We had a great stay! The guest home is great and gave us plenty of room the spread out. We loved having use of the lake and the kids play areas on the property. Peggy was wonderfully kind and helpful. We will definitely be staying again!

What a wonderful time we had at this VRBO! It was our own private oasis! The playhouse was a massive hit for our kids (ages 4-11), the outdoor swing was amazing and Peggy even has some awesome girls dress up clothes that our kids had a blast with! For the bigger kids we enjoyed countless rounds of bags on really nice boards and a beautiful bonfire. Peggy even came to our rescue with some BBQ sauce when one of the picky eaters needed a little TLC. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was provided- from body wash, shampoo and lotion, to towels, linens, and everything for the lake. We took some spins in the paddle boats and the kayak, used the numerous life jackets and adored the floaties! We can’t wait to visit again!

Nice house and perfect for little kids. Playhouse was amazing. Lots of toys for the kids at the beach. Great yard and beach area. Peggy was very nice and accommodating.

We had another wonderful stay here! Peggy and her husband are so welcoming and helpful. Wonderful hosts! You’ll have everything you need, plenty of pillows, towels, blankets etc. It was hot but the A/C units kept us cool! Kids had fun fishing, building sand castles, swimming and kayaking. Thank you for having us!

I'm not sure there is a better place to stay with kids. Peggy has so much for the kids to do whether the weather is good or bad. The house was absolutely perfect for our 2 families to stay together, and the day on the lake was a blast. Highly recommended.

We had the best stay! The property and lake are beautiful and most days we had the lake completely to ourselves. Peggy and Rich are so accommodating and want you to feel at home. They are generous with their property use and all the fun things that go with it (kayaks, toys, playhouse, etc). We cannot wait to book another stay!

We stayed here to visit my grandmothers graveside nearby. This is an add on to the garage. Lots of sleeping area. Our only issue was that the bathrooms and bedrooms were all upstairs. The main level is just the dining area, living room and a small kitchen area. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house due to traveling to see places and drive time. It was pretty windy as well while we were there. We enjoyed the coffee nook greatly.

Everything was as we expected. Like a home away from home. We enjoyed the beach and the fire pit, grilling and just hanging out together. Peggy is very kind and helpful. We'll look for another chance to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at Chateau Pelicani. The space was great for our family - plenty of sleeping options, bathroom space, etc. We brought a lot of our own food, so the extra fridge in the garage was appreciated. The kitchen does not have an oven but an electric cooktop and microwave, so we were able to make do with those and the grill. The best part of the stay for our family was the beach space and the shed filled with all kinds of water and sand toys. Our girls spent so much time playing on the beach. They also provided life jackets for the paddle boats/kayak, skewers for roasting over the fire, and pretty much any other amenity one could need. Great family stay; we would definitely stay again.

Fantastic place to kick back and relax from a day of work...
The place was amazing and was a great place to stay. You could relax on the lake or around the lake. If this place is open your search is complete. The host was also very responsive and available to help. you will go home relaxed and refreshed after staying here.

The grandma you never had.
Sited between a hay field and a lake, this bucolic setting is the prefect place to relax. The laid-back hosts are great. They are generous. They have everything for enjoying lake and beach... dock (check), paddle boat (check), loan games (check). It is like visiting grandma. But, she has a lake house and lots more toys.

It was nice property on the lake with a Georgia’s view. Had fun playing the outdoor games, grilling and just overall relaxing time.

Already booked again for next year!
My husband and I rented this place with our 5 kids ranging in age from 5 months to 11 years. Their grandparents joined us. The kids had the time of their lives playing in the lake, in the (two story) playhouse, fishing, learning to kayak and paddle boat, roasting marshmallows and having their pick of bunk beds. Peggy supplies you with anything and everything you might need for your stay, including things you didn’t know you might need and things you maybe forgot! The cabin is right in the lake with its own private beach and dock. We only went into town (very short drive) to pick up some food to cook up on the grill. This place was wonderful. Thank you Peggy and Richard for making our vacation possible, and also for being such fantastic hosts!!!! We will see you next year!
