Cozy Coles Pond Cottage
Tre camere da letto, 6+ posti letto (+ divano letto e futon), terrazza proprio sul laghetto, viste incredibili e relax; guarda i lunatici e le anatre che nuotano e pescano dal molo o usano la barca o il kayak. Giubbotti di salvataggio disponibili in garage, barche a meno di 30 mph OK. Bagno completo / cucina / sala da pranzo / soggiorno / cucina a gas / microonde / lavastoviglie. Acqua OK per docce e lavastoviglie, ma * porta la tua acqua potabile *. Porta le tue lenzuola e asciugamani. Internet (DSL) disponibile più TV, con lettore Blueray. Mostra alcuni dei tuoi film preferiti da guardare per quei giorni di pioggia. Nelle vicinanze nascosto 2 mi. fare un'escursione attraverso boschi fino alla vecchia cascata e piscina del mulino; Lago Caspio 9 mi. via w. spiaggia pubblica e Willey's Store, un vero General Store. Portare provviste, ma negozio di alimentari (Top) disponibile a Hardwick, 9 mi. via, o Marty's Quik Stop, Danville, sulla Vt. Rte. 15 proveniente dalla I-91. The house was perfect for us and it was exactly what we needed. A quiet week full of fishing and watching the loons! We will be back💗

This camp is honestly a house not a camp like your roughing it. The porch was absolutely amazing, my mom enjoyed sitting out there and could still see my nieces down in the water. The water was clear and pretty warm. Kayaking and floating on a tube was perfect. The only thing that was an issue was the bed on the main floor, it was very comfortable but it was really high with a thick mattress topper so my mom couldn’t use it so she slept in one of the recliners. She was completely ok with it, even said she wanted a recliner like that for home. Thank you for the stay it was definitely a nice peaceful place to relax.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped. We chose this place for kayaking and canoeing on the pond and for stargazing (Walden is one the darkest places, free of light pollution, in the US, see international dark sky map if you wish to confirm!) Highly recommend.

We loved Coles Pond! So tranquil so quiet. Thankfully no fast boats or jet skis here! House was comfortable. Owners were gracious and communicative. Would definitely return again!

We loved: being next to Cole's Pond; the canoe, the directions to get there (lots of dirt/gravel roads), the beautiful fall colors, tge alpaca lady/neighbors, the mountain top cafe/goat lady, the firepit and BBQ grill, tge local maple syrup, the local corn maze,
Concerns: home was not clean (we thoroughly cleaned coffee pot, some dishes) as the windows were extremely dirty and there was fur left around. Upstairs had spider webs and the bed was box springs/mattress on the floor (no bed frame), kitchen was sparsely supplied and every time we used oven the smoke alarm went off (not our fault, nothing burning). We finally figured out how to watch our DVDs but no volume control on any remote worked. No voice cell service (we have Verizon), but texts came through and internet worked most of the time.
Despite these few issues, We did enjoy our stay and would love to return. We do recommend the cabin. It does have close by neighbors on both sides as another review mentioned but they are hidden by the trees. Thanks for letting us stay!

Overall experience was great. Very friendly owner who responded quickly and to the point on all of our questions and requests. On-line description does not give you impression that you'll have neighbors on both sides of the property in very close proximity. We were lucky, though, and there were no actual people in both properties next to the house during our stay.

July Stay
My family stayed here the 2nd week of July. I was excited there was a kayak so I didn't have to drive mine 5 hours up to VT. However, there was no paddle. I had to research a place and drive another 45 minutes to buy a kayak paddle. That would have been helpful information. The kitchen faucet let go 2 days after our arrival but the hosts were extremely responsive and had a plumber there within 3-4 hours so we were appreciative of their attentiveness. If you're looking for seclusion, this is the place.

There was plenty of room, check in was easy, we enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing at the lake. This is a perfect spot if you just want to get away and have some downtime. This cabin is quite remote, but we did discover a mountaintop farm/home bakery about a mile walk away. Would highly recommend this cabin!

Very lovely
We could not get the TV to work at all, we were ok but someone else might not be, maybe the batteries in the remotes need to be replaced. The smoke detectors were chirping when we got there so we bought 9 volt batteries and replaced them. When my grandaughter stripped the bed she grabbed the pillow topper too, sorry about that. I washed it and will mail it back to you, what address do I send it to?

The cabin reminded me of summering in Maine when I was a kid. We were looking for a getaway with very little personal interaction given the state of the country right now. This was it! The cabin was simple but had enough to make the trip great. The pond was very nice. Water temp was perfect. We lost power due to a tropical storm midweek, but it came back on by morning. If you want to get away, this is it! My brother was so jealous of the pictures he will probably be there next year with his family! Thanks for having us!

The cabin was simple but had enough to make the trip great. The pond was very nice. Water temp was perfect. We lost power due to a tropical storm midweek, but it came back on by morning. If you want to get away, this is it! My brother was so jealous of the pictures he will probably be there next year with his family! Thanks for having us!

The location is quiet and remote, but only 15 minutes from Greensboro and Greensboro Bend where you can get most of what you need. I recommend getting a Vermont road atlas - lots of nice dirt roads to explore in the summertime.

House was perfectly located for a relaxed vacation kids had fun with pond right there an plenty of fishing deck was great only thing is the road getting there you should come in from Greensboro Bend off Rt 16

A lovely location
We have stayed at the Lake House two years in a row and we love it. It is off the beaten path, right on the water and has everything we are looking for. We spend the majority of our time on the water or on the deck. If you are looking for fancy with lots of activities this is not the place for you. If you want a place to kick back, make delicious food on the grill and spend time with friends and family you are in luck!

Recommendations: Bring a mattress cover -the mattresses have stains, are in terrible shape and are uncomfortable. Dishwasher did not function entire time. Boat stalled in middle of pond several times. Arrived at house and found garbage around property and corn husks tossed over deck into pond and bushes - owners sent someone over to clean up mess.
Like I said, these owners responded very well and showed genuine concern - however, we left early as we felt the house was not clean. They seem new at renting and will learn the business. Perhaps your stay will be better than ours. I left a 3 star rating as the location is one that is very special, out there on Cole's Pond.
