Came to Venice for a short visit to watch my son graduate from high school. House was clean and convenient, spent some time on the beach and had a great time.

This is a very clean and up to date apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, etc. You are provided with one roll of paper towels, so you may need to buy more, depending on the length of your stay. (This also applies to the toilet paper...1 roll for your stay.) There are no condiments or spices kept at the property. If you will use aluminum foil or plastic wrap, you will need to bring that, too. Keep that in mind when shopping for your meals. The location of this property is just a few minutes from Venice Beach and downtown Venice. There is a nature park nearby. Great for walking. You will love watching the birds in the backyard and out front. Many different species, big and small! The apartment is cozy, welcoming, and CLEAN! The beds are comfortable and the shower is roomy. There are 3 tvs in the apartment with a variety of programming options. The host makes the whole process easy and enjoyable. Great choice for a long or short stay in Venice.

The first morning that we woke up they had begun construction on the house. The front pergola was taken down & they jack hammered the sidewalk & porch on the front of the house. Also when we arrive the owner had a cat & she told me that the pervious tenant loved her cats & they would let her cat come in the house. That was a huge problem for us since my husband is allergic to cats. He had to take medication the whole time we were there. Have always enjoyed our stays at VRBO's but this was not the greatest.

My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing week in Venice. The property was perfect and in a super quiet neighborhood. Laura went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed while staying at her property. 😃

We could not have been happier with our stay. The home was clean, comfortable, well equipped, great location, etc. Our host, Laura was a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with. Would recommend this property to my family and friends. We definitely hope to return in 2024. Thank you, Laura, for making our stay the best we could have ever hoped for.

Clean and nicely decorated interior! Beds were very comfortable!! Owner lives in attached apartment. Curb appeal was a bit lacking. We enjoyed our two week stay!

Had no Wi-Fi was the only problem. The area was nice, my dogs enjoyed the yard to play. Able to hand up my dive gear to dry for the next day. The owner was very nice.

This is a nice property close to everything. Neat and clean; no issues at all. We had a small snafu with the door lock but the owner was very responsive and the fix was fast. Brought our dog and the yard worked out well even though IAN blew down some of the fence. No Ian damage here - great value!

Very clean

My mom lost her house during Hurricane Ian and we could only find a hotel room in Tampa, and only for 4 nights. There was no availability anywhere and many areas still had no power. I was starting to come to terms with sleeping in the lanai of her flooded house when Laura messaged me that her rental just got power back and we were welcome to it. The house is very comfortable and absolutely felt like home. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, parking was very convenient, and the house was stocked with everything we needed to settle in for 10 days. The ability to have a hot home-cooked meal in our cozy place was so critical during that traumatic time. We had plenty of space, access to a washer and dryer, strong wifi, and peace and quiet. Laura came out to meet us when we arrived and she was so gracious. I can't say enough good things about this owner or this place.

We were extremely happy with our one month stay. The home was comfortable and certainly a great value for the Venice area. Perfectly located to enjoy the many nearby beaches and allows for easy day-trips to the Sarasota and Fort Myers areas. Others have written about Laura's hospitality and she indeed goes out of her way to accommodate any requests. We will definitely utilize this property again for our next trip to Venice.

Great location, very clean home! Home has everything you need for an extended stay and the owners are extremely kind and accommodating. The value is unmatched in the Venice area. Thank you Laura!

Home was very clean and just as described. Perfect for our family of 4. The listing described the home well so we were prepared for things like outside laundry, etc. The home was nice and updated inside with a cute beach decor. We had a great time hunting sharks teeth everyday close to Caspersen Beach. We even fished from the pier at night! Overall a great experience!

Although the interior has been updated. The exterior is lacking. I know why they don’t show the outside in the listing. The house on the outside looks run down. The screen door is hard to close. The front area smells moldy. Needs to be pressure washed. There were piles of rotting wood in the yard which made me nervous for rodents and snakes. The washer and dryer are Located outside in the back. So you have to walk through the yard to do wash. I had to rewash all the towels before I could use them because they smelled very musty/soured when I went to use them. I left the towels clean and folded for the next guest. I wasn’t happy that the owner has the guest take out trash by 7:00 am. Most folks on vacation shouldn’t have to get up early if they don’t want too. The interior of the home is nice. The beds are very comfy. The second bathroom is of no use in Florida. It is outside in a screen room and is NOT air conditioned. This property needs to show the outside in its listing. And maybe do some maintenance as well.

We had a fabulous time despite COVID-19. We loved the house. Beaches were perfect. We ate out one night and had takeout. Played games, read, and watched movies. I loved the screened in area for my morning coffee.

We are repeat visitors. Laura always is accommodating and her property is perfect for us.

Everything was perfect

The property was clean but the grass was very long especially in the back yard. The indoor areas were very clean as well. It's well maintained. We had some issues with the TV in the bedroom not functioning properly (not turning on manually & remotes not working). That was basically the only problem we had. It was very comfortable and accurate to listing description. Overall very happy with our stay. Thanks

I don't think I can say enough about this property! The location is PERFECT, the accommodations are PERFECT, it's just all around PERFECT!

My wife and I took the opportunity to get away for a few days deciding upon Laura's South Venice Beach home, we were very pleased with our choice! The home is very well appointed, extremely comfortable and Laura is very fast to respond to communications. We loved taking the ferry to the private beach where we found our share of shark teeth, as a matter of fact we went back 3 times it was so much fun. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun time in South Venice Beach!

Stayed here before. Everything we need. Fenced yard for our dog is a plus.

My family of four really enjoyed our stay at Laura's S. Venice home! The house is so comfortable and beautifully decorated and the location was perfect!! So close to the beaches and all the conveniences...the ferry to the private beach was AWESOME! So fun and what a beautiful and private beach! I recommend staying here if you are considering it. This is a great place to stay and Laura is a terrific host. We chose this property for many reasons, but mainly because It is close to both the private beach ferry and Shamrock park. You can take the bikes on a quick ride to the park, then enjoy the day at the private beach which usually ends with a beautiful sunset. It doesn't get much better than that. Not all rentals in South Venice include a ferry pass like this one. That was important to us. The house is tastefully decorated and the classic terrazzo floors are beautiful. The recent renovations are well done and the cleaning crew keeps the place spotless. The landscaping is nice and the backyard is HUGE. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to be back soon.

Laura is the BEST, hands down! Her home is very comfortable and welcoming. Updates to this solidly built classic Ol’ Florida style home has been very tastefully done. Colors are modern, finishes throughout the home are great. Can we take a minute and discuss her artwork?! A lot of consideration was taken for each piece that is lovingly placed in the home. I want her artwork in my home. Very well appointed with everything you’ll need during your stay, even down to the juicer. The backyard is great and our dogs loved playing in the yard and hunting for lizards. We walked the fence line to make sure it was all secure and gates were closed, no worries in leaving your fur baby in the yard unattended. So glad we didn’t have to put them on a leash to go in the backyard. We absolutely loved all the storks, ibis and other birds that hang out in the yard due to a nearby Rookery. We got some great photos. Cute local movie theater nearby. LOVE,💕❤️💕LOVE the access to the private beach and the ferry ride over. Makes it feel so exclusive. Great shelling and shark teeth hunting opportunities. Don’t forget to save time to drive about ten minutes north to the Jetty for a spectacular sunset! Great farmers market nearby for tasty produce and fresh seafood. Quiet neighborhood, some really great restoration work is going on in the neighborhood. We loved the outdoor patio and the washer and dryer work just great. Loved the clothesline to hang out beach towels and swimsuits after a long day. Oh, and the beds were really comfy. Communication with Laura was fantastic, she is very quick to respond to any questions that may come up. Such a pleasure! We can’t wait to go back. 💋
