The house was clean and very spacious. It was so quiet and we loved that we could walk out the back door and be right at the water. There was plenty of space to cook and more towels in the bathroom than we needed for the week. We had everything we needed away from home. The beds were comfy and so peaceful to sleep with the sound of the water only a short distance away. We will definitely stay here again when we visit again.

This was our 2nd time staying here. Love this cottage and was SO happy to see that there has been some freshening up with paint inside and out. Plus new faucets, etc. if you are looking for a small, quaint place to stay on D.I.? Consider this …

The location is perfect and the pier is a real plus.

We absolutely love staying in this house! It’s so perfect for our 4 and 5 year old being on the bay side. It’s also perfect with the dock so we can fish right off of it. Will be staying here again!!

We loved the quiet location of this VRBO. Very private and peaceful. If you’re looking to relax and unwind with no one bothering you, this is your place. Kids friendly and so many fun things to do on the island, even in the winter months.

The house was way more spacious than I thought it would be and well equipped. Very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect even with little toddlers. Enjoyed the fishing off the private dock. Loved the quiet and privacy of the house and the island. We would book again if we go back to Dauphin Island.

The cabin is charming, clean and comfortable! The views of the bay were beautiful and relaxing. I loved the decor and furniture. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and the open concept was nice. Although it is on the bay, you do have views of the gulf. Great location on this lovely island. I would definitely book again!

Really clean beach house with a fantastic view! Beautifully decorated. Lots of board games for a rainy day. The beds were not super comfy, but also not uncomfortable. The kitchen provided the basics, but there were no extras that we have typically found in other homes, such as coffee filters for the provided coffee maker, ziplocks, aluminum foil, etc. Overall a fantastic stay!

The house was nice. The beds were comfortable and the living area and kitchen was pretty and well stocked with all that we needed. The only thing we didn’t like is there were no curtains on the windows leading to the deck in the living room and no curtain on the full glass door of the main entrance to the home. When we left an inside light on in the living room you could see everything inside this living area from the outside. We enjoyed the majestic view provided by the glass doors and windows, but curtains would be appreciated, especially at night for privacy. Other than that, it was a wonderful place with a beautiful view of the bay!

Stayed here for our anniversary. Wanted a quiet getaway and this home delivered! It’s decorated very cute, has games, TV with Amazon fire that we were able to watch anything we wanted, board games in the closet, full kitchen with basics, and a comfortable bed. Great for a single family or small group. We’d definitely come back!

I am sure I rented the best place on the island. It absolutely beautiful inside. Just like the photos in the advertisement. It's on the bay side, which made it more quiet ocean wave wise. The view of the horizon and ocean was gorgeous. Neighbors were night owls, but I was able to get peaceful sleep anyway. I absolutely loved the house and my own private beach at the dock which was a short walk from the house.

My husband and I loved everything about the stay. The location was perfect, decor was definitely spot on. Would definitely come back!

A fishing getaway with private covered pier out the back door was just what we needed. The ambiance of the Mississippi Sound with the bird watching and occasional dolphins swimming by was just beautiful and very peaceful. The neighbors attended their oyster farming pots on either side of the private pier and was fun to watch their daily routine. We were glad to drive a couple of miles to the Pirates Bar & Grill where they served up fresh raw oysters they said were from the other side of the island, probably the neighbors’ catch. The house exterior is a little rough but what house near the ocean isn’t? The house interior was spotless, fresh and adorable. Beds were comfy too. We would gladly revisit this rental and found it hard to leave when it was time because it had become “home”.

We wanted a relaxing vacation in a beautiful beach house and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was clean and the pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I loved the bay side because it has a private pier and the calm water was just so peaceful. We were able to relax and watch the sunrise and the sunset from the deck or the pier The gulf side is just across the street and you can even see it from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The view of the bay from the house was worth the entire trip. The beach house was the vacation and a perfect escape from work. Management was super helpful and you will not need for anything. We brought food from Skinner's and visited the galleries to get some souvenirs from local artists. One great feature not mentioned in other reviews was the deck had speakers so we could listen to music inside and outside. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Highly recommend!

Clean older home . I have stayed on the gulf and bay side before definitely like the the calm and quiet of the bay and watching the locals fish . Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet non party house get away

We had a fantastic time on our first trip to Dauphin Island. This property is very nice and has rhetoric you need. Very spacious and the large back deck overlooking the bay with its own fishing dock/pier is a HUGE bonus. It's very quiet and peaceful here. Not the place for people who love all the hubbub of places like Destin or Gulf Shores. But it's lovely, plenty of places to eat and this house is perfectly located and was exceptionally clean. Never needed to contact the management/owners either. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

House is on Bay side, but just a short walk across street to gulf beach and beautiful sunsets. Very quite neighborhood.

This is a lovely home in a lovely setting. It had everything we needed in the house, including a well-equipped kitchen. The view of the sound was beautiful, and there was easy access to the beach on the other side of the island. The twin room might be a bit tight for two adults staying for a week, but otherwise the house felt spacious.

Beautiful beaches and great restaurants

There were no window coverings on major windows and it was so dark outside. Very limited outdoor lighting. We were very uncomfortable with our visibility to anyone outside the house. The island seemed largely deserted as well. The living area furnishings were a bit shabby and quite stained. The slip covers need replacing. It was cold and our instructions said not to let the thermostat get above 62 degrees so we were quite uncomfortable with the temperature as well. We feel that the rental was not as advertised. We left the morning after we arrived due to serious discomfort with the safety and comfort of the place. We will not rent from you again and feel you owe us compensation for the balance of our rental that we missed.

The property is situated perfectly on the island. The kids loved the instant access to the water. We could sit and enjoy coffee on the porch and watch them play in the sand without ever leaving the house. Would certainly stay against

IIt was the best of both worlds, bay and beach. Quiet, beautiful. On;y thing that could make it better - reclining seats on the deck for afternoon naps and curtains of the back windows and maybe a paddle board. But it really was one of the best weeks ever.
