We had a great time staying at this property. It was very close to town and other amenities. It was clean and felt like home. I really appreciated that shampoo, conditioner and body wash was supplied! Just one less thing to have to pack. We had plenty of towels and full use of the well stocked kitchen. Thank you!

Our kids LOVED the road in front of the house and the sledding opportunity!

This was a warm and cozy house perfect for our family. While we don’t have small kids, the set up is perfect for either small kids(bunk beds in master) or adults traveling together with plenty's of space for everyone. Very well appointed with views of Grand Lake that were amazing. Only issues we had were no washer and dryer and the hot tub is only for 2 people. Hosts were amazing and we loved staying here. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! It was in a great location and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was the perfect place to block out the daily noise of our lives and enjoy a relaxing getaway. The house is perfect, everything we could want or need. The location is ideal. This is our second year staying here and it won’t be our last.

Enjoyed our weeklong early summer stay at Hillside Hideaway. Perfect for our family of 4 as a home base while doing all the fun things around the area. Beds comfy, everything very clean, living room couch large and comfortable, beautiful views from deck. Lots of family game nights around the large dining table. Hosts quick to respond to the occasional question. Grilled supper most nights, well equipped kitchen. Saw moose and mule deer daily in the lot across. Small hot tub nice for relaxing sore hiking muscles. No washer/dryer available in rental, which we knew when we booked. The laundromat in town was close for a couple loads of laundry, was in and out in a little over an hour since they had industrial machines. Less than 5 min ride into Grand Lake with great restaurants and ice cream shops (we liked firefly pizzeria, one love rum kitchen, sagebrush, miyauchi’s ice cream). Nice small town feel without being too touristy like Estes Park. Great hikes near by, we did Cascade Falls, Adam’s falls and the east lake trail around shadow mtn lake. Moose mini golf super fun. Cute small grocery store 3 min away for necessities, larger traditional one about 20 min away in Granby. Lakes and surrounding mountains beautiful despite recovering from the past wildfires. Would absolutely stay here and in this area again!

Great property. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Great proximity to activities and outstanding place to just hang out. Highly recommend!

This was a great location and a beautiful home! It was very easy to get into town to all the great little shops and was only minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park entrance.
We had an amazing time and will recommend this location to our friends!

Grand Lake is amazing place. Next to Rocky Mountain National Park with lots of things to do. Only thing I would recommend is to cut the three trees down to get a better view of the lake. Thanks for having us!!

We enjoyed our long weekend at this nice property. It was clean, had all we needed, and was close to town. We were able to enjoy the Buffalo Bill day’s festivities over the weekend including fire works, lovely shops, beautiful lake, RMNP, and Allen Falls. Grand Lake is becoming my favorite place to visit.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay. The host was responsive. The place was exactly what we had hoped for. The neighborhood was quiet. We will be back for sure next year.

The previous reviews mentioned the furniture was dirty and broken but the very first thing I saw as I walked up the stairs to the living room was a brand new, beautiful sectional. It was very comfortable and they had blankets to wrap up in as well behind the couch. Everything was clean and well decorated. We will definitely be back!

Great house
Very nice house, superbly located for Grand Lake. Well appointed, comfortable beds and a nice hot tub as an added bonus. Lovely peaceful setting we even saw a deer having its breakfast just to the rear. The only slight improvement would be for the owners to add the option of window coverings for the very highest windows, as the bright light in the mornings made early starts inevitable.
Overall though a really lovely property and we would return and recommend.

We loved this property and the fact that the owners obviously do not throw out items left by previous visitors. The one and only compliant was the film around the chlorine float and the water line in the hot tub. I was scared to use it since it was obviously growing something. The area is beautiful; we loved the village of Grand Lake, and we hope to come back again and again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Enjoyed our stay and the home was charming. The sofas need cleaning as well as the kitchen cabinets.
FYI. The recliners were broken.

The cabin had a nice view into trees and out to Shadow mountain lake. Good communication with owners/property managers. The small hot tub was nice in the evening. We enjoyed eating and playing games on large dinning table.
Things that would elevate the stay:
-New furniture in family room. Sofas and chair are terribly stained and broken.
-Making sure kitchen has pans you can cook in. Also, no cookie sheet so we picked one up.

Great property with minor quibbles
Property is gorgeous with lots of amenities! Our only issues were that the instructions/welcome binder could use a bit more detail (ex. hot tub); also we arrived after dark and had a difficult time locating the correct house; the Maps directions took us to the wrong street. Not being able to use the laundry was a bummer (small kids lol) but we survived. Overall, great spot, very convenient and comfortable.

Grand Lake is a beautiful town, and the house is close to the downtown area and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The house was clean and charming, but the furniture was worn out, especially in the living room. You couldn't walk past the loveseat without the footrest ejecting, and it was tough to get it to fold back in. The cushions showed a lot of wear and didn't look clean. There were only four towels and washcloths for our five-night stay with four adults. This would have been ok if there were laundry facilities on-site, but there is not. There is construction next door, and it kept taking up the entire driveway and having cranes bringing in countertops and materials that would beep for long periods. This is no fault of the homeowner but became irritating. We hoped there would be no work on the weekends, but they were there every day we were. I would check the status of the construction before I booked. (Based on what was coming in, it looked like they are close to completion). With a few updates, this could be the perfect getaway.

The family adventure was for a birthday celebration for a friend. The cabin was easy to find and close to the village of Grand Lake. Lots to see and do. Hot tub was smaller than expected, beds were comfortable. We felt the living room furniture had excessive wear and was not comfortable. The cushions on the deck were well beyond their use and should be replaced.

Clean excellent location. We saw a moose on the road during the early evening. House next door is under construction but the workers were quiet and friendly. We had a wonderful time at the property and loved our fishing trip with kirks fly shop. We're Colorado locals from Arvada so it was a great escape from the city.

The cabin is AMAZING! Grand Lake was certainly our favorite vacation spot to date. There were moose chilling in the front yard of the cabin, elk would come visit, and there was even a chipmunk that hung out by the house! The kids loved the hot tub and enjoyed the fun shops (especially moose fudge and ice cream) in the cute town down the road. We were lucky enough to be able to reserve RMNP tickets for one of the days we stayed. The owners even recommended a phenomenal hiking trail right in grand lake for us to do! Our ten year old and seven year old loved seeing Adam’s Falls!
We brought our canoe and kayak with us from Kentucky and the lakes around the area were perfect to paddle in. Everyone was extremely nice and very welcoming! There was some construction on the cabin next door, as the owners stated there would be, but it was not a hinderance at all. In fact, they had a golden retriever named Nova that loved snuggles and attention!!!
The kids asked if we could come back again and rent the same cabin! The board games provided were a huge hit with them, too!

Beautiful Cabin
We had a fantastic stay at the cabin. The owner was easy to communicate with and prompt. The cabin is beautiful and close to everything (town, hiking, lake). Had some snow so we were even able to sled down the street just up from the cabin. There is construction next door, so it does lack some privacy outside, but it was not a problem. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful views, wonderful place. Well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc. Easy access to Grand Lake, RMNP and Granby. My husband is really disappointed that the moose never made its appearance for us :) Read in another review that the garage wasn't available, so that was frustrating to learn just days before we were out there, especially with record-level snowfall expected (and received). We couldn't ever get the gas fire place to work. House next door is under construction with tight access due to shared driveway. Had to move vehicle for a truck delivery and construction workers.
