The cabin was the perfect location for us to base my families adventures for on our last vacation. Ann's recommendations came in handy, helping us make great family memories.

The Cranberry Cottage was wonderful. My parnter and our 4 year old child loved our stay. Great location to many fun adventures around the Bar Harbor area, but also perfectly tucked away in its own little neck of the woods. The home was very welcoming and had everything we needed to enjoy our family getaway.

Our family had a short 3 day stay and had everything we needed in the very clean cottage! The host provided fantastic local information. Our kids enjoyed the flat yard area, playing some soccer while the adults enjoyed the firepit. The location was peaceful, and our kids had a great time searching through the tide pools on the rocky beach.

Sooo comfortable. Convenient and quiet. Everything we could have hoped for and more.

We enjoyed our stay….Southwest Harbor is much less crowded than the Bar Harbor area. Hiking suggestions were handy (we loved hiking around Jordan Pond…easier for us old folks and beautiful after the rain). Too bad the road was closed at the end of Seawall Road…we got to some trails by backtracking to 102. Loved Cranberry Cottage…lots of deer around the property, so you need to be careful driving! We would highly recommend a stay!

The cottage was a quiet getaway from the city. The check-in and checkout process was conveniently simple.

Overall I great property that is super close to many different hikes around Acadia. So many deer right outside your window that are lovely to watch.

This property suited our family very well for our 3 night stay. My toddler had lots of room to roam and loved watching the deer every morning. Appreciated the close proximity to charlottes lobster pound. Laundry on site was also helpful. Loved the skylights in the bedroom, great natural light and the ability to close the blinds electronically to create a nice dark sleep environment for our toddler.

We loved our stay! The cabin was so clean and cozy when we arrived, and the area around it is picturesque. We saw deer every morning outside our window. Highly recommend walking down the beach during your stay, it’s a gorgeous view. Over all, a fantastic stay for us as we explored Acadia and Bar Harbor. If you want a nice breakfast, check out Clark’s! It’s just down the road from the house, and the pastries and coffee are excellent.

We had a great stay at Cranberry. The location, amenities, and space were perfect for our anniversary trip at our beloved Maine. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Wonderful property! Clean, quiet, and just what we were looking for.

Very nice place to stay and had a peaceful/quiet setting. Anne, the host, very helpful with information locally and on hikes, which our family really enjoyed. We also really enjoyed finding sand dollars along the coast, only a short walk from the property. We had a wonderful vacation!

This cottage is better than advertised. The host thought of every detail to make it feel like home. Anything and everything you could need or want was provided...from linens and towels to fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer (even had laundry soap to use). The location was close to everything in Acadia park and a short drive to Bar Harbor but it was extra nice to come to Southwest Harbor which was much less crowded. And SW Harbor had fabulous restaurants without the long wait times. This place was a true gem and totally enjoyable.

If your planning a trip to Acadia National Park the Southwest Harbor is where you’ll want to stay on quiet side of the park! We felt like welcome friends here! This cottage was wonderful but be aware the stairs to bedrooms are very steep. Bathroom is small. Kitchen was perfect and laundry excellent, picture windows view the yard with fire pit and adorable family of deer that entertained us every day!

This quaint little cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, not too fancy--perfect for our family trip to Acadia. I loved the detailed notebook with recommendations. You could tell that a lot of time was put into it. Overall the house had everything we needed (except a baking sheet-- we did struggle to make a frozen pizza). One thing I want to point out is that this property is further from Acadia than you think. If you just look at the map, and you don't know the area, it seems really close, but when you actually drive it, it's 40 minutes to get to the key spots in the park. We found ourselves driving way more than we expected. This was not an issue with the property, but just something to be aware of if booking to visit Acadia. This house is in a wonderful woodsy setting. I think it could be improved with better outdoor seating areas. There were a couple of metal chairs outside the door, but it feels a bit like a missed opportunity. We didn't really spend any time outdoors because it felt like there was no where to be. It would be a perfect fit for a hammock or maybe some seating around a firepit. Finally, this house does not have air condititioning. Again, it was in the listing, so not a problem with the house, but we didn't notice before booking, and it was a pretty hot week, so it caught us of guard. We were able to make do with the fans that we in the house, and one bedroom does have a window unit. Just be aware.

This place is bigger than the pictures show. It was great for our family of four. You could put two more people downstairs on the pullout couch but with no window coverings downstairs it would be very bright in the morning. It was so quiet and we loved being away from the crowds and traffic at Bar Harbor. The stairs were a challenge with my bad knees, but I managed.

We often visit seawall every 3 to 4 years. We loved the location of Cranberry cottage and all of the amenities that were provided. Great time!

Cranberry Cottage is just as advertised! Perfect for a family of five, and has exactly what you need. We loved being away from the hustle of Bar Harbor but still a 5-10 minute drive to some favorite hikes, Southwest Harbor, and the Seawall area. And still plenty close to the main park for the big hikes! We walked down to the rocky beach every afternoon, played stick ball in the yard, and watched deer families wander through during breakfast. The best part was perhaps the extensive binder left by Anne with her family’s recommendations, we loved consulting it for new ideas!

Very nice, quiet cottage in Southwest Harbor. Communication with the property owner was excellent and quick with responses. Near the ocean and a few easy hikes in the southwest section of Acadia. Charlotte's Lobster Pound is just around the corner- other lobster locations are a short 5-10 min drive away. We loved the cottage and would stay here again.

This house was the perfect spot for my family of 5. Perfect hikes close by for younger kids with the lighthouse a must see. The lobster pound at the end of the driveway was an awesome addition. My kids loved playing in the yard after a day of adventuring. And we enjoyed listening to the boats in the mornings.

We had a wonderful, relaxing, & peaceful stay. A mother deer with her new fawn just outside the window was sublime. We also really enjoyed the fire ring outside in the evening.

Our family of five felt so lucky that we found this adorable cottage when we were planning our few days up in Acadia. It was the perfect, quiet spot for us. We found the beds comfortable, including the sofa bed. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the washer and dryer were really great to have. We enjoyed the deer that came to visit, and Charlottes Lobster Pound, which truly is at the end of the driveway. We hope to visit again in the future, our stay here was definitely a highlight of our two-week New England adventure.

Loved the quite nature of this side of Mount Desert Island. We used the beach a lot, which is just about a minute walk from the cabin. Cabin was very clean and more spacious than we anticipated. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, the cabin owner provided a lot of valuable information about hiking, eating etc. She had extensive knowledge of the area!

The pictures don’t do this house justice . It’s such a nice place to stay , all the extras included laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. The list of places to eat and hike and see was great ! Your short walk to the beach was beautiful, Thank you so much we had a great vacation. We highly recommend staying with Anne

Check in was easy and overall communication with the host was great, including some wonderful recommendations for hikes, food, and activities in the area. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside, it was clean and has everything you'll need for a great stay (kitchen to cook basic meals, gas grill outside, washer & dryer, etc.). The location is beautiful and quiet and we saw deer and a fox on the lawn in front of the cottage a few times. The beach access is for a typical Maine rocky beach, which is not great for walking but has a beautiful view and is great to look for sea shells etc. Getting to Acadia is a bit of a drive but totally doable.

Our family highly recommends staying at Cranberry Cottage. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 4. The huge windows looked out onto the beautiful surroundings where we saw deer each evening! Though there are other cottages on the lane, it felt extremely private due to the large yard and many trees. The rocky shoreline is just a minute stroll down the lane, and the kids loved climbing on the rocks each evening. Perfect location on the "quiet side" of the island with lots of great food nearby and several great hikes. But also an easy 30 minute drive to the main side of ANP to explore the park. Anne, the host, provided us with amazing suggestions on where to eat and what hikes to do. It was so helpful! We are already thinking about returning to the area for a future trip, and we will certainly stay in this cottage again when we do!

My partner and I are a couple of city mice, and we really loved the tranquility of this cottage for our trip to Acadia. It was so quiet we'd find deer coming right up to the windows in the mornings and evenings. We found the cottage clean and well stocked, and we made good use of the grill.

House was great in a quiet location. Only thing they could do to improve it would be to add curtains downstairs for privacy.
