This is, quite simply, HEAVEN ON EARTH! What a place! From the superb location, and kind humans who take care of you, to the gorgeous home and incredible food, this is the greatest place I’ve ever been on vacation. And did I mention the sweetest dog that ever was lives on the property with you?! Everything was pure perfection. A million thank yous. We will be back!

The Shakti Home is the most unique and special place we have ever been. We hadn"t even left and my wife was looking at when we will come back. Not only is it a perfect villa, it is on a perfect beach. There is nothing more you can ask for. The house cooking from Audrey, which was great, made you really feel at home. McCarl and Max took care of all our needs We will be back and soon.

Photos and pictures sum it up. We were looking for a nice and private location off the beaten path and this delivered. It's a long car ride from either airport but as long as you're aware of that and that you know you're not going to be having wild night life this is the perfect spot for us!

Shakti home is the perfect place for a relaxing Jamaican getaway. The property was picturesque, safe, and well kept. McCarl and Ms. Audrey will take great care of you and they are wonderful people. Whether you are looking for a romantic vacation, or a group adventure, Shakti home is ideal. We will be back!

Property is EXACTLY as pictured, the staff Audrey&McCall are the best. They are attentive to your needs and the meals that Audrey prepares is awesome. One member you just can’t forget is Max, the property watch dog. Overall the Shakti House was a restful,extremely relaxing experience

We had a great visit. Miss Audrey's food was excellent-- so nutritious and fresh. McCarl was awesome and very helpful in setting up a day out on the boat. We LOVED Max-- she is the sweetest little pup and we have been missing her company. The villa is stunning-- there are so many places to enjoy. Highly recommend massages out on the deck near the hammock!

Shakti Home was everything I was looking for. The pictures are an exact depiction of the home. It was the most amazing and relaxing stay made all the better by Audrey, McCarl and Max. Max would accompany me on walks along the beach. The pool was great to relax in especially with the lounge chair in the water. We spent most of our time outside on the super comfortable patio furniture. I highly recommend the boat tour up the Black River with McCarl and Captain Neil. The transportation to and from Shakti that was arranged by Treasure Tours was excellent as well and worth every penny! Audrey and McCarl made our stay so wonderful with amazing meals and conversation. We even asked them to join us for my birthday dinner. Such wonderful, caring people who took great care of us all week. Add to that Max, a sweet and protective dog, and it made for the perfect vacation.

A couple of friends and I dared to get away from all the drama in the world. We planned a year in advance that we’d return to Jamaica because the island and the people are intensely beautiful! We decided that wherever the villa search led, we’d follow. Our search led to the Shakti Home! It was SO fitting! The stay was perfect!!! Sure, there were some challenges like the bugs! (Have a plan!) Also, I’ll blame COVID times on the awkward moments of communication. Yet, nothing overshadowed the peace and tranquility the space offered! We found ourselves surrounded by medicinal plants, fruitful trees, and fresh seafood from the ocean. A small, warm community. Everything everyone said about the staff and their meals is true! No denying the cooking skills! And, Max, your complimentary guardian, will protect you at all costs! Even in her sleep! So grateful to McCarl for taking us fishing! We caught dinner and it was amazing! So much to be said about our stay, know that overall we were happy, relieved, pleased with all the beauty that surrounded us! We were comfortable and safe. I recommend the Shakti Home to anyone who intends compliment the great vibes that reside there. It’s a calming home, a calming space. May you get the rest and joy you seek when you rest with Shakti!

We've stayed in many beach homes and this one takes the cake! It was fabulous all around! The beach out front is beautiful and quiet. When the waves are rough, there is a great spot for boogie boarding and when the sea is calm, it was great for swimming. The outdoor areas are amazing. I needed to work each morning and the WiFi worked well and I was even able to make numerous WiFi calls that had great reception. The true gems of Shakti's house were Audrey and McCarl. Each breakfast and dinner was healthy and fabulous. Audrey even had my coffee ready to go each morning so all I had to do was push the start button. The bikes were helpful if you wanted to bike to town for lunch or to buy any necessities. I also need to mention Max the dog. She was so sweet and to have her around gave me an added sense of safety (not that you needed it, but I love having a good dog lookout for you). This was one of the most relaxing vacations I've had in a long time. Rebecca was quick to answer questions. She greeted us at the home and made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you Rebecca and thank you to the amazing staff, I'm grateful to start 2021 in such a beautiful place. My heart is full.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everyone was so kind and accommodating and the villa was just perfect.

Initially, when I saw the photos of the Shakti Home online, I thought it was a large place and maybe would be too big for just myself and husband - BUT, I was pleasantly surprised - the place was not that big at all, but just PERFECT for the two of us with space to spare. "Simply wonderful" is the phrase that I think best captures the Shakti Home and Shaktini Cottage -'the Love Shack and our stay there. From the wonderful welcome by Rebecca, who even offered and assisted with taking in our luggage from the car, to the absolutely delicious meals which were lovingly prepared by Audrey each morning and afternoon - paying keen attention to each of our likes and dislikes and still creating sumptuous meals, to the faithful watchful eyes and presence of Max (the dog) - as she alerted us to anyone who passes or came close to the Shakti Home, whether they were passing on the beach or entered the property - Simply Wonderful! Having access to the bicycles to explore the community was invigorating and fun - we were even blessed with a large cantelope from one of the farmers on one of our rides in the community. The roof top deck of the Shaktini was also marvelous for my husband and I and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner on the roof deck as we watched the sun set. I think though, that what made our experience and stay so wonderful for us was being literally right there on the beach! The sound of the waves on the beach was a constant soothing factor 24hrs of the day!! Whether we were in the plunge pool, lounging on the pool verandah deck, relaxing in the hammock or being lulled to sleep at the end of the day - seeing and or hearing the waves while at the Shakti Home was - Simply Wonderful!

From the minute we arrived and were greeted by Rebecca, Miss Audrey and McCarl, we were taken with the beauty and sense of calm at Shakti Home. Not only is the home decorated thoughtfully and beautifully, every little touch adds a sense of peace as there are beautiful quotes and Buddhas placed all over the home. We spent all of our time enjoying the pool, which is salt water and was so nice on our skin. The ocean being just steps away was incredible. Miss Audrey's cooking was an absolute highlight and we wanted to take her back with us. I could not have asked for a better week to relax and will 100% be back to stay at Shakti Home soon. Also, Max is the sweetest pup and the best guard dog!! We love Shakti Home!!!

We had such an amazing time at Shakti that we've booked another visit already! Miss Audrey made the most incredible food and worked with our requests with ease. McCarl was very accommodating and helpful! And can't forget about Max! She was amazing, followed us everywhere (including to Jack Sprat where she laid at our feet while we ate lunch). The photos of the villa were exactly what we experienced. HIGHLY recommend Shakti if you want a low key, quiet, disconnected from crazy reality vacation. We are so excited to go back in May!!

We just returned from a week stay at Shakti Home and couldn't be more pleased with our decision to stay at this fabulous property. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two smiling faces who grew to be some of our absolute favorite people. Miss Audrey and McCarl are the very best. They don't skip a beat and made sure that our every need was met during our trip. I am giving this property 5 stars for the following reasons - 1) The view - from nearly everywhere in the house, the view of the sea is spectacular. Not only do you get a glimpse of paradise from every glance, the sounds of the waves are soothing and peaceful. 2) The food - Miss Audrey is a phenomenal cook. Meals are packed with flavor and well thought out. Each day we pushed ourselves away from the table full and happy. Jerk pork, pepper steak and grilled mahi mahi were our favorite dinner dishes. We can't leave McCarl out here though as he was in the kitchen as well helping to prepare meals and set up for service. 3) Overall accommodations - the rooms are well appointed and have comfortable beds, the pool is in a perfect location on the property and is very refreshing during hot days, the furniture in both patio areas is perfect and provides wonderful place to relax. I will add that there are a few things that need some attention though - the kitchen could use a refresh. New appliances and a bigger space for Miss Audrey and McCarl to work their magic would make this home so much better. The refrigerator is small and the stove has seen better days. The shower head in the master bathroom did not work as it was intended to and there were a lot of ants in the bathrooms. There are 4 bicycles and they were pretty worn down. I would suggest getting bikes with gears as this would help riders on uphill treks. All in all, we were very pleased and were able to overlook the things that need some improvements. We will definitely return...mainly to see Miss Audrey and McCarl as they truly are one of the biggest highlights of this property!

This was our second trip to Shatki house and it was just as relaxing as the first. You cannot find a home closer to the beach. There are sdventures within a hour or so but we chose to hang out and enjoy the crashing waves of the ocean, walking on the beach, the plunge pool and delicious food at the house. The water was rougher than last time we came in May so we did not feel comfortable swimming in the cove but, the plunge pool was there for relaxing. We enjoyed cocktails at Jakes and Jack Spratt when we wanted to see other people. Shatki House and TB gets you away from the tours and tourists but, those are just at arms reach when you want it!

After spending in Montego Bay we took the gorguous drive across the island to the amazing fishing community of Treasure Beach to our dreamy beach house that would be our Om away from Home. At Shakti Home, there is something for everyone in the family. Every morning my husband and I did a different bike ride around the wonderful village of Treasure Beach to come home in time for Miss Audrey's delicious home cooked Jamaican breakfast (with freshly baked bread) and a swim in most amazing cove. The kids explored the beach, collected shells boogie boarded, rode bicycles down and hung out at Jakes, did Art class with Rhonda, frolicked in the perfect plunge pool while we relaxed with books and hammocks or enjoyed a rum punch or 2 made by our lovely house man, McCarl. There is so much to do on this part of the Island. Shabba picked us up one day for a boat ride to see the dolphins (yes, we actually jumped in and swam with the dolphins) and picnic lunch on the beach. Another day we toured the fantastic Black River Safari to see the crocodile and other Jamaican wildlife and then on to YS Waterfalls for zip lining. On our last day, we ventured to the Treasure Beach Sports Park to watch a local cricket tournament and see the action. Miss Audrey's cooking is to die for…I don't think I have ever eaten so well in all my life. We have come back to London different people…relaxed, inspired, fulfilled and so at Peace with all. We have already booked our trip for next year!

We have been visiting Jamaica annually for over 20 years. The last several years we have stayed at Shakti Home. It is a "home" to us in every sense of the word. Aside from its incredible comfort and beauty it has a special feeling no doubt reflecting the owners Nicky and Sharon. The rooms are very sweetly appointed with beautiful and whimsical artwork. The inside blends with the outside in an easy flow---you feel like you are one with the sea and the sand. The staff, Audrey, McCarl and Sonya are part of Shakti and part of what makes it feel like home. We have decided that Audrey is the best cook on the island---and the meals served up at Shakti are a central part of the experience. Every year that we have returned there have been significant upgrades to the house. New floors, new showers, and the biggest recent addition, a plunge pool. Many afternoons spent at the next door cove body surfing followed by a quick shower and a plunge in the pool with a red stripe in hand. Can it get any better? One of my favorite spots---the hammock on the yoga cabana overlooking the sea. Sunsets are stunning! Treasure Beach is one of the best parts of the island and Shakti is by far our favorite place to stay!

You cannot really compare Shakti Home to almost anything. I doubt their is a more luxurious place in all of Jamaica and without question it's the nicest place in all of Treasure Beach. You also are VERY safe to walk around outside the grounds in Treasure Beach. We were here for Thanksgiving and Audrey cooked for us and it was wonderful! Maccao (who's name I'm sure I just spelled wrong) the groundskeeper was also pretty awesome. He invited me for when he went spear fishing even - I didn't do it because I'm not the best swimmer :) The ENTIRE house opens up to the ocean - the hammocks are nice but so are the beach chairs on the lawn. The pool with the infinity edge was pretty awesome for a view. The only remotely negative thing was the first night we were there we didn't close the house up by dark and we invited A LOT of bugs inside. I probably killed 150 tiny black beetles that night in bed - lesson learned though - the second night we closed the house up early and had no issues. This place truly is spectacular and we will be back! One suggestion is to go with some family or friends so you can share the cost - but it was worth every penny for me and my girlfriends getaway Thanksgiving :)

"Om away from Home". I took that quote from the managers description of Shakti Home, and it's accurate to the point where it should be written over the front door. I stayed at Shakti Home in August while on a two week vacation. I stayed for two nights and wished I could have stayed a lifetime. Everything about my Shakti Home experience was perfect. The staff was so friendly, they made us feel so welcome, and they sure can cook! My bedroom opened up into the garden, with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. And there's a perfect little spot - a deck, for relaxation, yoga, or even just to have your morning coffee. What I miss the most though is probably hearing the sound of waves crashing on the beach as I fell asleep in a hammock tied between two coconut trees. Nothing but peace and tranquility. For now my memories will have to suffice, but I will definitely visit again! Until next time Shakti Home! Namaste.

Shakti Home is a beautiful andsoulful spot and easily one of my favourite on the island! The house has a yogi glam vibe, with all the basics covered : a tree house bedroom with a shower in the bed room, it's right on the beach, an outdoor shower and an awesome hammock spot for naps and relaxing. And to top it all off the food was awesome! Treasure beach is the true authentic Jamaican experience. It's rootzy, real and theres tons to do. There are boat tours out to Pelican Bar (a bar built in the middle of the sea) The famous Jakes hotel and Jack Sprat restaurant nearby (try the lobster pizza) YS Falls and the list goes on... Shakti home hits the sweet spot with its positive yoga vibes fused with modern comforts, true Bohemian Luxury.

I stayed at Shakti Home with my family over Springbreak/Easter. We knew by the pictures that we were going to stay in a beautiful home but until we got there we didn't know it was actually outstanding. We arrived late in the evening and we were welcomed by the villa's Staff with a traditional jamaican dinner executed to perfection. I have been going to Jamaica often over the last 3 decades (yes I am not a kid anymore) and rarely have I had such a great time. The villa is right in front the best beach of Treasure Beach. We would hang by the beach every day and go back to the house for lunch and napping on the hammocks. it was perfect. We organized a boat tour with Captain Dennis aka Shabba (highly recommended), and a trip to YS Falls which are fantastic. Very hard to leave this beautiful house as we had everything we needed right there. Audrey, our cook, would prepare the best breakfasts and dinners you would ever dream. Shakti Home is the perfect family retreat to disconnect from our overly busy lives. Needless to say, I highly recommend it. The difficult part is dealing with the return and the reality back in Brooklyn, though the secret to alleviate it is to imagine ourselves back soon at Shakti Home.

Our 3rd time at Shakti Home and it just keeps getting better. Lots of interesting upgrades since we were there last and the best parts the same, amazing home cooking by Audrey, and a view to die for with the peace and serenity we needed. You leave here a new person. McCarl, the caretaker at Shakti also helped to make sure any of our needs were met. Perfect place for doing nothing but relaxing!

What a find! Shakti Home is a unique gem that seems to exist outside of time. My husband and I have been going to Jamaica for more than three decades and have always loved the people and the places we visit. But this gorgeous little gem has become our favorite destination. It is private but convenient and so comfortable. This spot has an artistic beauty with colors and space that is so open you feel as if you are on the ocean. The rooms are charming and beautifully decorated with quality linens, towels and soaps. Everything smells so good we felt as if we were in a spa. The owner Sharon and her manager went out of their way to get us everything we could possibly need, including fresh fruits and fish every day. The staff is incredibly talented and kind. Audrey's authentic cooking is truly reason enough to come here! My daughters (12 and 14) asked when we are going back. They loved Jake's and Jack Sprat. The sea is so calm here, we always felt safe. Plus, one day we rented a boat and went snorkeling nearby. We feel truly lucky to have found such a special place and will definitely come back again as soon as possible.

Shakti Home is the perfect location to make you feel both at peace and energised at the same time. Surrounded by the endless sound of the ocean, the flutter of butterflies & birds, not to mention the sheer beauty and vibes of Treasure Beach, we felt relaxed and at home. The very cool decor & tropical/modern aesthetic only compliments the amazing landscape. We enjoyed swimming in tranquil coves and snorkeling around the reef. We can only rave about the homemade food and natural juices. Miss. Audrey's cooking and baking is out of this world, and we felt secure and pampered by the whole team. A massage on the yoga deck by Krissi is a must. She doesn't miss an inch. This is a funky little oasis that can't be beat, and there is so much to do on the South Coast, that it's the perfect mix of tranquility and adventure.

My husband and I consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been among the very first guests to stay at Shaktini, the jewel box of villa nestled alongside Shakti Home. The villa was designed by Sally Henzell, the resident creative genius of Treasure Beach. (Sally founded—and designed— Jakes, the famed barefoot-chic beach hotel that’s at the red-hot center of life in Treasure Beach). If you’re into design, you’ll adore all the whimsical touches that make this one-bedroom suite feel like a miniature miracle. There’s the cleverly positioned shower that stands directly behind the bed and the beautiful tree that grows right through the polished wood sun deck. Climb the stairs built directly into that same, beautiful tree and you’ll find yourself at the real Shaktini show-stopper: The exquisite rooftop sundeck that’s furnished with a giant, curtained daybed and a view of the turquoise sea, below. Sure, the beach may be just yards away, but the Shaktini roof-deck is a totally private affair. There’s plenty more to say about why this location is so special (we loved the protected swimming cove that’s steps away, for example) but best is you discover the magic for yourself!

We traveled with our 4 children and my mother in law to Treasure Beach for the week. It was absolutely Phenomenal. It is perfectly situated On the beach with two magnificent beach coves 20 steps from the door. Our kids were able to run in and out easily all day. Absolutely highlight however is Audrey's fantastic cooking. We made a menu with her for the week and every night after a heavenly day at the beach we were greeted with a traditional, home cooked Jamaica Feast. Book early because this house books up far in advance.

Shakti Home is every bit like the description and photos tell you, and so much more! A little peace of paradise: a beautiful home, a lovely garden and terrace with a view to match.Audrey and Sheldon were amazing.Always friendly,helpful and a joy to meet.Every dinner was a Jamaican treat! We felt so spoiled...Rebecca and her team did everything do make our stay comfortable and had excellent advice for us on all issues imaginable.The Black River tour with Captain Dennis was an exellent,memorable outing - another day of fun and joy and wonderful memories.Treasure Beach is everything the big resorts are not: laid back, friendly,safe,beautifully rugged and welcoming .We' ve never been to Jamaica before . This area and wonderful Shakti Home made us fall in love with the island.Thanks!

I hesitated to write this review because, it is not our intention to harm anyone. However, we rely on reviews for our decision making and I think it is important for future renters, the home owner and management company to know our experience. Choosing to stay here 2 weeks was a once in a lifetime dream vacation for us. Unfortunately, we felt very uncomfortable here until the staff was tipped. That was a week and a half into our vacation. We were very clear with the management that we wanted privacy & control over our food expenses. (The price they quote for food is much hirer than what it costs to buy food in Jamaica. (We shopped generously for 2 of us, including alcohol for less than $100/week!). Instead, the manager and staff greeted us upon our arrival and the staff pushed themselves on us. We felt bad, so we hired them part time. The 20% tip on lodging costs recommended is much hirer than an average Jamaican salary for cooking and cleaning. At another house, we were asked to pay $20/day for the same service. We had no idea when we were suppose to tip & assumed we would do that on our last day. The staff hovered over us until we tipped them, so we never really had privacy and were not able to relax. Finally, I asked the home owner to explain the protocol for tipping. She did not reply with a clear answer and instead we received an accidental e mail that she sent to the management company, where she said she, "hates people like us." In addition, the taxi driver who picked us up in Montego Bay, sent by the management company, picked us up in a small old dirty car and talked behind our back when we asked him to turn on the AC. All in all this was not a yogic experience, so don't let the name Shakti Home & all the yoga decor fool you. I wouldn't suggest staying here unless money is not an issue for you, you don't mind everything (staff, food and taxi) being over priced and you want to hire the staff full time. The house is gorgeous & very comfortable. It's in a great location. The staff are very kind and skilled. We just didn't feel communication was clear or honest. Suggestions for management and home owner...roll staff into the nightly rate and their tip should be a bonus, not money they count on. Otherwise, don't tell guests that it is optional just so you can rent the house. I would only rent this house is you want full time staff and very little privacy.

Shakti home is a little paradise. I was filled with gratitude after spending time at this restful and beautiful retreat house from the world. It is charmingly appointed and perfectly maintained. I was well taken care of by the staff and the food was excellent. I shall return.
