Nice house, clean and tidy. Internet and TV did not work. Decent location but you had to cross an extremely busy route 12 and walk .3 miles to get to the beach.

Please be careful on the decks as there are many nails sticking out. Dryer did not work that good. Overall a decent place for our family for the money. Wish we had known that the house had boogie boards, umbrella and beach cart so we didn’t rent them.

Overall I loved the house. Very cozy property. Although the house wasn't cleaned the greatest. It was dusty and there were some items left behind by the previous tennant. The pool was great! I love that there were pool toys and kids toys! Great feature! Not far from the beach.

The property itself is fantastic, and the house was nice. The pool was amazing!! We were not given a text to let us know the place was ready to get in, there was a dead bug on the dining room table, and what appeared to be a chunk of egg on a chair in the living room. Cigarette butts around the pool, an old bar of soap and razor blade case in the upstairs shower. The volleyball couldn't hold air, so we ended up buying one. There were three practice golf balls that were not smashed on the putting green.
I was shocked that this property does not have linens such as sheets and towels (unless you pay for them, we bought our supply at Walmart for $35 for 8 of us instead) but also does not have basic things like hand soap or salt and pepper. We have stayed a lot of places and never had to go out and buy our own hand soap, there was 1 extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom which was not enough for a 9 day stay with 8 people.
The house itself was great, the cleaning and amenities were not worth the money.
Beware of the sticky thorns on the grass, they draw blood.
Don't shank the volleyball, it either ends up in the road or the bushes and you'll never get it back.
I wish I knew that the house is the first house on the street of a very busy highway, traffic noise 24 hours a day.

Would definitely rent again
The house was equipped with everything we needed and the amenities were perfect for the children to keep busy for 7 days. The AC went out, but the property management company was extremely diligent and had somewhere there to fix it in no time. I would highly recommend staying here.

It was ok
Location was great, house was very nice, cleaning service was real bad. House was dirty when we arrived, no towels, we had to go and buy towels. Fridge ice maker broken, falling ice every time we open the door. TV in master bedroom was blocked by the bed frame, so you only had partial view. House overall Had lots of games, nice pool, a great place to go to. Needs cleaning though.

Everything was wonderful! The refrigerator seemed to run too warm. Food was warm in refrigerator and thawing in the freezer. Ice in freezer was melted.

Overall nice stay
This was our first stay in OBX and Duck is definitely the best, cutest, little town with plenty to do. The house was massive and had everything our family needed. I do wish they paid more attention to details like the throw up looking gunk I had to clean off my daughters remote , the games were left in shambles, or a mattress pad in the master would be nice it was as hard as a rock. I also wish I had known how loud the traffic noise was going to be. If you’re like me and you find it hard to relax looking and hearing traffic you won’t be spending much time on the beautiful porches. But this didn’t bother us in the backyard. The pool area was beautiful and backed up to these beautiful woods where we often saw different birds and deer. In the pictures it looked like the whole house was going to be secluded by tree coverage so I was just surprised to walk out on the porches and be bombarded with traffic and noise. It was also tough not being able to let the kids play alone in the sand or mini golf area because of how close it was to the road. Again, the pictures made it seem more set in, but wasn’t a big deal to sit out and watch them. Plenty of lawn and sand toys were there which was much appreciated! the beach was a short walk and I was worried to cross the street with all the kids but people usually stopped to let us cross. The beach was beautiful l, clean, and uncrowned. Sidewalks all the way into duck, kids loved walking to Aqua, great food, outdoor seating and live music. Overall great trip, just wish I had known how close the road was in advance.

Great stay - just a few changes that could be made
Check in was easy- even got a tx when the house was ready early! The upstairs layout was nice- all open kitchen and living room concept. If you are planning on cooking I would bring some containers for leftovers. There were only a couple. Otherwise the kitchen was fully stocked with all your needs. We did have an issue with the ice maker not working and called twice but no one came to fix it. Not a big issue. Plenty of room for our group of 8 adults with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. The extra charge for the linen and towel service wasn’t worth the $150.00 we paid. Towels were very thin and only one kitchen towel was included. I would recommend bringing your own. The pool was a pure delight to have and was used frequently. Easy access to the beach and bike path. Other than those few minor comments I mentioned the house was terrific. U
