This stay was amazing - the perfect size of unit, in a phenomenally well-maintained property that never felt stuffy, and absolute stellar customer support from the owner. The kitchen was great for quick meals and the cross breeze and lighting of this end unit ensured comfort all day & night. We talked to other folks in other units on the property and this was was clearly the better stay! Lots of toys & supplies to take your family on the road to the beach - Hanalei is only about 10-15 minutes away, and the grocery store is 5 minutes away. We WILL stay here next time we come to Kaua'i!

This is definitely not an updated property but we were okay with that. It was clean and had a cool layout. Patios off both the bedroom and the living room area. The one off the living room has a really nice natural botanical barrier to provide privacy. The bonus....there was body boards, chairs, snorkeling stuff provided for guests. We didn't use the snorkels because its hard to know who is responsible to clean them and I wasn't sure what was okay to clean them with, so it was worth it to just rent some. You have to borrow bikes and go down to hidaway beach! Great place.

Cute condo perfect for our trip

Owner charged me an extra $1400 to stay. Parking fee was an extra $15 a day, no disclosed by the owner. Interior is dated. Furniture and decor from 1960's. Needs paint and repairs. Appliances were old and rusty. Compared to other units, this place is a "ripoff". Sorry, but the truth needs to be told!

The condo has everything that we needed. The pull out couch was comfy for two teens (twins). We struggled with having enough hot water for showers, but learned to space them out.

Beautiful location away from touristy areas. Many beaches close by. Swam with tutles at Anini Beach. Driving to Waimea Canyon and hiking is an entire day though. Saw whales in the distance while sitting in chairs on the cliff on the property. Happy hour Monday was widely attended. The condo itself could use some updates but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

This spacious and well-equipped condo is at a great resort with a perfect location for our adult family. When we weren't beaching at Hanalei Bay we were walking the beautiful grounds, riding bikes, playing pickleball, reading at the ocean edge or sunning by the pool. The condo interior may be a little worn for some but was clean and functional and perfect for a beach vacation. Great value here, really nice staff at the Cliffs, very helpful owner, easy check in and out... we loved it!

Loved the property & amenities were amazing

This property was amazing. Jim the host was very helpful and we had a very relaxing holiday over Christmas. The facilities at the Cliffs are excellent, the location is perfect to enjoy the local area and activities and it is a great base to explore Kauai from. This was a memorable trip and we would highly recommend Jim's property. It was excellent!

Great north island location. Unit is very large and bright. While clean definitely needs a top to bottom renovation to keep pace with the price point of the unit. Minor item, not an issue to have too many plates and bowls and glass oven dishes, but the kitchen could use some declutter to reduce number of each item to make it a sharp crisp kitchen. Look forward to seeing results of pending reno.

This condo was not in a rentable condition, and the posting was false advertising. Upon arrival in the evening we could not gain entry through the keypad lock because the battery needed replacement. Cliffs security was able to gain entry to let us in. There was no WiFi information in the room. Cliffs maintenance came to replace the keypad battery and set up WiFi in the morning. The condo information binder was missing its cover, was ratty and contained outdated info. The carpeting and living room rug were dirty and stained. The faux wood flooring was delaminating and coming up, the result of a water heater link some time ago. The most severely damaged area was covered by two runner rugs. The area was spongy to walk on and a tripping hazard. The drapes over one of the sliders were sagging. There was no DVD player in the living room, the batteries for the remotes for TV and DVD in the bedroom were expended. Only one spare AAA. The lighting was dim. Lamps had 3-way sockets but single wattage bulbs. A paper taped to the wall asked guests to excuse the mess as renovations were planned. Not mentioned in VRBO post. Good points: all appliances worked, fridge, full stove and microwave were recent, kitchen counter also good and recent. Cliffs staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Good location. Had a great time

We enjoyed our stay here, and the location was good for exploring the Hanalei Bay and norther Kauai areas. None of the units in this subdivision have AC and cross ventilation can be a challenge because the unit is on the first floor - which means that windows cannot be left open all the time. There is a box fan in the unit, and it helps at night. The unit itself is well appointed by rather aged. It needs many upgrades, which the owners claim are coming. For a basic stay in Princeville, this unit is a good value. The community has nice amenities (pool, tennis, basketball courts etc.) and was family friendly (we were not with our kids, but we saw many). There were also rental Teslas at the main office and sports equipment to borrow.

This place is just perfect ! Ground corner unit was very quiet and I never missed air conditioning , the wind flows thru the unit well. They provided everything we could possibly need . It was a lovely place and I would stay here again!

This is my 6th stay here. Love this property and i am looking forward to seeing all the updates when i come back in 2025

This place was perfect for my mother with her knee replacement. On the end of the building and the first floor, the lanai was the perfect spot for sunrises, sunsets, wildlife watching, morning coffee, and evening drinks. It is an easy and quick trip to the shopping center for groceries, sandwiches, ice cream, and souvenirs. Jim’s place is CLEAN. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The location is great for a peaceful getaway. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Older unit needed some minor touch ups but overall a good place to stay if you love the Hanalei area. Close to shops, restaurants and beaches. Jim was a good host and contacted us about the oven and changes to parking rules.

Owner is very nice! Everything you need is here! We had a great time! Will stay here again in October :)

We stayed for 11 nights Property, grounds, amenities are all as listed We had 1 appliance issue during our stay, which Jim addressed right away The closet in condo had all things we needed for the beach The 2 fans provided kept us cool for sleeping Having laundry in the condo with 2 littles was helpful! Cliffs is a great location, our family had a wonderful time Kauai is breathtaking a great fit for young families :)

Got in at 11:00 PM. Office wasn't informed that we had to turn deadbolt after combination was entered or that we could call security. We thought we would have to sleep in our car but finally figured out how to get in at midnight. Frustrating!!

Our stay here was nice. The location is good for north shore activities. The property has beautiful cliff views of the ocean and mountains. The interior of the property is dated and worn, but was mostly clean and had lots of beach going and hiking items that were useful. No air-conditioning was a bit of an adjustment for us, but the fans really help keep it cool at night while sleeping. We would stay here again as we got a good price and were there more for the island experience than the home we stayed in.

We were so happy to find an affordable stay in Kauai! Our family of 5 was very comfortable. This place had everything we needed. The kids used snorkels, boogie boards, etc. the area is very nice and safe. The kids loved the pool at the complex. Nice farmers and art markets around the corner. We loved staying on this side of the island. Everything was perfect. We’d definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at this condo. The grounds are well maintained, the pools and hot tubs are very nice, and we appreciated having the amenities of home while on vacation. (Dishwasher, washer & dryer, full size fridge & freezer, etc.) We would love to return and stay here again! Mahalo!

This was our second time staying here, and it was great. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful. The unit and amenities are great.

Loved the North Shore location. Condo was a great size with lots of windows and sliding doors to let sunlight in. No AC but with sliding doors open, great Hawaiian breeze blowing through!

This was our tenth visit to the island of Kauai. Jim's condo has never failed us. The location is perfect, it is much larger than most of the rental condos and everything you need for either a short stay or an extended stay is supplied to you. We decided to stay for a full month in Kauai this trip. It was so nice to wake up and have coffee and breakfast on the patio. Every day we went to the different beautiful places on the island knowing the fact that we would be returning to a very clean condo. Several evenings we would walk out back on the grassy knoll and watch the set into the ocean. We are looking forward to out eleventh trip to Kauai and again plan to stay at Jim's condo at The Cliffs.

Enjoyed our stay. Location of condo was nice and quiet. Unit was on end. Liked amenities (pool, gym and hot tubs). Place had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Priced affordably. Would stay again! Host was good to work with.

We had a great stay. Great location inside of Princeville, not too far away from Princeville main area - about 3-4 miles. Loved using the pool area for our daughter and had a fun little playground. The whole complex is really nice and the unit had everything we need including snorkel gear, chairs, and beach toys. We would love to stay here again, thank you!

Very nice accommodation in a super nice resort setting. Lots of options for things to do nearby, and the pool/tennis courts/shuffleboard area was lots of fun as well.

Our stay was amazing and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The place was clean and spacious for my husband and my two boys. This corner spot of The Cliffs was great, as there are two patios and some yard to let the kids enjoy and play before the beach or pool time. Would absolutely come again to this exact spot. 🤙🏼🙌
