(New) Beautiful Ocean View - Cottage - Access to the Shore - 2 houses to rent

Great location right next to an active fishing pier. We have stayed here before and enjoy the open area that combines the kitchen and living room. There's a nice TV (around 55 inches with Roku ) to enjoy for the days you just want to hang around . There's a fire pit that my husband loves while watching the stars at night. You can get firewood at several places within 10 minutes of the place. The beds are comfortable and the master bedroom on the first floor has a new air conditioner which we only needed one night. The other days we opened the windows and got a nice coastal breeze in the house. A few minor things to improve would be to update the plates and utensils. Access to the shore was limited due to the weeds in the field being high and no easy way to find your way to the beach area. Overall, it's a great place to stay, relax and enjoy the fishing boats all day.

The house was perfect for what we were looking for. Peace, quiet, secluded, great views, comfortable living space!! Very clean, decorated nicely, close to local attractions but far enough away to be removed from the "tourist" feel. Loved it - thank you!!!

Our stay was excellent. The house and property are as pictured. The house is charming and has a pefect layout. Our teen enjoyed the loft.
The check-in and check-out was easy. The owners are very friendly, accessible, and have very few demands except to take care of the basics and to enjoy the stay.
We definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore Downeast Maine.

Great location! Enjoyed picking fresh blueberries and watching lobster boats off of the pier! Loved the private beach area for drinking morning coffee! Within an hours drive to most attractions!
Breakfast at Sugar and Crumbs Bakery and Paisley Loon. Fresh lobster eating at 44 Degrees North.

It was a nice place to get away.
A bit far from other places to go visit.
Food was good in the area.
House did have several ants inside be kitchen, we bout some ant traps and that took care of them.
Beautiful morning sunrises if we got up in time.
Did get some nice pictures.
Lobster people are very busy. Goggled a lot on lobstering.
It was fun and a great East Coast Trip.
Headed to Boston then Philly.
Thank you

This property was amazing! It was great just sitting outside watching the boats. A pier is right next door but I never got woken up by them. It is a nice quiet place to get away from everything. The town is only a few minutes a way and has a few good restaurants and stores. The house can get a little warm and stuffy. But if you keep the fans on and open the windows its fine. The breeze from the bay helps. It has it's own little beach a little ways from the house. The owner has put together a helpful binder for any questions you may have. It also contains menus for local restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

This was a great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday weekend. The beautiful sunrise over the working waterfront was just relaxing each morning. Even on a rainy morning the coast provides a mystique that is unparalleled.
The cottage is very clean and spacious with great natural light.
We were able to get few hikes in along the bold coast each day, with plenty of time to get back to the cottage and relax.

I brought my partner here for a relaxing weekend away and it was just what we needed. It is extremely comfortable and would be great for anyone with children too.

I love the coast of Maine esp in the late Fall when the cold is setting in. The working dock made for a great view for us. Lobster is just 1/4 mile down the road brought in by their own boats! This property was very accomodating will full size appliances and very warm. Lot of windows with a NEast view providing amazing sunrises. Owner was very quick in responding to my communication. King bed was extremely comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

beautiful home and even better views. Only about an hour drive from bar harbor and acadia which made day trips easy. Far enough away from there to enjoy peace and quit. Eat some of the best lobster rolls at Chipmans Warf for half the price you will pay in bar harbor!

What an exceptional property! Had everything we needed to feel right at home.
We had a glorious time here and spent much time exploring the surrounding towns offerings. Jeremy was an amazing host and answered all questions we may have had
Clean, efficient and comfortable.
Will surely be returning for our next Maine vacation!!

This was the absolute perfect place me and my husband to reconnect! The location is so quiet and peaceful, I could just feel the stress melt away. Sitting on the back porch watching the boats on the water is my new happy place. The house was super clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you would need. Just the right amount of space for two (and a loft for little kiddos, too) The town of Milbridge is small but there is a grocery store and a couple of restaurants, Winter Harbor is about 1/2 hour away and Bar Harbor is about 1 hour away. But the distance to the "bigger" cities is worth it for the solitude. I hope to come back again soon

We had the best time in Maine! We explored Bar Harbor, Acadia, Schoodic, and Quoddy! The house was in a great central location for our day trips! We loved the parks, but found ourselves excited to get back to the house, build a small fire and watch the lobster boats come in for the day on the pier next door! We even loved exploring around the house by walking out in the pier and walking on the small beach and rocky shore down by the water! We cooked breakfast at home each morning and cooked our own lobsters we bought from Chipman’s Warf right down the road 3 of the 5 nights we stayed, so awesome! The house was well supplied with everything we needed! Would recommend this house and would love to return some day! Thanks Jeremy!!

This newer, open concept bayfront cottage was comfortable, clean & uncluttered with nice views of Narraguagus Bay. There is a working lobsterman's wharf right next door so we got to enjoy watching the lobster boats come and go. Cottage had everything we needed and the WiFi was reliable. We also appreciated that the hosts are dog friendly so our little Yorkie could come along for the fun! Being just off Route 1, it was a good halfway point for visiting Acadia National Park (about 1 hour away), Schoodic Peninsula (about 1/2 hour away) and Quoddy Head State Park (about 1 hour away). We did eat at Vazquez Mexican Takeout and Milbridge House and both were very good. If you want an authentic Downeast experience in a working costal village then this is a good choice.

Sunrises have been amazing! Great location close to preserves and walking trails. A few minor things were not as listed with the property... Grill was in pieces and not usable. Dryer was inoperable. Had to vacuum when arrived due to pet hair being throughout the home. Only bad thing about the location was the neighboring pier......People come and go all night long and made me a bit uneasy due to the 10 feet from the front door and they constantly were driving ion and out and also idling in the parking lot area

Seamless. Showed up late, woke up to a spectacular view! Place was perfect and we were able to grab lobster rolls next door and do a picnic in the backyard. It’s definitely fare from everything, but that fit the bill.

Read the description of any VRBO carefully, I missed the detail and upon arrival (July 2022) we discovered the home did not have A/C. It's not uncommon for homes in Maine to not have air but unfortunately, it was warmer than usual the week we stayed and very humid. We turned on the ceiling fans and found a box fan in the main bedroom which was needed because only 1 of 2 windows could be opened. The other was broken and marked keep closed. The first night the sheets did not smell clean and I had to wash the linens for the remainder of our stay. The home definitely needed a good cleaning as there was dog hair and a buildup of dust especially around the vent over the stove which I had to clean prior to cooking for my family (visible from the loft area especially when the sun shined through the large windows). The large windows were great, but they heat up the inside on a summer morning. With the humidity plus the additional heat from the sun we had to leave early in the morning because it was just too hot inside. A grill is available, but we were unable to locate grilling tools. We worked around it. Beware: the photos posted for this home are taking during winter. In the summer there is no open area as shown for kids to play as we found it filled in with weeds or brush though it was described as a meadow and the beach had some old tires and trash so we did not go down by the water. We enjoyed watching the boats go out and come back and the noise from the dock didn't really impact us but will if you're a light sleeper. Due to the water and the time of year we visited we could not sit outside on the small patio without being attacked by mosquitoes. Even using the grill was a blood fest! Bring mosquito spray. The citronella candles were well used and did not offer any support outside. Overall, the home provided a place for us to sleep but there were too many unexpected details that fell short of our expectations.
The home is secluded and about an hr and 45 mins from the main area of Acadia. However, from Millbridge don't miss out visiting Schoodic Point before the long drive to the main part of the national park... absolutely stunning! We also visited a few times for crab and lobster Chipman's Wharf. Fresh off the boat, cooked on site, seating upstairs to enjoy lunch, and very nice people.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for our 30th anniversary. It’s a lovely, comfortable house overlooking the water, and we were able to see the lobster boats pass by. We had a delicious lunch at Vazquez’s Takeout on Main Street! We told a shop owner in Lubec we were staying in Milbridge, and even he had heard all the way up there how great Vazquez’s is! The house was so nice and relaxing to come back to after our days out and about. We would definitely stay there again!

The images on VRBO were beautiful. The views were nice and we had high hopes until after we went to bed. Next to the house is a lobsterman pier. At 3:30 each morning, dozens of large trucks arrived with fishermen who started their day, filling the house with noise of men shouting, engines and lights that flooded the house from the pier. The owners had a fan

Property was nice with lobster boat creating a nice New England view on water.

The home was beautiful and right on the water so we enjoyed the gorgeous sunrise and watching the lobster boats all day. That being said, it did not feel as though the home had been cleaned aside from providing fresh towels and sheets. That was a bummer as we had hoped to be there more and do some cooking and didn’t really want to do that after seeing the place.

We were there 2 night. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. 50 minute drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia NP through gorgeous terrain. Water right outside your front door! The town of Milbridge is small/quaint, had all local services we needed. Would definitely recommend.

398 Wyman was a super cute home and very clean. The home was stocked with everything you’d need except food and personal items.
If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and not too far from stuff to do this is the place.

This cottage by the sea was exactly what we were looking for! It is located close to the water with a fantastic view! We could watch "Lobster TV" right out our window. We saw lobster boats coming and going, even though it was early in the season and few lobstermen were working. One day I visited with 2 who were loading bait onto their boat, preparing to go out and check their traps. Chipman's Wharf right down the road.was a great place to buy live lobster. The sunrises were gorgeous! There is a park just down the road that has a rocky shoreline better than Acadia! The owner was easy to communicate with and responded to our needs. We'd love to come here again!
