Tallgums Hideaway - family beach retreat
Rifugio di Tallgums a 12 Connells Close Mossy Point, è un affascinante cottage di cedro vicino a Broulee Beach e al fiume Tomaga. Dispone di 2 camere doppie (letto una matrimoniale e una matrimoniale) e due loft con due letti singoli ciascuna. I loft sono accessibili tramite scale e sono adatti a bambini di età superiore a sette anni o adulti senza problemi di mobilità. Cuscini e doonas sono forniti ma è necessario portare i propri fogli, federe, asciugamani e strofinacci. Il bagno ha una doccia, WC, lavandino e anche lavandino della lavanderia e una piccola lavatrice. La cucina è dotata di frigorifero, forno, microonde e una serie completa di stoviglie, posate e attrezzature da cucina. Parcheggio interno ospiterà 2 auto. Il cottage è circondato da un giardino naturale di gengive maculate e cicadee. raggiungere a piedi il fiume Tomaga in 5 minuti o la spiaggia di Broulee in 15 minuti (5 minuti in auto). Nota: la proprietà è disponibile per un minimo di due giorni.

Not as described at all. To be fair to owners I have contacted them privately since to make them aware of details. I hope we experienced a one-off stay, as previous reviews were good!
Basically, It wasnt clean, rubbish on bedroom floor, dog hair inside & a lingering musty smell in every room.

Old fashion holiday house. No internet/pay tv just normal free to air, good beds and loft style rooms for teenager was a hit too. It’s two queen beds not Double & queen like told and it’s a portable air con which is fine for the little place.

We were happy to see that Glyn and Fiona had left a torch to help us find the key to this little gem of a house. We didn't arrive until midnight after our long drive from Melbourne. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood and fit all of our needs. The coffee cafe a few blocks away is a gem too! Would come back here when we return hoping sooner than later.Thank you for a lovely stay.

Quiet area, short drive to many local beaches.older cottage but very clean and lots of extras provided. Kitchen quite dated but plenty of cooking utensils etc all in all, a comfortable place to stay.

We enjoyed our time this week. The kids aged 9 and 11 enjoyed the lofts and their own space. Dogs were accomodated inside and the yard was secure enough for our two large/ medium sized dogs. Cottage is how it was explained in description and met our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the lagoon, beach, dog walks, local cafe, kayaking and fishing close by.
We bought our chrome caste and used a mobile hotspot on our rainy day and enjoyed a day in watching a couple of movies on netflix but used the other days to switch off and wind down from a busy year. Thank you. We will be back.

Snug cottage with loft space and cosy living area. Comfortable beds and close to the wonderful coffee shops and walks around mossy point.

Cosy 4bedroom cottage in quiet area with lots of trees. Close to beach. We’ll set up for our dog. Met all our expectations. Very happy and likely to return.

This cottage, though older, had all we needed for a holiday stay. Even though it was just my daughter and I, everything is covered for a family and kids and there is an enclosed yard for the dog as well. All the basics are there as well as thoughtful extras. The beds were comfortable and the heating kept us cosy during a very chilly weekend. The renovated bathroom was clean and pleasant to use. It is in a lovely neighbourhood which we enjoyed walking around. Glyn responded quickly to all my enquiries.

Second time I have stayed here. Love the area. Beautiful tall gums in the front yard. Laid back place, I can take the dogs. Nice and cosy.

Lovely old school cottage. Excellent location. Simple and comfortable. Ladders to mezzanine loft bedrooms a big hit with the children (aged 6+). Walking distance to jetty’s and kayak hire. Short drive to beaches and Broulee island. Very helpful hosts.

We had a nice weekend getaway. Very nice, clean and well maintained property in a quiet street and great location. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. We enjoyed our stay as it was very relaxing and close to the beach. The beds were really comfy and we had great night sleeps. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had a good stay, enclosed yard made it easy to bring our dog. Washing machine was a test of our endurance, needing constant resetting and skipping through cycles.

Diappointed.
Very disappoiNted. Did not look like photos. The whole pkace had so many spiderwebs especially the bedroom walls and ceilings. Too expensive for the poor state its in.

Relaxing break
Tallgums is a great place to relax and switch off from everything. It is an older style holiday house and was a good size for our family of four. Our kids loved the lofts and I loved the birdlife!

Location is lovely and quiet
While well located in a quiet street not far from the reserve, the state of the home was a disappointment. The crockery was musty and cutlery needed washing and there were cobwebs and a layer of dust over much of the house. The house needs a good spring clean.
Other reviewers had mentioned a dog proof yard, while the backyard was good size, the fencing had loose and missing palings.
Communication with the friendly host was easy.

Very cosy place and the owners were very helpful and lovely to deal with.
My family loved the place because of its location. Very close to the lake and the beach. Not to mention, it is also pet friendly. Our four legged pal loved the backyard too.

November getaway
Property was cosy, had all the basics and was affordable. The main drawback the lack of WiFi, which we did not check before getting there. The online listing currently does not include WiFi. The loft was a novelty for our teens. The backyard was dog proof, which was appreciated. Very good value for the price. Thank you.
