We liked the house. It was very clean. We did the linen package which helped since we were coming from Jersey. Loved the location of the house, easy to walk to some shops. Our 17 yr olds love that. The beach was with in walking distance. We did rent a golf cart. My elderly parents came with us so that helped in getting them to the beach. The only complaint was the grounds. We couldn’t use the volley ball court. It was covered in weeds and my husband weeded the pool area when we got there. That needed to be weeded as well. I understand that it’s hard to keep up with some of these things but we couldn’t use the volleyball court and that was disappointing. Other than that we had a nice stay.

This house worked out beautifully for our family vacation in the Outer Banks. We had plenty of space and it was easy to communicate with Beach Realty as needed. We really enjoyed having a pool right on the property and having multiple decks were terrific! Would definitely recommend this home.

We were so happy to have all our grandbabies coming! All 5 of them and big kids and Nana. Having so many people to decide to come was a dream come true. House was big enough for everyone. Beds wre comfortable. Ac was great. Had lots of room upstairs to all kids toys. Kitchen table was nice and big for all the kiddos. Pool looked small but kids love the extra steps and seats in pool.Big kid love it to.Sad new they took Play set down just before we came down, which is why we rent this place. 5 kid under 6. Needs alot of love outside. Nails were stick up, leaves in outside shower and grass around pool. Need a broom in kitchen.

Our family trip this year brought us to Casa Bella in Duck. The experience with the rental company was great from the start and remained as such for the duration of our stay. The location of the home was good for our needs - we did rent a golf cart to shuttle family from the house to the beach and strongly recommend doing the same if you have anyone unable to walk very long distances. The only complaint we had was overall condition of the home as it could benefit from some TLC on the interior. The outdoor amenities were great, pool was very clean and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our family’s first time in the Duck area. We picked this home because it fit our needs and was dog friendly. It was clean and everything worked fine. Main tv did not work but maybe it was user error? Not here to watch tv anyway. Lots of steps which is good exercise. Wife said where is the elevator. Lol. Location to beach was great. Was a very short walk. Would rent this again next time we plan a trip to Duck..

There is a reason we keep returning to this house... it’s perfect for our multi-generation family and dog! From the spacious living and bedroom areas to the pool and proximity to the beach and shops in Duck, we love coming year after year. And the rental company has been very quick to respond to the few minor issues that are bound to happen in any home towards the end of the summer season!

Great house for our group including two dogs! Large yard with private feel on the corner, pool and hot tub were lovely. Lots of great deck space coming off of all of the upper level rooms. The house comes stocked with really nice beach gear, chairs + umbrella, toys, cart etc. - loved being able to walk to lots of the main drag shops.

We appreciated the ample room for our group of 11 adults + a baby, and enjoyed being able to sit down together for meals at the large table. The linen service was wonderful. We also liked the location--close to shopping in Duck, and fairly close to the beach. However, we were disappointed by the unpleasant damp smell in the basement, the unusable volleyball court, the overgrown trees that blocked the sunsets, the non-functioning wagon to haul beach chairs, the broken/rusted beach equipment, the lack of deck chairs (only two for a house that sleeps 16), and the uncomfortable furniture in the living room.

The property was not clean. It was a dog friendly property, but every time my son got down to play with his toys on the floor he was covered in dog hair from the previous guest. It was so bad that he would break out from the dog hair that was left behind. It was clear the carpet was not vacuumed before we arrived. Other than that we loved the house and beach!

Overall, we were satisfied with our rental experience. There were some issues that I will address. The volleyball court was basically unuseable-weeds, etc growing in sand had not been cleared out nor was there a rake or tool for us to use to do it. The trees that grow close to the pool area should be cut back-they drop an unpleasant purple berry in the pool and on the area surrounding the pool.I understand that with such a quick turnover from one group to the next that there is little time for carpet cleaning- somehow, it should still be done. The last two times that we have rented in Duck, we found out upon arrival that the house we had rented was for sale. I do believe that the owners do not take as much pride in their rental when they are expecting to sell it (things that should be repaired or replaced are not). I do think that the rental company was responsive to maintenance issues we made them aware of and responded quickly in addressing those concerns. All in all we still had a very good vacation.

The walk to the beach is LONG and after a day of fun in the sun the return trip is even harder because of the incline back to the house. The house is lovely and well designed for noise purposes. It easily accommodated our family. The mattresses are in serious need of updating and the pool is quite small.

It is obvious from the lack of improvements that this house is for sale. No pool furniture has been added so they are down to three chairs. Same with deck furniture, some of which is broken. We love the layout of this house, just hope the new owners put some effort into making it more inviting.

There where a few things wrong with this rental the dryer stopped working the second day called the office they had it fixed that same day which was great , the volley ball court was unable to be used due to tree branches hanging in the court office was made aware of this alsó but unable to take care of it before we left. The pool did not get cleaned as it was suppose to be cleaned half way threw our vacation . But over all it was a great family vacation.

We did have a power outage but it seemed like the neighbors knew it was coming (we didn't know to expect it). We had troubles with the bathtub on the top floor draining, with 4 young kids needing baths, it was disappointing to see the tub filling up while trying to get cleaned in the shower. Or the tub taking 10 minutes to drain after an actual bath. When I contacted them about it, we were thanked for the feedback and told it would be passed on for assistance and we never heard anything.
All in all, it was a nice place and we absolutely WOULD stay there again.

Family fun
Family reunion week with 15 people. All enjoyed volleyball, pool, hot tub, outside decks, big family dinners, walks to Duck for shopping, donuts, and ice cream, and long days at the beach. we suggest you bring bikes or scooters to ride to the beach. Poolside and deck furniture - would have been so much better to enjoy outside with some decent lounge chairs. Overall house was great.

The house location was an absolute A+. It is close to the shops and beach as well. The amenities and home layout was great for all the adults and kids. You can see and hear the ocean from the house. The sunrises and sunsets were the best. Very quiet neighborhood. Great place to stay for all ages and never heard “I’m bored” from the teenagers. The volleyball court was the highlight of the time spent at the house. Many laughs, challenges and smack-talk on that sand court. Back to the location, whether you want to go to Corolla, Kitty Hawk/Nags or simply explore Duck there is plenty to do in a close vicinity. I would suggest a gas grill but that did not, by no means dampen our trip. Thank you for providing a great place for our much needed vacation.

Long overdue vacation
The house location was an absolute A+. It is close to the shops and beach as well. The amenities and home layout was great for all the adults and kids. You can see and hear the ocean from the house. The sunrises and sunsets were the best. Very quiet neighborhood. Great place to stay for all ages and never heard “I’m bored” from the teenagers. The volleyball court was the highlight of the time spent at the house. Many laughs, challenges and smack-talk on that sand court.
Back to the location, whether you want to go to Corolla, Kitty Hawk/Nags or simply explore Duck there is plenty to do in a close vicinity.
I would suggest a gas grill but that did not, by no means dampen our trip.
Thank you for providing a great place for our much needed vacation.

This is an amazing house. Perfect for our extended family, plenty of room to spread out on decks, inside, at the pool, at the beach. We’ve rented it for two weeks every year for ten years, watched our grandkids grow up here (they’re all teenagers now but still call it “our” beach house!). Looking forward to next year!

I found this house through a friend. She knows the owner. Loved being right in Duck. Plenty of space and parking for everyone in our group. Pet friendly, which was a big plus. All went well until the day after I returned home and was informed I'd be charged for a missing comforter. I had wondered all week why a stray comforter was in the game room on the first floor. I explained this but was told housekeeping would have to check and see if it was still there. Housekeeping "never told me they found it." Owners went to check on their house and found the comforter right away, they told our mutual friend. Happy with all except Beach Realty.

Was a great house. Could use some minor items inside but nothing we couldnt pick up cheap at Walmart. Overall amazing stay. Love the area. Golf cart rental was a must especially with young children.

This was a great size and prime location for two young families from 1 yr old to 9.
Ample space. Clean. Large rooms. Tvs in each room. And the pool was great!!! Fenced in with great space and good size pool.
Only area of Improvement is the internet/WiFi. Slow and old.
But it was a wonderful vacation and we would definitely stay again.

Good location
You can see the ocean from the 3rd floor balcony. You can easily walk to the ocean or into town. The pool and jacuzzi are nice. They don't leave you with any way to clean the sand out of the jacuzzi. There's sand everywhere. You can use the baby pool in the shed to rinse your feet prior to getting in the pool and jacuzzi.

This is the third consecutive summer we have rented Follow the Sun. That should tell you how we like the home and surroundings. We have been coming to the outer Banks every summer for over 30 years. This home is always clean and well maintained. Each summers we see updates. We have already reserved Follow the Sun for same week next year. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Relaxing and chill! The house was perfect! Only thing, and not the houses fault is the Midge bugs. Everywhere at night. The house and location is a great deal!

This house is beautiful. The kitchen has just about everything you may need. We rented bikes for the short ride to the beach. If this house is available, do not pass it up!
