Once you have discovered this quiet and peaceful vacation spot, you will definitely want to come back. This is our fifth time here and each time it keeps getting better. The cabin is always very clean, comfortable, and well equipped and the views out the window are spectacular. This is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with family. Matt has always been a perfect host and goes out of his way to make sure you feel welcome and have a memorable vacation. Thanks Matt!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Communication was very good, and check-in and -out were seamless. After a day of activity, it was such a blessing to come home to a quiet retreat with what we needed for meal preparation and rest. The cabin is nestled among the trees with glimpses of distant tree covered mountains. We arrived a week early for the changing of autumn colors but gained a preview of what would be in store for travelers coming after us. My personal favorite spot in the house was the upstairs nook, overlooking the large windows in the family room. It was a perfect location for a cup of coffee, blanket, and my quiet time devotional. The cabin is spacious and offers a variety of kitchen gadgets and utensils for cooking and an outdoor grill, which we used daily. There is a basement space housing a lounge and game room area, which would be great for entertaining on a rainy or snowed-in day. If staying in the area again, I would eagerly return.

We had such a lovely stay for the weekend in this cabin, it was ticket away perfectly. We enjoyed evenings by the fire and cookouts with our friends! The cabin was clean and felt very new, with updated appliances! We were obsessed with the comfort of the couch, you just totally sink into it, great for a movie night and naps! We liked the area a lot, it felt perfectly secluded. We didn’t hear anything or anyone around which is really nice. The view is really pretty, definitely sunrise/sunset picture worthy!

We spent a peaceful weekend in this nice cabin. The house is very clean and has everything we need. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The location is convenient to local stores and restaurants. We enjoy the mountain view and as the other reviewer said, it is even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. Hope we will stay here again in the near future.

If you are looking for a cabin on the mountain… this is a perfect place for your family! Everything was clean and we loved the attention to details. Beds were super comfy and cozy. The location was perfect for a trip to Asheville or Morganton. This will definitely be our place to stay again…

We enjoyed the comforts of home at this property. Having the outdoor fire pit was delightful. Meals out on the spacious deck were made spectacular by the gorgeous Mountain View. Our host was responsive and helped us feel at home as well.

The property was beautiful in a quiet setting. Lots of games and books for children of all age groups. Had a fully stocked kitchen with lots of small appliances, dishes and glasses. It was conveniently located as it was very close to grocery stores - just a few mins away by car. Matt was very prompt in his responses and is an excellent host.

Private house. Very clean. Well stocked. Owner had great communication. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

This property is a must visit. The views are amazing but the comfort is even better. Matt was amazingly responsive and helpful. He has games available to keep the entire family entertained. The property is close to most things and very convenient.

We can to Matt’s cabin cause it was a perfect “ in the middle “ location for our numerous adventures we wanted to take the kids on and hike as well. It was a beautiful home with gorgeous views! Very clean, huge kitchen with ample room for sitting, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, access to laundry, large fire pit area and a great propane grill to cook on after the days out on adventures! Matt also kept in close touch with me over an internet problem at the very start of the trip! Quick fix and all was good! I would highly recommend his property !

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Wish we could have stayed longer. The directions to remedy the low water pressure worked like a charm!!

Very well equipped cabin, beds were very comfortable, and the cabin was quite simply CLEAN. very noticeable and what a difference it made compared to some other we have stayed at. The firepit was welcome and enjoyed and the supplied firewood made this a no-brainer. Would love to see a hot tub and a finished game room in the basement as we had two full days of heavy rain. The owners had a very well prepared book of instructions for any issues that mighty come up and were very responsive when I had to reach out on an item. Outstanding place. Thank you very much for such a welcoming place.

My family went up to the cabin for a long weekend and had a great time. The first night we were there we used the grill to cook steaks and then made s’mores around the fire pit. We also watched a movie and played games we found in the game cabinet with the kids. The next morning we spent the day in Asheville which was an easy drive. The day after that we went on a remarkable hike and then to the Sierra Nevada tap room. We wished we had more time in the area as there was so much to do. Overall, we had a great time. The cabin was well stocked with essentials like paper towels, garbage bags, etc. It was nice knowing we didn’t have to go out and buy a bunch of items. The property owners did a great job communicating with us before the trip and there were two binders filled with information. The cabin was in amazing condition, everything worked, and the view was beautiful. The gate gave a sense of security and even though we were close to town, we felt like we were out in the forest. We had an amazing time and hope to return.

We truly enjoyed our stay for the weekend. Cabin was clean with very comfortable furnishings. Beds were soft and had great sheets. The view was outstanding, a very private property. Easy paved drive, close to town and restaurants. Shout out to Leah at Luisas Italian, great service and amazing food. Could have used a dumbwaiter to get our huge heavy cooler upstairs, will Pack 2 smaller ones next time 🤣.

Spent the holidays in the woods and it was a perfect reset for the family. House was nicely decorated with a tree and decor for the holidays. New appliance in the kitchen made cooking very easy and enjoyable. Very clean rental and owner was very responsive with communication leading up to the trip. Thanks for a great getaway from the city!

The place is in a great location and has a wonderful setting with views and a sense of privacy. Close to town should you need to go in for supplies or a meal. Kitchen is very well stocked. The home was comfortable for the seven of us but I'd recommend 6 as the cap. The bed we slept in was VERY soft to the point that I could not sleep on that mattress. Zero support. But that is a preference. The downstairs space is really a three-season space as there is no heat or AC down there. All that said we would definitely recommend the rental to others and may well come back ourselves.

My family and I had a great time staying here. It’s a beautiful property with tons for amenities. Very clean cabin too. Only thing is to remember to bring towels and linens.

No towels, sheets pillow cases. Need to take your garbage home with you. Host charged extra because dishwasher was full, one coffee cup left in sink and a couple items left in fridge. Won’t stay again.

This cabin has breathtaking views, excellent amenities, up to date appliances, a full kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. SO clean! And a very responsive Host. Hope to return.

We loved staying in this beautiful home in the hills of Marion. The house had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Loved the ride up the hills. The location was close to some great little towns. I would recommend staying at this lovely property!

Overall the stay was good. We enjoyed the views and the house was well equipped with all the kitchen essentials and the games were a plus. However, I was surprised to get an email after booking reminding us to pack our own linens as they are not provided. This was not disclosed on the listing. I emailed the owner to confirm and never heard back. We obviously packed our linens but it would have been nice to know this up front because I probably would have rented another spot due to the hassel of bringing our own and limited car space. The water pressure at the house was also very bad. If the shower was running you could not turn a sink on, run dishwasher or laundry machine, or even flush a toilet. There were directions to follow if water pressure was low but we still did not have success in getting it strong.

This house is beautiful inside and out! The view is amazing, the wrap around deck is such an experience and the house inside is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We honestly didn’t want to leave.
