Loved the quirkiness of the property and especially the social breakfasts at huge farmhouse tables, chatting with other guests. The service at breakfast was impeccable. a magical place to stay and will recommend it to all and sundry.
We struggled with the shower on the first morning, resulting in a flooded floor (which we did mop up) but this was much easier on day two with the previous day's experience. tips on shower usage in a confined space would help.
Sadly, we did have one criticism - the mattress in our room (The Round House) had I think seen better days. It sagged in the middle and had lost any support at the bottom edge. a replacement would be welcome but it still didn't detract from a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you very much!

The location was great for Alnwick/Bamburgh.
Good breakfast!
It was a very small room for the 5 of us, in a loft.

Quirky, very welcoming and pleasant staff. A different stay from what we normally used to.

Super cute and cosy farmhouse. Each room done with thought and offers everything you could need. Bed was comfy and rooms have a kettle, TV etc
Breakfast was great with gluten free options available and was set in another lovely room with rustic furniture.
Rooms are a little dark but it is an old farmhouse so you would expect this and it was no real issue for a short stay. The decor might not be for everyone but we liked it.

The breakfast was good and the best bit was the roaring fire where you could sit in the lounge with other guests
You have to be careful when finding the turning in the dark too the place

Lovely breakfast and sitting at a large table with other people a good idea and very interesting to see where other people came from and where they were travelling to.

A very nice place to stay. We would definitely return. Friendly welcome. Quiet and calm. Very clean. Good parking facilities. Beautiful garden.
Everything was good!

Having been before we knew it was well located and had everything we needed in unique accommodation.
There really wasn’t anything we disliked. Just one thing I could comment on was the breakfast - although extremely tasty it seemed to be a lot smaller than the average hotel breakfast. Not too much selection of fruit to start and only orange juice. Butter was minimal and you felt as though you really shouldn’t be using it .

Loved the quirckyness, style and comfort of the rooms and guest lounge. Enjoyed that guests joined each other for breakfast on large tables. Ample and yummy breakfast.
Turning right out of the property to cross the very busy duel carrige way and joining the traffic on the road to Alnwick - traffic going 60+ mph. Me, a standing start in the middle of the carrigeways.
A large pampas crass also obscures the view of traffic coming over a rise in the road. Best going with the flow of the traffic travelling left and finding a safer place to cross the duel carrigeway.

Quirky! And our room was really quiet considering how close to the A1 we were
A slightly longer breakfast service would be good. Other than that it was all good

Omg... You must stay here if your into Harry Potter. This place is quirky, out of this world. Mysterious, authentic, historical, dreamy. It felt like we stayed in Ron Weasley's home !!! The owners are just as Quirky. Great family. Everywhere we looked we found something strange. Who has a Chair on their roof? Traditional Gypsy Trailers to view. Breakfast was nice and they have a beautiful little gift shop. The beds are amazing .... Bring your kids !! 2miles away from the Castle and the the Old Town ...A MUST TO STAY AND APPRECIATE THUS SPECTACULAR LODGE ✨️
No biscuits on Tea tray on arrival. We stayed in The Granary... Watch your head

Very individual, lots to see and admire. Beautiful garden, great discovery and excellent value
Quite tricky getting up to our room with luggage

Breakfast was well cooked and reasonable selection. Was not aware that the lodge was literally at the edge of the A1 and therefore was noisy at times.. Owner was happy for us to use facilities and bring in own food as evening meal was not available at the lodge.
Breakfast was cooked well but there was not enough staff for the number of guests. Had to keep asking for more of everything .. milk, bread, butter

A lovely quirky period property lovingly refurbished by the owners . Each room decorated individually using antique furniture. Most rooms situated in a courtyard with a lovely cottage garden . Hens and sheep in the field surrounded by countryside. In the grounds individual styled lodges and caravans for guests to stay in. Lovely .
There isn’t anything I didn’t like !! How could you ?

The place is so quirky and unique. The gardens are amazing with all the shrubbery and flowers, not to mention the sound of the birds. So sweet. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lush.
The location wasn't perfect. We took our dog and there weren't any places to take him locally with it being located just off A1. This is the only downfall of this place. Everything else was fabulous!

the area is so pretty and i love the history of the place you get to read in the welcome book. i love the personality in each of the rooms and the care and attention taken to make sure you're comfortable. the breakfast was amazing and so was the lounge area where we could sit and chat in the evening by a real fireplace. it was lovely and welcoming. the beds were comfortable and clean, and the bathroom had everything we needed.
the hairdryer was quite ancient and dusty, and the cups in our room needed to be cleaned before we used them. there was also some dust on the tables that we had to wipe away... but these are all small problems that we could easily overlook as the rest of the stay was amazing.

Location
Room location next to general sitting room. Pipework banging in night, leak in ceiling dripping in condiment tray and light in bathroom and fan came on and wouldn’t turn off in early hours of morning. Smell of log fire in room.

An amazing family run business where guests are welcomed on a one to one basis and made to really feel at home.
Lovely setting with some fantastic features, don't think I actually expected it to be this good.
Breakfast was top quality and loved the seating arrangement where you sat with other guests for breakfast at the same table, made for an entertaining experience.
I have nothing detrimental to advise upon.

Great location for what we needed, which was central to all areas of Northumberland. Friendly and cosy accommodation. Breakfasts were lovely and cooked to order.
Access on and off the dual carriageway. Easy to miss the turning if you rely on 2nd road sign.

Great location for getting about.
Bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Perfect location to my work. Wasn't able to sample breakfast as I left before it was served.
Poor WI-FI but understandable due to area.
