Wonderful well appointed home - terrific for a large family to gather. Close to everything. Air conditioned bedrooms are a huge plus!

The house is absolutely phenomenal! We all absolutely loved staying there. The walk into Hanalei is super easy and the setting is unbelievably picturesque. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We have stayed at the Dolphin house 4 times over the last 10 years. The house is huge, and it is has a lot of sleeping options for big families. There are ground floor rooms for the grandparents, and a separate guest house for young families with babies. The house is ideally situated-- you just walk out the back door, and you are on the beach. You can also walk to town in less than 5 minutes for your morning coffee. The house is maintained impeccably, and it looks the same today as it did 10 years ago. There is no better spot to stay in Kauai!

The Dolphin house was immaculate! Everyone in our party was comfortable and in awe of the living, sleeping and outdoor space. Jessica was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Words do not describe the yard that leads to the beach. The grounds are very manicured and make it lovely to sit outside and enjoy the natural beauty all around. The kitchen was great for cooking a big breakfast and eating the at table on the lanai ...wow... Thank you Mark and Carlee and Jessica. It was a perfect family vacation!

We had the best multi-generational stay at the Dolphin house. The location is magic - waterfalls, rainbows, mountains, ocean, stars and sunsets. The house is spacious, comfortable and so much fun with a great kitchen, pool table, card table, sound system, etc. We can't wait to go back!

What a superb property!! By far the best on Hanalei beach!!!! We have rented a few and this is at the top of our list! Perfect location (on the beach and close to town) great size house for 10, functional kitchen, location is actually magical (mountains in the background and beach). No other property at this price comes close to this one! Our beach was also very quiet, far from the public access. If I had to add a suggestion, I would ask for extra outdoor furniture (for cocktail hour maybe a couch/coffee table). Also, it was great that there was lots of beach chairs/umbrellas to use. And The grounds are so manicured! What a treat to spend our 2 weeks here!! We will for sure be back!!!!!!

Our little group of 5 had more than enough room in this large house and guest house!! Beautiful views from everywhere and easy location for going into town! Look forward to our next trip!!

We loved our stay at Kai Nani. The location was perfect with views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. The kitchen was very well supplied with all the pots and pans and cooking utensils needed which made meal preparation easy but the knives were quite which was frustrating at times. The house and grounds were great for kids and the manager helped us coordinate a crib and stroller for our infant son which was very helpful.

I can not tell you how great this property is. It checks every box! The location couldn't have been better, close to town and shopping, steps from the ocean. The home is perfectly laid out with plenty of space for everyone. Everything we needed was there, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, snorkeling gear etc. There were plenty of puzzles and games. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed. The whole package was top notch. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It was unforgettable !

Gorgeous location. Big spacious house. Well-appointed kitchen. What made this house and experience outstanding and what I haven't experienced elsewhere when renting was the property manager. Her attention was exemplary and I couldn't have asked for anything else. She went far above and beyond, communication was excellent, and she made all the difference in this experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin House "Kai Nani" in Hanalei. The home and property were spectacular. Access to the beach was a dream. Hanalei and the north shore of Kauai are a special treat due to the quiet, slow pace and Hawaiian hospitality.

Great. Close to food, shopping and on the beach. Perfect home for our family. Host, and owner were great to work with. I can not say enough good things about this property. Would love to come again and stay longer.

We had a lovely time in this house. Had a couple of glitches in the beginning of our stay but Jessica, the property manager, was very responsive. We wish that the master bedroom had AC as it did when we stayed here previously. Overall, we would definitely stay here again as the location cannot be beat and the house and grounds are otherwise perfect!

We loved our stay at The Dolphin House. The location on the beach, the spacious and impeccably maintained grounds and walking proximity to town, cannot be beat. The house accommodates two families comfortably. The kitchen is well-appointed with all necessary equipment and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We will be back for sure.

It was set on a well kept, beautifully landscaped property. Our little ones loved the grassy lawn and we all loved the location on the beautiful beach at the end of the property. Our February weather was not perfect our 9 days, but this location minimized our disappointment with the sunshine, because the design of the house lets the outside come in on any day. The interior design was simple and tasteful with lots of clear surfaces to spread out on - no clutter! We kept a puzzle going on one table and our son-in-laws played pool while their children watched a movie - all in the same spacious room. The professional staff was gracious, helpful and easy to reach for questions. They were very responsive but not intrusive. Plus, there was good information in a notebook at the house that included menus from various restaurants and things to see and do. Our walks to Pinks Ice Cream shop became a daily routine. The property description was accurate, with lots of amenities (with the exception of no ice-maker). We loved the outside shower and foot-wash off the large patio to clean up after our time on the beach. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies. We enjoyed cooking together in the large kitchen and eating on the patio. The balconies off the upstairs bedrooms were large with FABULOUS views of the bay and beach. The cottage, with 2 additional sleeping areas is a unique situation and just as nice as the main house. We will cherish our memories of this vacation and have already recommended the Dolphin House to our good friends in California.

The Dolphin house was amazing. My family and friends had a wonderful time. The house accommodated everyone from the age of 9 mo to 50+. The immediate access to the beach, shopping and adventures was great. Management check in with us to ensure that everything was running smoothly. We loved the community and plan to return next summer.

Only positive thoughts fill my mind when I think of the Dolphin Estate. My husband and I immediately booked our trip back next year because this house is an absolute treasure! Our family included 6 adults and 8 children ages 9 mo to 12 years. It was perfect. The immediate access to the beach allowed for never ending fun for the older kids (and adults), and the spacious lawn kept the little ones entertained when the sand and water became too much for them. It allowed for privacy with immediate access to shopping and dinning. We can't wait to return next summer.

This is by far the the best possible stay in Kauai and perhaps all the islands too! The historic home is upgraded in every possible way from the gourmet kitchen with every possible appliance and utensil to the music wired to each room that we played from our iPhones pandora app! Amazing sound! A huge manicured lawn large enough for soccer games, picnics with ocean views beyond from most rooms. The sunsets over Na Pali coast are unsurpassed and different every night! Large screen tv's, baths ensuite and comfy beds make every room a delight. It is a difficult place to leave as we did not even venture out for meals preferring the comforts of home. All the fresh produce is readily available at nearby farmers' market along with fresh fish market in town. The home is spotless, photos unable to do justice to the experience of being there and all our questions very kindly and promptly answered! I cannot think of another VRBO I can recommend more highly and we have stayed in many worldwide. We hope to return again.

How do I begin to describe how superior this vacation home is? It's immaculately maintained, and every amenity is top of the line. Set back from the beach far enough that it feels very private. The center of town is two blocks away for easy shopping. We stayed with 3 other couples and we are all members of a gourmet dinner group so particularly appreciated the well stocked kitchen. All the cooking equipment you could possibly want, and plenty of dishes and silverware as well. The whole back of the house has a spectacular view of the bay. Sleeping was wonderful as the sound of the ocean can be heard from the bedrooms. The pool table is a fun feature that we enjoyed too. The gardens are a special treat as they have been professionally designed are are beautifully maintained. A beautiful touch are the orchids and staghorn ferns growing out of the palm tree trunks. I can’t recommend this beautiful home enough. We will definitely be back.

The Dolphin House is fantastic. My family and I just returned from our 5th summer stay at the house (we've already booked for our 6th), and it's better than ever. Specifically, the house has always been top notch (super clean, airy, spacious and nicely appointed), but just this past winter, the owners added two new rooms, improved a third and added a powder room. They also replaced what were lovely french doors looking out to the ocean with even better huge sliding glass doors that improve the view. On top of all this, the location is spectacular. Almost right in the center of the Bay and a quick walk to town for a bite to eat or a shaved ice for the kids. You cannot do better in Hanalei.
