Location is good, few steps from the sea, restaurants and market. Few minutes drive from Taormina. The terrace is amazing, lots of sun and shadow and space for relaxing and dining. Kitchen was functional and living room was comfortable. The apartment was clean. The host was very friendly and tried to support us on every small request to make our stay more comfortable, for example the hairdryer was not working properly and he immediately provided us with a new one.

Stairs to the apartment were very narrow and steep, bringing up luggage and a child was not an easy task. Train line is right behind the building so it took some time to get used to the noise. In addition there were works to the municipality cloak in the previous days so during our stay we had a bad smell in the bathroom that was reaching also the bedroom. Of course not the fault of the host.

- camera on terrace - extreme noise and vibration from train and noise from streets!!! - intransparent extra fee without a bill (had to pay 30 Euro instead of 18 for what?) - missing attention to details: glue on wall and no dustbin in bathroom, no safety socket cover, no tea towel in Kitchen, old plastic flowers, rusty ashtray, broken rollo... - doors from Kitchen and room are heavy to close and can not be locked - no Personal contact with host, missing hospitality

We have another week of staying at the Sky House in Giardini Naxos. The reward for overcoming the three floors of the house is living with a beautiful view of the sea, the sunrise over it, fishing and cruise ships and a view over the roofs of neighboring houses on the smoking Etna. The kitchen itself gives you the opportunity to be self-sufficient and the patisserie directly across the street offers a great coffee as well as fresh pastries for breakfast. Small shops and restaurants just a few meters from the house will offer everything you need to live in a normal Sicilian town. Even a barber shop :-)

Big appartment with great terrace and sea view.

We had problems some with the booking. 1. We booked for 2 nights. After booking the person who manages tried to tell us that it is possible for a minim of 3 nights....we talked to booking.com and they agreed on hosting us for only 2 nights. 2. When we arrived, the person who manages tried to charge us 10€ for towels and sheets and 25€ for cleaning. He was rude to us when we explained to him that this is not possible and that we have already payed everithing except city tax on booking.com.( we didn’t agreed to pay!; also booking.com confirmed that we do not have to pay) 3. The appartment was not very clean, the sheets were dirty; there was no hot water and the shower was olso dirty and also moving.(did’t contact the manager for this problem because we didn’t spend much time it the appartment and also we didn’t want to talk to him after arrival problems). 4. Close to train station, so you could hear all the trains passing by.

Excellent location about 15 minutes walk to the main beach and restaurants (there is no restaurant on site as I believed given there are food pictures on the description) And €3 return on the bus to Taormina. beautiful views (this comes at a price, many many stairs which is difficult and dangerous with a suitcase). comfortable bed. nice outdoor seating area.

Only 1 set of towels and bedding for the week. No bedding for the sofa bed. Lots of ants. Even in the bedroom. Pans in kitchen were very old and not really usable as the coating was chipping off. The plug was stuck in the bathroom sink and took a while to be repaired as the owner was out of town (we were told to repair it ourselves initially) and then we had to wait in for the repair man. Bathroom door didn’t fit properly and paint was chipping off. There are many stairs as detailed above, the top being a winding staircase, I wouldn’t recommend with a suitcase I had great difficultly getting it down the stairs. Our friends stayed at Villa Victoria which was lovely and paid considerably less with breakfast so I would stay there next time.
