We wanted a big house with Western charm for our family & friends. This is a beautifully decorated and maintained home right on the lake. Very comfortable and was perfect for us. The house manager, Nick, was great in every way and took good care of us.

Our family has been staying at this vacation home for the past 8 years as we gather for our family reunions. The home has all the needed amenities, plenty of space, large green lawn, a dock for boating and swimming, and even good fishing! It is close to Big Fork for shopping, and within easy driving distance to Glacier NP and Whitefish. The owners are very gracious and the past and current property managers (Melissa and Steve and now Nick) are so responsive and helpful as they endeavor to make the stay a perfect one for their guests. Our family loves this vacation home and will hopefully be able to enjoy it for many more years to come.

Property was awesome. Plenty of room for all of us. View from the deck was amazing. Water is shallow by the dock , so little ones could play in the water. House manager was on top of things. He responded quickly to any inquiry. Recommend staying here when in the area.

There is no place on earth like Flathead Lake. The home we were fortunate enough to get was not only beautiful, but the welcome from the property manager and shine of the housekeeping staff was beyond anything we expected. We loved every minute of our stay!

We have been coming to Flathead for many years and this is the first time we have stayed here. This home was everything we hoped for. The location is spectacular, and the accommodations were great for our group. We are already looking forward to next summer!!

First off, Manager Melissa was excellent. The place does have a lot of personal items, so, take some pictures if you move anything so you can get them back where they belong. We had an issue with a missing teddy bear but it was found put away so my grandchildren didn't mix it up with their teddy bears. Also, when getting there make sure to walk the property. It's beautiful location also creates animal situations. On the last night, we found bat feces at the corner of the house. We found a bat (the morning checking out) stuck in the inside of the screen door and had it tested (inconclusive). If you or your guests need to work on the internet, it is very slow. However, living remotely, you can't expect much else. The house does need some TLC in a few spots, the ice maker didn't work, but as Melissa explained, there is such a shortage of labor in Flathead, they were having problems hiring repair workers. Overall, it is a beautiful location for a family get together.

The Perfect Vacation Spot....
This was our 4th stay at this property. We love everything about it....the size of the home and adjacent guest cabin is perfect to house our family. The family enjoys all the water sports, plus activities at nearby Glacier National Park. The home is spotless upon arrival, and the property managers, Melissa and Steve respond within minutes to any questions or help we might need. The decks and dock are great gathering places to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake. Our family has been vacationing at Flathead Lake for over 50 years.

Anniversary Vacation
We just completed our first stay at this beautiful property. We spent two weeks and couldn't have had more fun. It is the perfect place for small to medium gathering. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and numerous other milestones and birthdays.
The accommodations are great with a very unique western theme. The big deck was a great place to hang out and watch sunsets. We were there over the 4th and could see countless tiny firework shows across the lake and there were several others nearby. It was very cool!
The water was very cold but everyone of us got used to it by the end of the stay. The grandchildren got used to it by the end of the first day. We spent countless hours tubing and laughing at the spills.
The house is great, we loved it. We did have two minor issues that Melissa had fixed very quickly. Issues in a house happen, get over it.
All in all, I give this property at least 5 stars and we will be back next year."

Wonderful cabin
We recently spent a week on this property and it was everything you could ask for. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished off the dock and the kids spent hours playing in the yard. It is a beautiful, peaceful setting and our family enjoyed every minute of our time there. We didn't want to leave and hope to stay in this cabin again in the future. This is a hard one….
We enjoyed our stay…it’s Flathead Lake, how could you not. With that said- this place is all about its location.
It is very dated and the online pictures need updated for sure. There are lots of personal family items there too. Doesn’t feel relaxing.
No hot tub like in the pics and the dock is in need of major repair. Three of us went through the loose boards. There’s no rope swing off it either- kids were super bummed. The people are very nice to deal with though.

Montana Flathead fun
A really fantastic location on beautiful Flathead Lake! The main house was a great "center" for our large (12) family activities and meals. It was very comfortable and accommodating. The boat/swimming dock and beach area are just as described on the website....the make the access to the amazing water super easy.

Beautiful house in a perfect location! Air Conditioning was a big bonus this year. Close to Bigfork stores and gas station, easy access to the Kalispell airport. Quiet location since it's off the highway. Nice grass backyard and good dock.

Lovely property, but with some maintenance issues
The listing for this property fairly represents its best features - comfortably accommodates a large family gathering, has a great private dock on a spectacular part of the lake, and is conveniently located near Big Fork without losing the feeling of seclusion. The problems we encountered mostly had to do with how well the home has been maintained. The kids' room in the basement was totally flooded the week we were there. An AC repair man came on our first day, but the unit continued to leak and the carpet was soaked the entire time, making the room unusable. We also wanted to use the BBQ on the first night, but when we turned it on, a fire ball practically erupted from the BBQ because the grease pan hadn't been cleaned in so long. We spent a long time cleaning the BBQ ourselves because we had intended to rely on it to do a lot of our cooking for the week. The screen doors are ripped and don't stay on their tracks, so bugs and bats were a concern all week if the glass doors were open (which they had to be because the AC wasn't working and it got too hot in the cabin without the doors open). Overall, this is a lovely property that hasn't been cared for as well we would have hoped.

We had a lovely time at this property. The location between woods bay and big fork is perfect. Short boat rides either direction, which was perfect for taking the boat to dinner and sunset cruises.

This was our second stay at this property and we hope for more in the future. The home is beautiful as well as the adjacent guest house. Well equipped. Close to Bigfork. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. We truly love this home with its large grassy area and dock. Highly recommend for a large family.

Dreamy vacay with family
From the moment we walked into this property we knew we had chosen wisely! It was the perfect place for our family of 8 to
enjoy everything Flathead has to offer. We went fishing with a guide from the handy harbor nearby one day, we rented stand up boards and kayaks to keep at the dock. Our grandchildren spent hours playing on the lakeside, even swimming in that icey water. We rented a speed boat and whisked around the lake. We spent a fabulous day visiting our friends, by boat, who were guests at Averils Dude Ranch. We attended the Fourth of July parade in Big Fork and our last night we went to the Rodeo. It was an absolutely amazing week. The house itself, perfectly set up for family with a master upstairs which was perfect for our privacy and downstairs, bedrooms for our children and even a bedroom with bunk beds which the grandchildren were so excited about. They called them "bonk beds". We will be back.
Info from owners was a little sparse so it caused me a little anxiety when I hadn't been given the address until a week out.
All went well however, I'm just a person that likes communication (especially when I've paid $9,000 for the privilege). We're looking forward to another family stay the year after next because next vacay we're going to Hawaii...always good with kids.

Well designed property on a spectacular lake, quite possibly the best family friendly lake ever.
Lots of beds, lots of bathrooms, as advertised. Good access to the dock and small beach with room to tie up the three boats we had. Clear, clear water at a perfect swimming temperature. The house was very livable with some minor irritations (gas stove burners sometimes needed to be lit with a match, old and dirty tea towels and pot holders, some basic utensils missing). Maintenance company immediately responsive when we called with concerns. There is a hot tub on the property but for some reason we were not allowed it’s use. Some paint is needed outside but that did not detract from our enjoyment. The journey from the main house to the guest house and also down to the dock could be described as vertical so be prepared. Also be prepared to launch your boat at nearby Woods Bay before bringing the empty trailer back to the house. In order to manoeuvre on the property, we had to unhook and move the trailers by hand before we could turn the vehicles around. Good grocery store in nearby Bigfork along with a few restaurants and tourist shops. Worth a visit.

Simply unbelievable
This property is amazing. Starting with the location: right on Flathead Lake, with a dock connecting directly to the property. And the lake is stunningly beautiful. The house itself is thoughtfully designed-- most rooms open to either the backyard or a balconly, the décor is rustic and high quality-- the house is so great that there were days that we didn't leave at all. It's especially perfect for people with kids, because there's so many different spaces that is very hard for them to get bored. We definitely plan to return!

Amazing Vacation Place!
This place is absolutely stunning. Our whole family had one of the most memorable summers ever with great friends! We paddle boarded and kayaked and in the evening made smores on the beach. The house and cabin are both super nice, clean and comfortable. At night if you leave a window open you can hear the waves on the lake rolling into the beach just at the bottom of the yard. The views are spectacular and the water is very clear. We can't wait to go back! Montana is so beautiful!

Elegant yet comfortable
Our July 2016 week at the Lorang property was an amazing experience. Our family members felt so comfortable there among the exquisite details that made this residence unique. The workmanship, layout and impressive overall log design (decks, landscaping, boat dock, and Windows) all were spectacular features in a gorgeous Montana lake setting. However, many of our group felt nothing compared to the Native American art and decor that enriched the overall design. As you can tell, we had a wonderful wedding anniversary celebration with family that will long be remembered as our favorite experience in Montana! We would also like to acknowledge the personal communication with owners and managers, was, indeed remarkable. To anyone considering this property experience, do not hesitate..the Texas Group

Memories of a Lifetime
Our family gathered for a week to celebrate our parents' 60th anniversary . . . the setting directly on the Lake was fantastic! Beautiful mountain lodge style home offered stunning water views from every room, along with the best dining room table able to seat 14! The property is ideal for swimming, boating, lounging/talking on the large deck, preparing meals, enjoying games of pool, indoor sauna, TV (and movies), board games, and on and on. We visited Bigfork (the kids enjoyed a production of "Shrek: the Musical" at the Big Fork Summer Play House), Lakeside, and Polson . . . each community was unique and offered lots to do. Management is very helpful and helped to make everything smooth. The property was gorgeous and provided our family the perfect setting for a remarkable experience!

Three generations of family
We checked in 8-4-2014 and out 8-9-2014 after having 5 days of perfect temperatures and weather. Most went swimming. We enjoyed the sauna. Saw a good production of "West Side Story" at Big Fork Play House. Good prices, beer and food across Flathead Lake at Tamarack Brewery in Lake Side. We _BQ'd on the deck with propane. The home was well supplied with dishes, silverware, garbage bags, etc.
We stayed in touch with family and friends using the Wi Fi. Lots of TV channels.
Pool tournaments happened often among family members.
I could go on about this lovely home, but suffice it to say we loved the home and had a fun time.

Wonderful, Serene Vacation!
Great location on the beautiful Flathead Lake! Easy access for swimming and boating! Close to the artistic community of Big Fork and nearby Glacier Park. Woods Bay is also lively with the restaurants, clubs and boating activities. Lots to do, whether you want to relax or be active! The beds are comfortable, accommodations for anything you need or desire! Management was easy to work with - the community is friendly and relaxed!

Your own private 5 star home by the lake
For us this was our first trip to Montana. And boy! We are spoiled after renting this house. First, the the drive from the airport is simple and we had no problem finding the house. From the moment we entered the house, we knew this vacation was going to be unique. The house is simply a private five star hotel by the lake. And when I say by the lake, I mean you have your own little piece of heaven all to yourself. Just open the beautiful doors to the backyard and walk ten steps to your own dock and jump into the water! The house was immaculately clean and the landscapes are so beautiful. A mean, a huge pine tree welcomes everyone at the main entrance! Super country sweet! Also, we all had our own private rooms and bathrooms, since the house is huge. The local supermarket is 15 minutes away, as well as good restaurants, pharmacy, and the marina. So, there was never a dull moment and you always have easy access to all, including Glazier Park which is like 30 minutes away. But, honestly, just sitting at the dock or on one of the balconies, with a glass of wine at hand, that was simply enough for us. The view is simply unbelievable. Which was great, because some in the group preferred a mellow afternoon while others went hiking. So, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We are already planning our next trip to Montana all because of this house. Are we are planning on making it a yearly trip. Total privacy, your own piece of the lake, beautiful setting and five star accommodations.
