and enjoying the sun next to the pool. We were delighted by the wildlife that came to drink from the pool including iguanas and a variety of birds. The kitchen was fully equipped with excellent appliances, dishware and cookware that we made great use of for family dinners both inside and outside. The house itself was in excellent shape and good repair throughout. We had no reason to call on the maintenance staff during out stay as everything was in working order. Wifi was also accessible and fast throughout the house. We enjoyed the place so much that we ended up spending most of our time there with the exception of a couple of trips to local restaurants to view the sunsets. If you are a first time visitor to the property you should be aware that the ocean past the sandy area is not accessible as it is basically rocks and seaweed and there is a condo building beyond the trees at the North side of the property. However the city has an excellent beach nearby that we enjoyed.

The house is beautiful, large, clean and well maintained. The listing description is very accurate. It has an outstanding piece of land right on the Atlantic. The pool and sandy area are wonderful for family activities. The location is convenient. Excellent charter fishing nearby. Marker 88, Robbie's and Lorelei were great casual restaurants and Pierre's was awesome for our special occasion. Nice Publix close. Owner really great, provides excellent service and devoted to making sure his guests have a great vacation. We will recommend this property to our family and friends.

Beautiful home in Islamerado close to some great restaurants and attractions. Very responsive owner for any and all questions. Only advice would be to bring bug spray!

Our family of ten, six adults, two teenagers, and two children, were lucky enough to spend a glorious week at the Blue Dolphin in Islamorada, Florida. From the start of the booking until after our departure, Jim, the owner, was accessible, a good communicator, helpful, and easy to work with. The property is amazing. It has a very functional layout, well stocked kitchen with new appliances. Our famiy chefs loved the awesome new Weber grill. We had plenty of fish to grill after a deep sea excursion with Kay K IV fishing charter, with Captain Don & First Mate Dave. Many of us were blessed each morning with amazing sunrises on the deck while enjoying our coffee. There are two levels of decks that cover three sides of the home. The pool was enjoyed each day by all, older and younger. It was warm, clean and well maintained. The expanse of sand gave much fun for soccer, football, and simply sitting in the chairs looking out to sea. We appreciated the many towels provided, for both beach and bathrooms. The property is gated and felt very secure. A walking path on the road of the properties location made for nice morning walks. The Twisted Shrimp Restaurant is across the street and a few addresses down. We also enjoyed a sunset happy hour at LoreLei's, and a New Year's dinner at The Shrimp Shack. There is a new Publix's grocery store in Islamorada. Our grandchildren loved the dolphin and sea lion shows at Theatre of the Seas. We are already looking forward to a return visit to the Blue Dolphin!

I can tell you how wonderful this property is, but you can look at the website for that. What impressed us the most was the property owner’s sincerity to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and his concern for us when the weather turned sour. The property is in a quite location that gives you easy access to what the Florida Keys offer. Definitely a home worth returning to.

We rented this home over thanksgiving break for our family of 8. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms everyone was comfortable with plenty of privacy. The kitchen was large and great to accommodate large families. The home was immaculate! Jim the owner was fantastic! He would send a text just to welcome you and make sure everything was ok. The home has a pool and beach which is ocean front. We loved just enjoying the pool and warm sun and of course the beautiful location. The home is in Islamorada and near our favorite restaurants in the Keys! We have already booked next year and can’t wait to return!

We are three families that vacation together,everyone was just amazed at the expansive ocean views and the size of the property and home. The pictures do not do justice to it, the accommodations and a the surrounding activities were the best we have ever traveled to. The home was roomy, comfortable and inviting with everything we needed. We completely loved this home and are planning a return trip as soon as possible.

Just got back yesterday from Blue Dolphin and our whole family is not sure we will be able to wait until next year to come back. From the very beginning with the ease of the booking experience to our very last morning it was the perfect vacation for our family of six adults and three little boys. The view is phenomenal and on the first day we were gifted with a visit from two dolphins as they headed south by the property. Maybe that was an omen of things to come. Imagine viewing the Hunters Moon at night over the water from practically every window in this home. Just beautiful. While we did eat lunch or dinner out several times we had no problem preparing large dinners in this well stocked kitchen. It had every appliance, dish, pan you could ever need. The huge grill was conveniently located on the deck right outside the dining room which made grilling out and eating in very easy, no up or down stairs. And if you wanted dinner on the deck there was plenty of room to gather around the table outside. Five bedrooms afforded us the opportunity to set up the little ones to make sure everyone got a good night’s sleep. Each floor had a sitting area for gathering, reading or some peace and quiet. From the house down to the water is soft white sand. Sand toys and the salt water pool kept us busy during the day. You can also play ping pong at the outdoor table. The owners supplied lots of towels for the pool and there were eight relaxing recliners along with two Adirondack chairs. They thought of everything. Security is not an issue as property is gated. One other thing that we were so pleased with is that we were able to bring our dog along. She is writing her own review but I can promise it is also glowing! If you haven’t been to Islamorada you are In for a treat. Just fabulous waterfront restaurants with wonderful views and great food. Highly recommend the Lazy Day’s, Robbie’s (where the kids can feed the Tarpon right off the dock), Lorelei and Marker 88. We did a more formal dinner inside at Pierre’s but going to the Outdoor Beach Cafe is something you should not miss for sunset. If you are lucky enough to be there for a full moon be sure to check and see if they are doing their Full Moon Party. Fireworks, lit up stilted, dancing robots and great drinks will entertain you ‘til late at night. Cannot wait to return. Loved the house and loved Islamorada!

We enjoyed our week at the Blue Dolphin! It was so Peaceful and relaxing! The house was beautiful and spacious! The first day there we seen the most gorgeous rainbow in the back yard! I highly recommend this house and will rent again in the near future!

Our family loved our week at the Blue Dolphin! This well-maintained, clean house has a great floor plan that easily accommodated our family of 10. The ocean views from this house are really spectacular! Our family enjoyed relaxing in the pretty saltwater pool and playing ping-pong on the covered patio. We also appreciated the abundance of towels! The ideal location of this house makes it convenient to marinas, stores (Publix), and great restaurants. There is so much to do here - a great vacation spot for all ages! Jim, the property owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating, and the property manager was also easily accessible to answer any questions. The only problem was our week flew by too fast!!
