We had a wonderful stay at Paradox lake!! The house is lovely and well maintained. The screened in porch is perfect for hanging out day and night, living room is big and great for rainy day lounging, and there is plenty of sleeping space. The property is beautiful with shared beach and gorgeous mountain views over the amazing lake! Overall, was the perfect place to stay with friends, family, and young children.

This house was just right for our family of 4 adults - not too big and not too small. The kitchen is excellent, the living room big and pleasant, and the screened-in porch wonderful. We ate all our meals outside on the porch, which is the location of the only sizable table in the house. We slept very well - it was very dark and quiet at night. The lake is lovely, but is a distance from the house down a long open lawn. Unfortunately, this summer has been very very rainy in the Adirondacks, and this turned large parts of the lawn into a sodden mess. This made the walk back and forth from the house to the lake a bit unpleasant, although it didn't keep us from enjoying swimming and kayaking. There were also a lot of mosquitos, presumably due to the completely soaked lawn. So between the rain, the mud, and the mosquitos, we didn't get to spend as much time outside as we would have liked. The neighbors (who were very nice and friendly) told us that this year has been unusually wet, so I suspect that we simply had bad luck. We did have a lovely campfire one night, and got in some good star gazing. The owners were very responsive when we had questions, and they had provisioned the house very well. We had a lovely time, despite the weather.

The kids loved the swing and the lake. We can't say enough good about the location and amenities. Mike was responsive and helpful. It was perfect for our crew and we already want to go back. Just make sure to bring plenty of bug repellent.

The cottage has a nice view of the lake and a short walk to the beach. The beach is shared with a few other houses, and while there were a few families on the weekends it was pretty quiet during the week. Everyone was very friendly. The property is essentially flat which was very important having my mom there. We rented the 2 boats which were a big hit.. There were some weeds between shore and the swim raft which the kids didn't mind. Saw some gorgeous sunsets out on the kayaks and canoe. Enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. Very clean. Close to Schroon Lake to get food and not too far to Lake George.

The house surpassed our expectations and was even nicer than in the pictures. Beach was shared with very friendly neighbors who were really only around on the weekend- during the week we felt as if we had the whole beach to ourselves. We spent most of our time floating, kayaking, and playing games on the screen porch. The house was very comfortable and there was so much to do right on the property that we didn’t feel the need to leave. We did take a hike up Severence (very close by). Our 20-something kids enjoyed the stay just as much as we did- it was the perfect place to relax and unwind, read books, laze about and spend time as a family. We didn’t have any little ones with us, but it would be a perfect spot for small kids with a huge lawn to play on, and a sandy beach with shallow water. We would love to stay here again!

This was our 10th trip to the ADK region. We've never stayed in the same place twice, but I would definitely stay here again! Beautiful views of lake and mountains, and a great house with everything needed to keep adults and 3 young teens occupied. It was centrally located to all the day trips we had planned and was a fun, relaxing place to come back to. Thanks Robin & Michael!

It needs to be renamed: Paradox Paradise. The views
This beautiful setting provided the peaceful setting we were looking for. The home was equipped with every essential needed for a fun-filled Adirondack style retreat. The yard, game tables and courts ,and covered porch eliminated any possibility of asking, what can we do now? So many ways to have fun here! The large mouth bass fishing did not disappoint! The owners were prompt in addressing any questions or needs, and made us feel very much at home in their own place. Above all, the views from this cabin are frame worthy, even in a misty rain. If you are looking for a true Adirondack setting laced in ample amenities for a family, this is it.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Just a Dream. The house was excellently appointed and clean with an amazing view, the pictures do not do it justice. There were many activities to keep us all busy indoors and out and we enjoyed the beach, fire pit and rope swing as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this property or return ourselves.

A beautiful vacation home
Our family enjoyed our week at Paradox Lake. It was our first time visiting the Adirondacks, and the area did not disappoint. The house itself had plenty of activities for us to use (ping pong, shuffle board, pool, volley ball, darts) and we rented the fishing boat which was fun as well. We also used the kayaks and swam. The several families/neighbors you share the beach with were friendly.
The week we were there a neighboring property was having trees cut down, so there was a lot of chainsaw and tree falling noise but there was nothing to be done about that. Our hosts were helpful and the house was perfect for our family. We have recommended it to several of our friends who would enjoy an active vacation.

A very nice time in a beautiful place. Lots of thing to keep our 5 yr old grandson busy, and a great lake to be in and near. Host were very helpful and the home is fine for a lake side treat.

A true gem
Our family had the perfect vacation at Just a Dream. The place is very clean, modernity renovated, and well stocked with kitchen items and more game options than you could imagine. The pool table was the biggest hit, and the screened in porch is amazing. The beach is truly down the front lawn, and the sand and floating dock were the favorites of our 7 and 2 year-old. Mike greeted us shortly after our arrival and answered all our questions. We got to know some of the neighbors, too, which was a real bonus. This is a family spot, and we would love to return soon.

Great Escape
Our family had a terrific stay at 'Just A Dream' on Paradox Lake, a much needed escape from this new pandemic life. The owners were available but not intrusive, and the property was clean and with great access to the lake. The house has numerous amenities and creative touches. Our kids enjoyed the beach area and kayaks, and we had a couple of great campfires. The rope swing was a hit, and the screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee, meals, and just hanging out. We did several hikes, including a trip up to the High Peaks region for the kids 1st 46er. We had a great time!

Relaxing
The house was clean, and had everything we could possibly need available to us. The owner was great, friendly and attentive. Neighbors were super friendly and quiet, absolutely no issues. A very memorable retreat!
This house exceeded our expectations. Our family was looking for an escape from Brooklyn this summer after our kids summer camps were canceled because of Covid. All we wanted to do was create a memorable summer that would lift everyone's spirits. This house did just that an more. The house was in perfect condition, the grounds were pristine and the lake was breathtaking. The home's owner was extremely warm and accommodating. We relaxed, we had adventures and we forgot how crazy the world is for just a little while!

Perfect spot for kids-tree swing, ping pong, toys, steps to the shared beach for safe swimming, and fishing out of a boat. The amazing screened porch is the best part of the house. We can’t wait to go back.

Fun filled lakefront
Cozy house right by the lake with many fun activities. Private beach (shared with very nice neighbors) right in front of the property with canoes, kayaks, small motor boat (fun to take a small tour of the lake), volleyball court, table tennis.... A lot of hiking trails in the area, from easy to challenging. The house looks better in person than on the pictures. Michael was very easy to communicate with. Kids had a lot of fun and so did we. The local restaurants in Schroon Lake were pretty good too.

Gorgeous Adirondack Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay at Mike and Robin’s “Just a Dream” cabin. The house is beautiful, with plenty of games and a pool table on the porch. The screened-in porch is a wonderful place for dining. The kids had a fantastic time kayaking and swimming in the lake. All the beds are comfy and the house is very clean and well stocked. Mike was super helpful and responsive to our questions. We hope to go back next summer!

Amazing Vacation at Lake Paradox
We had a great time staying at this property. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is beautifully updated and decorated- very comfortable. The screened in porch was so nice in the mornings or if the weather wasn’t ideal. The location (right on the lake with a beach) couldn’t have been better for our family. So much to do right on the property... fire pit, volleyball, pool table, kayaks, canoe etc. A short drive to Schroon where there are restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The owner was reachable and immediately responded to any questions. We would absolutely love to return.

Fantastic Family Vacation
Our family of 4 adults and 4 children had a fabulous vacation. The house is beautifully decorated and clean and larger than it looks in the pictures. The property is large and well maintained and we stayed right there the entire week and didn’t leave the property. We swam, boated, played, relaxed and had campfires every day. Mike and Robin are friendly, available and super hosts !!!!!

Our family of five and two additional gusts have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property. By far, the best family vacation we have ever been to. The house was perfect, the land was beautiful and the water was relaxing and safe for the kids. This is a hidden paradise and we recommend it to anyone and everyone. Had a wonderful time in this fully stocked, fully furnished cottage. Boat availability was especially satisfying. Owner couldn't have been more friendly, easygoing or generous. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit back to a lake where we had been owners for 28 years (at the other end).

The PERFECT vacation!
House was so clean and had all the conveniences of home. There was even a highchair for our 1 yr old granddaughter. If you are looking for a private, quiet, but activity-filled vacation, this is the place!! Canoes and kayaks are provided, which we used daily! Paradox is a beautiful lake - very clean and the water was warm. The sandy beach was great fun for our granddaughter. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Just a Dream!!! We recommend it HIGHLY.
