This was a fabulous cabin for my husband and me to get away for a long weekend! The location was convenient to enjoy the area. It was a cozy nook for us to relax. We loved it and plan to return!

Precious small cabin. Very clean and well kept and maintained. Beautiful scenery! Peaceful, quiet, but right at Lake Lure and five minutes from Chimney Rock. 20 minutes to Hendersonvile. So, close to lots of activities but not disturbed by them. Highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing and exciting vacation.

Nice and private on a non travelled street. All knotty toungue and groove walls and ceiling. Well appointed with a jacucci in the bedroom. Nice deck and sky exposure..

Nice cabin with a wrap around deck providing a view of the mountains. Three refrigerators, two TVs, DVD player with tons of DVDs, well stocked kitchen. The mattress is 13-1/2 years old and sagged toward the middle from both sides. We got about 4 hrs. sleep for two nights and left before the 3rd night which was included in the reservation. I was there for a 2 day cycling event but only cycled 1 day from inadequate sleep.

The cabin is beautiful. Absolutely perfect for two. It's clean, and well-equipped. The overall location is great. Parking is convenient. The only tension for me is that I wear a brace on my leg that made it cumbersome to manage the entry path and stairs, but by the 2nd day I was a pro! The property manager was very attentive via messaging. We suggested equipping the cabin with lanterns or candles since we had a pretty lengthy power outage after a storm. But we were able to manage well. The cabin even kept cool while the power was out, so that was a major plus. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice clean. Loved the fresh flowers. View was great. Close to Asheville and Hendersonville.

Check in was a problem , cabin wasn’t ready. Had to call housekeeper and she didn’t have our stay scheduled ! She came took care of the issue.. hard to get in touch with owner he only communicated via email and internet was weak outside of the cabin. In future would suggest them to mention access is a problem if handicapped or elderly due to excessive steps and loose gravel all downhill.

Everything was great! The fan that was mentioned in other comments worked good...just needed a little help getting started,

Husband and I stayed four nights in the Chestnut Cabin. The cabin is perfect for two, nicely appointed and in a convenient location to the lake and Chimney Rock. The view from back deck is lovely. The owner was very responsive before our visit and we had no issues during our stay. We were a little confused when we arrived as there is no driveway. The "private car park" is on the road and what the picture does not show are the wood and stone steps leading down to the white gravel walk. The wood and stone steps were a bit slippery when wet as it rained 3 of our 4 days. At times the window A/C unit in the living room had a difficult time cooling the bedroom area. Having the overhead fan in bedroom working would be a bonus. All in all a fun stay in Lake Lure and the cabin was definitely a good find.

Overall had a great time staying in the Lake Lure area! Went to the Biltmore, WNC Farmers Market, Victory Kitchen, The Flowering Bridge at Lake Lure and many other points of interests. The cabin was almost exactly as listed. The air conditioner is in the living room is a wall unit to cool the whole place! Not very good planning for the best energy efficiency! The bedroom had a ceiling fan but the fan did not work! When I called about it, the host was out of town. Would have been nice to have a fan especially since the hot tub was in the same room! The hot tub was great! Made it worth the stay! The over all interior of the cabin was clean. We were looking forward to sitting outside to eat meals and relax but the deck and outdoor furniture was very dirty and full of cobwebs! Kinda disappointing but we made the best of the situation and found other thing to do! Overall it was a nice cabin to stay but just had a few glitches! Perhaps the owner can work this out for future renters.

We rented the cabin for a two day mini honeymoon stay-over on our way out west for a six week camping trip. The cabin was perfectly stocked, private and very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. A perfect location for visiting beautiful Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We might suggest a few more bath towels and bed pillows. We would recommend staying at this beautiful, private cabin.

Stayed at this cabin for our anniversary. Quiet and private neighborhood. Great place to eat outside on the deck or relax in the front. A bit rainy some days but after a long day hiking at Chimney Rock we enjoyed ourselves in the Jetted Tub. Was plenty of room for the both of us. Would stay here again. No complaints.

We loved the place. Very beautiful area with lots of friendly people. The A/C struggled to keep up but I am very hot natured.

Was very pleased with everything. The cabin was very clean and supplied. It's a perfect weekend getaway for a couple.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was all we asked for. Beautiful views, hot tub and easy in and out. We would go back!

we loved the cabin with its beautiful views. the water pressure and the hot water in the shower was a huge plus as well. the only issues that i would recommend are more towels for the bathroom. i would look at replacing the mattress in the future and the ironing board did not have a cover. we will be using this cabin again in the future for our LAKE LURE adventures!

Would definitely stay again when back in the area! We enjoyed the views, and short drive to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

We wanted a couple of relaxing days near Lake Lure and this cabin was perfect. Great location. Cabin was cute , cozy and clean. Road to cabin was fine too.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a very nice cabin in a quiet neighborhood. We were looking for a peaceful, restful get away and this was perfect. The location was convenient to both Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The cabin was charming and comfortable. Martyn was wonderful in communicating with us. We just loved it and highly recommend it.

My wife and I got married and New Year’s Eve and knew we were only going to be able to do a short getaway until Monday. That being said the property owner, Marty’s, answered my concern during the booking process quickly and assured me check in being late would be fine. They stay was wonderful and so much to do between Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Highly recommend for couple just trying to get a way or even a young or small family.
