This is a lovely house with lots of amenties. It is also across the street from the main gate of George Fox University, which made it great for attending an on-campus conference!

The place had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was in a great location. I would stay there again without question!

This home was great. Comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could ever need for cooking. The neighborhood was nice and walkable. The owner lived across the street and was available for any questions or issues and gave great suggestions for dining, groceries and wine tasting. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. I would stay here again and highly recommend this property.

As "young"seniors (!), we're picky about beds, and all 4 of us agreed the beds were great! We also were stuneed at the beauty of George Fox University (across the street) with its magnificent trees, stunning truss bridge over a gorge, and beautiful landscaping throughout. A perfect place for morning and evening walks. Hot tub easy to use, large (easily fit the 4 of us) and all very clean!

Leigh was wonderful! Even with us getting in at 10:00 PM, she was there to great us, and make us feel welcome. Beautiful home, cozy and comfortable, and just steps away from the college! This proximity really enhanced our experience, of George Fox is the one, we will definitely be staying again!

The house is so charming and warm.
It's 116 years old but has all the modern conveniences. Leigh is an amazing host.
Highly recommend staying here while doing a bit of wine tasting!

This was a wonderful place to stay!! The owner was supper friendly and helpful. The house is just beautiful and tucked away into a nice neighborhood. I highly recommend and will be back again.

I have to try not to gush too much about Leigh's house, for fear it will be booked next time I want to visit. We were more than pleased with this spacious, clean, and very cozy house within walking distance of all that Newberg has to offer. We found the kitchen amply stocked and great for cooking, the bedrooms were big and had comfortable beds, and our favorite feature was the outdoor lounge area, complete with seating and a hot tub which offers a sweet view of the back porch and side yard. We ended spending most of our time there, given the glorious weather during our summer visit.
You can tell that Leigh and her family put much work into restoring this home. We look forward to returning in the future.

This space surpassed our expectations. Leigh was so communicative and welcoming. She gave us all of the information we would need to fully enjoy the space and surrounding area - even giving suggestions of places to visit and explore. We will definitely be returning just to enjoy this home for a bit longer!

This is a lovely home with every amenity necessary for a comfortable stay. The home is older and full of charm, and Leigh graciously gave us all the information we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. The neighborhood is very walkable with plenty of cute shops and good restaurants close by. We will definitely stay here again!

We spent little time at the house, however was very quiet sleeping and stayed cool during heat wave. Conveniently located as we walked to coffee and breakfast.

Just love old Victoria House's. This one had so much charm. The hot tub area was so nice to hangout with family. Kept looking for ghosts but never saw any but felt like it might have some. So for people like me who are always looking for ghosts this house is perfect!

Four of us stayed for three nights and it was perfect for us. It is a great location for those who want to be able to walk into town, it is close to lots of wineries and the house is also a very comfortable place to relax at. It has a well equipped kitchen for those who want the option to eat in and a nice outdoor seating area (although it was too cold for us to take advantage of that this trip). Leigh was a wonderful host and spent time when we got there walking us through the house and amenities. She was also on hand for anything we needed while we were there. One thing to note for those visiting this part of Oregon during the winter, the Willamette Valley is prone to boxelder bugs which we experienced here and at several of the wineries. Not a big deal since they are harmless and easy to catch, just don't be surprised! We would highly recommend staying here.

This is our third time staying at University House. Leigh is hands down the best host I’ve ever had. The house is beautifully maintained with true to period furniture and modern conveniences. Whenever we travel to the Willamette Valley, this is truly our home away from home.

First, the one gripe... the listing indicates that both bathrooms have a shower, well, that's not the case which can put a crimp on 2 couples sharing the house. And, the 1 shower is a step in tub...a very big step in, so no one with limited movement should rent this. All that said, the host(s), and comfort/coziness and location of this more than made up for all of that and then some. We found this to be a great base of operations to explore the wine, food and parks in the area. Highly recommend this very cozy house!!

The location could not be better for wine tasting in the Williamette Valley. And the house! The house is beautiful & perfectly maintained with gorgeous antique furniture. We immediately felt “at home”. We spent our evenings enjoying the hot tub and patio area. Leigh the owner/host was super helpful and nice. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we’re in the area!

Our stay was super! It was wonderful to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, and easily view art and birds around campus. Having a quiet, covered outside area with grill was perfect. Our "welcome", fresh flowers, and recommendations from Leigh made the stay special. I'm not going to spoil the surprise - but I suggest staying in the room with the black light for a magical sleeping environment!
