Unless you've stayed somewhere before, the only thing you have is recent reviews to go by. Good or bad I believe you should be honest with your reviews for the next person. Pros: Very friendly hosts who live right next door just in case you need anything. Small pond right outside your back patio, and very close to town. Cons: Cottage has a very weird layout. The main entrance door is in the bathroom. So if your showering you can't use the main entrance. No heat. It was a little chilly on a few nights and we found out there is no heat in the cottage. Tons of little noises that keep waking you up like the constant dripping refrigerator and the wind blowing thru the rafters. And the last con was the area. The road was a dead end road and felt very shady and run down and very close to the main road. In conclusion, it was clean and had everything you needed but I would not stay again

Terrific cottage with an amazing backyard setting overlooking a lake replete with scenic and friendly wildlife. The hosts could not have been nicer or more thoughtful.

The cottage was perfect for my short stay in Englewood. The location was convenient!! It was clean and the setting so peaceful. Jon and Theresa were great and so accommodating.

Cozy, quaint Florida cottage close to Lemon Bay and minutes from local Stump Pass, Englewood & Manasota Key. Boca Grande, Little Gasparilla Island only 20-30 minutes (to Southern tip)! Close to shopping and Old Englewood. Take a stroll down Dearborn! This cottage is off historic Dearborn Road. Alligator viewing in the evening was quite exciting In the pond behind the cottage! No worries. They remained in the pond!

Enjoyable stay.

This is a lovely cottage situated near the edge of a very large and serene pond. It’s extremely well furnished with all the extra towels and supplies you need and is decorated very creatively and cleverly (I kept noticing new things I’d missed). The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal like you would at home and even has a ‘miscellaneous drawer’ full of tacks, pencils and clips. I enjoyed having coffee on the lanai each morning and watching the sun rise over the very placid pond. It was very comfortable and homey and I look forward to spending another week there soon.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was a lovely pool. The location was great, quiet and on a beautiful little pond teaming with wildlife. Very relaxing and private, but just minutes from restaurants and beaches. Our hosts were terrific and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent again.

This was a great place to stay for a last minute trip. Except for the weather that was a bit on the cold side for March, it was very nice. Would stay again.
