La nostra famiglia è originaria delle Black Hills, quindi questa zona è sempre stata una seconda casa per noi. The cabin was everything we had hoped for. It was conveniently close to Terry Peak, yet we felt secluded and like we were in the forest. It was so clean, and perfectly matched the online description. Amanda was amazingly flexible with us as we encountered some winter weather. The kids are already begging me to book it again. We skied all day and then hit the town at night for a different dinner destination every night. We knocked off the mountain early on Friday and made the drive to Mount Rushmore and we were all happy we decided to do that. We fell in love with the area and can't wait to come back.

Perfect location for visiting Spearfish Canyon! The cabin is set back and surrounded by beautiful trees. Wish we had more time to enjoy the deck.

The check in process was quick and easy. Cabin was spacious and clean. The driveway was on an incline but fit two vehicles. We Saw wildlife daily. We enjoyed the cooler weather and sat out on the deck and used the fire pit. Kitchen was small (or we had to many cooks in the kitchen!) but well appointed. House rules were easy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend .

A great place to stay! We had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful and equipped with everything you need while away. The location is quiet and secluded yet close enough to all of the hot spots for entertainment. Amanda is easy to get a hold of if you need her and the gift basket was a special touch. We hope to stay again soon, thanks again!

We were only there for a long weekend but throughly enjoyed the stay. Home was clean, well stocked with essentials and tucked away in a quieter spot in the woods. Just that we were looking for. Thanks!

Amanda's cabin was perfect for our family vacation. The location was great for the activities we planned to do. The cabin was clean and had many extra amenities. We loved our nightly fire with the fire pit on the deck. We all loved the cabin. Thanks for providing a wonderful cabin this truly was one of the best family vacations we have ever had.

The night before our stay we found out that a relative that we had visited previously tested positive for COVID. We wanted to be prudent and responsible people so we decided not to stay in the cabin and return to our home near Seattle. We did not want to risk spreading the disease within the cabin and the surrounding areas. We requested a refund but we’re denied. We requested the cleaning and pet fee be refunded but we were (again) denied. The owners said the lady who cleans the place requires the money no matter if she works or not. What kind of business do you guys run? No concern for human life and greed is your number one goal. I know several people in South Dakota and I am on many social media accounts and I will do everything I can to let people know not to stay in that cabin or use VRBO.

We enjoyed our stay. This is a perfect set up for teenagers having their space downstairs. We really enjoyed the wildlife from the deck. Very clean property. We would stay again.

My friend and I had an author signing close by and decided to take our husbands and her daughter with us.
The layout of the home with one bed/bathroom upstairs and two bedrooms/one bathroom downstairs was perfect. Everything was clean and in great working condition. Nice neighborhood.

We have stayed at this cabin twice now. It is the best stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in. The beds are all super comfy. The location is great. If you are visiting the area I would highly recommended this cabin.

Staircase was tricky for dogs and some dishes needed a re-wash. Location and fact that dogs were allowed weighed in over any of that! Convenient to grab lunch or leave the kid for the morning and get him when he was ready. Not far from Lead for groceries and things or from Deadwood to spend a day. Will look to come back sometime!

The property was just as described and lovely for our Christmas vacation. Was happy to see a tree and nice holiday decorations to feel like home. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking, beds were comfortable and plenty of room for our teens to have their own space. Amanda was very communicative and easy to contact and to work with. Definitely recommend for families! Would love to visit in summer as well as winter again.

Second time staying for our Fall trip to the Hills. Had an awesome time visiting Deadwood, doing a paranormal investigation at the Adams House and just relaxing at the cabin. Great place, great price!! Def will be back again!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gold Claim Lodge. It is a gorgeous cabin and was well stocked. My kids loved the lower level that was filled with games galore. The hosts were easy to work with and I really appreciated the information they left for our stay. It was a great place to stay!

The property speaks well of the "hills" of the Black Hills. We were just a block from Terry Peak Ski Resort, in an area of splendid scenery and lovely homes. We really had a marvelous stay at the house, with weather that was un-customarily warm for this time of year. We recommend the home to anyone who wants to be away from it all.

our groups age range was 67 to 77. so, the spiral staircase was challenging and no way we could use the loft because of the ladder access. Furniture pretty saggy upstairs -- beds were great. Good location --- all- in all we had a good time

This was somewhat secluded as shown, one of the reasons we picked it. You can nick pick anything so I won't. Overall very pleased with our time there and the communication with the manager.

Nice cabin. Quiet area! Comfortable accommodations. Only negative was the spiral staircase. There was no picture of it on the website. I had a friend with that had a broken foot and a mom with a bad hip. They had to go outside and down to get to the basement.

Great place for a small family gathering. Beautiful covered porch, fire pit, views of wild animals. Had everything necessary for a great visit.

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! It is so charming and in a beautiful area. The views from the windows and the porch were awesome. The kitchen is equipped with literally everything you could need, the grill is great, and there was plenty of room to store groceries (a big thing for us since we don’t eat out much and love to cook). And the loft upstairs was such a nice bonus—our two youngest kids ended up sleeping up there, which gave our family of six tons of room to spread out! Finally, Amanda is such a nice, friendly, helpful person which makes the whole process even better. Great vacation—we could’ve happily spent another week!!

We had a family meet up from 3 states for a gravel race in Spearfish and this home was just perfect! Beautiful views and the porch and fire pit deck were fabulous! So relaxing with just the right spaces and amenities! Owners were super responsive and we would definitely stay here again!

She was very instrumental in helping our family create an itinerary for our four day visit. We are a family of four and traveled to the area to enjoy Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park, and the Badlands National Park. On our way home, my wife said she was very happy with the cabin and both my kids said the highlight of the vacation was horseback riding at Andy's Trail Rides. Great getaway
The cabin worked great for our family. Can't believe the room and how well stocked the kitchen was. The decked wrapped around 3 sides of the cabin making you feel out in the woods away from every thing. We really enjoyed the gas fire table and chairs. We'll definitely stay again!!

The spiral staircase was terrible. if it had been shown in the pictures, we probably would not of stayed there. With the average age being 70 for the group who were starting to have mobility issues it wasn't very accommodating. the place was aslo dusty in areas and had not been cleaned under the lower couch in a long time. There is also a nail protruding on the bck of the upper level couch

All my family and I can say is absolutely beautiful cabin and amazing sceneries this was our 4th time to the cabin and my family’s 2nd Easter there. This year had a lot more snow than last. Made it more fun.
