It was great!

The house was easy to find! Convenient to stores and to the downtown area. We brought our boat, boat launch close and easy to use. Enjoyed taking the boat through the chain of lakes. The house was good for our family. The garage is a bonus . We ate all of our meals there and was a perfect place to hang out away from the bugs and while it was raining!

We had a really nice stay the precious year and found the cottage to have some improvements this year. This is not brand new luxury but it’s comfortable and clean in a great location. We had a 21 foot deep V boat tied to the dock, brought our kayaks, and had fun playing and eating on the chain. The kids also walked to the swimming area just a short distance away and had fun fishing in both areas. We walked to town most days as well as it’s a great location for families. We had a July stay both years and you will enjoy the does with their fawns walking closely around the yard. The screened in garage area is really nice to hang out and relax or play some games. The owner was really easy to work with both years and you can tell she cares about you and your stay. Thanks!!

Fall fishing getaway for hubby and I. This cabin is set up for family fun. Very attentive owners. Enjoyed our stay.

Group of friends stayed a long weekend to ride atvs and this house fit us perfectly. Owners were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay with any questions we had. Garage with the netting was great for the nights we got back to the house to hang out. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to come up to the eagle river area!

The 7 of us stayed (2 adults and 10, 10, 13, 14,14 for kids). This isn’t “new resort” accommodations. It’s an aged cottage with aged furniture and appliances. That means not everything will be perfect. So if that isn’t ok with your group don’t stay here. It was very clean and we found it to be extremely comfortable. We enjoyed playing games and watching the deer from the screened in garage when it rained. We grilled out, played basketball, and had a great time. It’s not sandy beach swimming but our kids (and ourselves too) walked to a swimming area just a short distance away; an easy, short walk. The cottage is also close to the boat landing and we enjoyed walking into town to eat and shop. We had 2 fawns hanging around and many other deer as well. The kids caught a ton of fish from the dock and all over the bay and the boys and I went out and had success on walleyes and had a nice musky up to the boat. The bay is great for the kids to kayak and I let ours that have boaters safety run a little tiller around the bay too because traffic is light. You have access to the entire chain of beautiful lakes and rivers and are down a road that is very quiet with only one other place at the end. The owner was quick to respond and always super friendly making us all feel comfortable and able to relax. We didn’t need it but there is an air conditioner now that would easily make sleeping comfortable on hot, humid days. It’s such a great value I’d recommend it to anyone who appreciates relaxing and having fun with family!

Booked 9 months ago for 6 adults- 48-60 year olds. Yearly trip. Cottage was as presented. Well stocked kitchen & had toilet paper/ paper towels, bath towels. Nice party garage- with lights free from Bugs. I noticed a comment about wet rug in previous post- really not an issue - was wet when we came- due to rain- but give them a break- they r adding a garage and fixing house roof with it! Didn’t stop our fun!! Would rent again. Only downfall is no fire pit- which we bought one to use ourselves.

the screened in garage was great, bedroom location and full bath was in an interesting area. Transition from garage to house carpet is wet.

We booked a trip to Eagle River last minute for a end of summer vaca before my wife went back to school. We had a blast! Rented a boat and did a lot of water activities. No AC in the house which worked fine for us in late August, just beautiful weather. The property is in an amazing spot, tucked back out of town, very quiet and far enough off the main channels. Not a great beach area, but really no one in the area had their own private beach area that was great. Overall we had a great time here! Would recommend checking it out.

The owners were very friendly, responsive when contacted, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We will be back!!

This was the 5th year our group stayed at the house. The house is always clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would ask.

Great place! Owner was quick to respond to our questions during our stay. Weather was spectacular 80's and sunny. Deer visited every morning and afternoon. Lots to do! Great location, short walk or run to downtown Eagle River. The home is in a bay (Bull Pen) not much boat traffic. Great for kids. We rented kayaks and a pontoon boat. Highly recommend! We will be back next year.

The house was clean and roomy. 3 bedrooms upstairs and a large living space downstairs easily accommodated our group of 8. The location is awesome - we walked to Silver Lake Beach and we enjoyed renting a boat and cruising the chain! This property shares a driveway with the house next-door and that's why you see a road in front of the dock in one of the photos. It's very private, though. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't have A/C, which was known to use beforehand, but when it is hot and humid it is very uncomfortable. Lucky for us the weather cooled down for most of our stay.

The house is located on the beautiful chain of lakes, which we loved. It had several things we encountered that made it a disappointing stay including - enormous amounts of goose poop which we spent all morning picking up just so we could have a picnic outside. The lake side was loaded with it, making it impossible to walk barefoot and even difficult in flip flops. The home was not adequately vacuumed and there were centipede and other bug carcasses, and crumbs and food remnants all over, the home smelled musty and it lacked air conditioning which made it miserable since all the bedrooms are on the upper level and it was sweltering. The refrigerator lacked adequate seal so we ended up throwing out $32 worth of hamburgers and a $25 fruit tray on the day of our family barbeque before our guests arrived - which was kind of a panic as it had all spoiled. Nothing stayed cold in the fridge so we invested a lot of money in constantly buying ice for our coolers for 4 days. That being said, the screened in garage was nice as it rained one day, and the owner did refund my cleaning fee and deposit. She also instructed us where to find a window air conditioning unit, but that really did not do enough good to cool off the home. She did offer to refund nights stays if we left early, however we had family that had taken time off and we drove 300 miles from Minnesota so that was not a good option. I was disappointed however that she did say via phone when I called her during the fiascos, that she would consider a discount for our troubles and then never replied to the two emails I sent her inquiring about it afterwards. It would have been nice to at least get reimbursed for the spoiled food. While I am sure the owner is a nice person, I would recommend finding a nicer spot than this for your stay, considering the price.

The home is on the older side but is always clean (We have stayed here 4 years in a row). The landlord is always easy to deal with and always attentive to any issues. I would recommend this property to anyone who needs a place to stay in the area.

We stayed at this property for a long fishing weekend. This is the second time we stayed here, and plan to return again. We found the property very comfortable with a nice north-woods feeling. The owners are very cooperative and friendly. Our deposit was returned in whole very promptly. We would recommend this property for fishing vacations.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is clean and comfy. We had a lot of rain so we couldn't enjoy the outdoors this year, but the interior kept us busy. We loved the garage hang out space, we were able to have a nice family get together and we had plenty of space. Thank you again!

The house is located in a bay (Bull Pen) on Yellow Birch Lake. The bay is great for fishing. We caught bass, bluegills, and perch right from the pier. We also rented kayaks and paddle boards from Wildwood Outdoor Adventures. The bay protected us from the boat traffic and our kids loved it. I highly recommend this property.

We had a fantastic vacation at the cottage with our 2 adult children. The cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable for the 4 of us and it had everything we needed. With the cottage being located in the back of the bay, there wasn't a lot of pleasure craft traffic right in front of us which was nice, made it a little quieter. Twin fawns and their mother, as well as other deer visited us daily, which my wife really enjoyed, and looked forward to the visits. We also saw eagles and loons every day, and even had a turtle cross the road by the stream that's adjacent to the property. The fishing was good, but not great, which was probably due to all of the rain so far this year. My son caught 2 really nice small mouths (19" 3.5 lb and 18" 2.75 lb) off the north most peninsula on the east side of the lake and a northern right off of the dock at the cottage. We also caught a bunch of perch and bluegill, but most were to small to keep. Sue was great to deal with, and always responded to emails or texts in a timely manner. We would definitely stay again! To start with Sue was great to work with and was quick to respond to questions. The property couldn't have provided us with a better experience then was had. Everything necessary for a week stay on the lake was on site. Our kids had a blast fishing and boating on the Eagle River chain. We will definitely look to book this property again for future stays..

This was our fist stay in Eagle River. What a beautiful city. This property is conveniently located to everything. You can walk to the beach or downtown. House was very clean. The owners were great and able to accommodate us at short notice. I would definitely stay here agian.

Perfectly located house, less than 5 minutes to dt Eagle River, on a quiet dead-end street with lake access. House itself is very spacious and clean with a nice screened in garage to enjoy the evenings. Homeowners were very accommodating and maintained great communication, would definitely stay again!

We had a very nice time. We were able to enjoy the lakes daily and they were gracious enough to let us rent the pontoon a day extra so my elderly mother could enjoy the lakes with us. The area was very quiet and the cottage was clean and met all our needs.

I was raised in the Eagle River area and we visit regularly so we have had the opportunity to stay at many different places over the the last 25 years. I am happy to say that from a value stand point this was one of the best. The cabin is clean, well kept and offers about everything you really need for the traditional north woods experience. The living room and kitchen are large and comfortable but we really liked the screened in garage area which is great for early morning coffee, reading a book, or a game of cards. There is also a nice fire pit area but you will need to find/bring your own wood. We also enjoyed the basketball hoop and the nice paved driveway. It would be nice to have wi-fi and satelite available. Even though the cabin is very close to the T-docks boat ramp is is surprisingly quite and secluded tucked in the bay out of the main channel. It offers great access to both the chain and town. The only drawback this is the weeds in this area of the lake. They are very thick, even making it difficult to fish from the dock and it would not be an area you would want to swim. For those looking to swim, Silver Lake public beach is a short walk or better yet head to the beach at Eagle Lake Park just down the chain. Great sandy area to pull your boats into also. The cabin has abundant wildlife with deer traveling through daily, loons, ducks, and an eagle nest located on the point of the bay. Bring your camera. The shore area worked great for allowing us to beach our jet skis and not have to worry about having them get banged up on the dock or daily pulled out of the water. We did take advantage of the available pontoon which was very nice and also in very good condition. There is also enough room to bring your own boat if you wish. The owners impressed me as good honest people, there were no surprises and we will likely stay again.

The renters are so nice and accommodating! This rental was very spacious for our family stay with great beds (very comfortable). It was clean and we loved the screened in garage. There is also a spacious green area in front of the property for games. Everything was great, but we wish there wasn't tons of weeds along the water so we could swim. The public swimming was within walking distance though! Great place for a getaway!
