We booked this house for our 4 Sons and their families to join us for a family vacation. The house was perfect for our group! Every morning and every evening we all sat outside and admired the gorgeous view.
The one piece of advice I would like to offer is to book the Chefs to come in and cook dinner. We stayed for 2 weeks and had them in 5 times - this still wasn't enough. Our Chefs were Emmanuel and Diego, and they were superb! Every meal they prepared an appetizer, 2 proteins, sides, and then desert. A few times we told them to just cook something authentic - they never disappointed. This was still less expensive than taking everyone out to dinner, and a lot more relaxing.
I saved the best part for last..... Camilo!! This man was incredible! Camilo was always a text message away, and always responded within a minute or two. Camilo booked our adventures, Chef dinners, transportation to and from the airport, and every time we needed a taxi regardless of where we were at or where we were going. This man just made our entire trip even better.
I exchanged money into Colones but it really isn't necessary, everyone and every place takes US dollars, and Visa.
The grocery store is literally at the end of the driveway. It is only a 2 minute walk, and has anything and everything one would want.

This was our second visit to Costa Rica and our first visit to Manuel Antonio. We stayed in Coco Beach Guanacaste last year. This area seems to be more touristy than Coco bch but the house and concierge made it an amazing experience. We had 6 guests, two adults and four teens. The house is even better than the pictures in person and Camillo was amazing. We had many activities and loved returning to the house afterwards. Everything is convenient. We did not rent a car. Most tours included transportation. We surfed, paddle boarded, rode ATV’s, fished and spent time at the beach and the pool. I highly recommend.

The house is excellent. The sunsets are amazing. Camilo is an excellent host that goes way beyond his normal responsibilities. He helped my sisters who were staying at another house. They were stranded and he turned a negative situation into a positive. We consider him family. Back to the house. It in a great location, high on a hill. Absolutely no obstructions to the bay and sunsets. This is now the house I'll will always rent when visiting Manuel Antonio.

Grande Vista was the perfect destination for our large family group with ages ranging from 4 to 70+. The house is perched on a hill in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood facing the most beautiful view of the Pacific. The floorplan of this house suited us well with three adult couples and 5 kids. The beds and furniture was very comfortable. The nearby Joseth Market is convenient but a bit expensive. We also shopped in Quepos.
When at Grande Vista, the kids spent most of their time in the pool, while the adults enjoyed our down time watching for scarlet mccaws and toucans in the surrounding trees. No monkeys though (a mixed blessing I think).
Our charming and professional host Camilo arranged several adventures for us, which usually included transportation and a meal. We had been in touch with Camilo back and forth via email for weeks to choose some activities so by the time we arrived we felt like we already knew him. He set up awesome tours including a catamaran ride where we saw two groups of dolphins, and a hike into the hills to a remote waterfall. All of the guides Camilo chose for us were very pleasant and accommodating to our big group and happy to share their deep knowledge and love of their country. We especially enjoyed a surprise visit to a spice and coffee market on our way home from the waterfall where we were able to purchase locally grown cinnamon, vanilla beans, chocolate, coffee. Camilo and Grande Vista are a winning combo! Highly recommend!

There was a total of 8 that stayed and we had plenty of room to each have our own space. The separate 2nd master downstairs was a great added touch. Not only was the home clean but the views are unbelievable! You could not ask for more between the proximity to shops and restaurants, the sunset views and star gazing while cooling off in the pool after an exciting day! Camilo was excellent at answering any questions and setting up transportation and excursions! We found that every one we met truly lived Pura Vida!

Grande Vista is absolutely beautiful and had more than enough room for our family of 6. Camilo was amazing at organizing a wonderful supper for us on arrival and answering any questions we had. The views and sunsets were spectacular and the little town was fun to stroll in. The only complaint we had was that it was right above the main street which could be quite noisy with motorbikes and tour buses - although we could not really see them.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this property. It has the best views likely of any surrounding area. The rear of the house overlooks the ocean from an elevation higher than the other homes in the area. The sunsets were picture perfect! Staff was amazing and helpful, especially our maintenance man Diego. He became our friend by the end of our trip. Our only complaints are that there was a page in the house binder discussing low wages of staff with recommendations of appropriate amounts to tip which totaled several hundred dollars on top of what was already paid for the house. We like tipping of course, but the amounts discussed made us feel as if we were also there to pay their wages on top of the house fee. We wish to have known this in advance as we hadn’t brought much extra cash. We don’t travel with bank cards and large sums of money for safety reasons. Also, it should be noted that the main road is right behind the house. Traffic will be heard during your entire stay. The master bedroom is on the side of the house that the traffic is on, so you will hear vehicles during your sleep as well. If you can get past the noise, then no worries! All in all, we had an amazing time.

I can't say enough about this home. It is in an absolutely beautiful location and maintained by some of the friendliest people you can imagine. It was more than we had hoped for and it was truly the highlight of our stay. There were times we just stayed home because there was not really anything that could match the comfort and beauty of the place. Camilo was awesome and more than accommodating. We would definitely stay there again in the future. Perfection. The most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

The location was wonderful! Jumping on a bus to the park, beaches or restaurants was 390 colones (be sure to have colones) or to Quepos.
The location was easy to walk as well. We all had a great time!

Exceptional property with magnificent view. The set up of the openness to the view and the downstairs bedroom with its own yard was perfect for our family. The location was great with a supermarket with everything you could want groceries, clothing, liquor, wine and a butcher shop! We had Chef Julio come and prepare our dinner and it was exceptional. Highly recommend to treat yourself!

From start to finish this was a great experience! Camilo was so helpful, the villa was gorgeous with amazing views! We had Chef Julio come 3 times and it was really great quality food! Our waitress was also so kind. Our group ages was 10 months to 75 years old and we all had a great time!

Manuel Antonio will always hold a special place in my heart. My family was celebrating our daughters graduation and due to always traveling with baseball and softball we wanted to go off the grid a bit where we could enjoy fishing, nature and family time. From the beginning of this journey I reached out on VRBO and immediately the Concierge, Camilo, responded with a helpful, kind and generous attitude. He organized the chef that came to our house (Chef Julio), who was amazing, all our adventures such as zip lining, inshore/offshore fishing trips, jeep rides thru the rainforest with Luis, and all of our transportation to and from the house. The house was perfect for our family of 6 and we enjoyed the market on the corner for all of our needs. This little village is adorable and the beaches are extremely close. We will definitely be back!!

The home, pool, and views were as beautiful as the photos. The convenience of the location to a local supermercado, restaurants, etc . . . where huge positives not obvious in the listing. I would definitely bring family or friends back again!

I had been to Manuel Antonio before and fell in love with this little town (and all of Costa Rica for that matter) and this home was everything my friends and I had hoped for, and even more because we had some fun little surprises upon arrival – 2 sweet pugs and 3 kitties! The pugs, Romeo and Juliet, were just precious and hung out with us the majority of the time. As all of us were dog lovers, they got plenty of cuddles we never got the cats’ names but we named them Palmetta 1, Palmetta 2, and Palmettita.This beautiful home is situated on a hill with luscious foliage and tropical plants with the most spectacular views and sunsets. The house is super comfy with a great working AC (important for all us Texas gals ). Camilo was our concierge, he was incredibly friendly and was very responsive whenever we had questions or needed help getting a taxi. We didn’t want to leave this beautiful home and we’ll definitely be back! Muchísimas gracias por todo!! Pura vida!!

Unbelievable view!!
This house was just totally awesome. The view was better than we’ve ever seen in any other place we’ve ever rented. The house itself was gorgeous, there were eight adults and we had plenty of room. We absolutely loved it !

First off the house sits up on the mountain (in the center of town) with a perfect view of the ocean, and the nightly sunsets will blow your mind. The house has three main bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom and two other bedrooms, a big kitchen, family room and most importantly the pool and external hang out area is amazing.
Once we made our reservation, we were immediately contacted by the management company who sent us a list of potential excursions. We zip lined, went ATVing and white water rafting ... all amazing

Overall I have only amazing things to say about the house and the area .. we had an amazing week ...

Great family vacation spot
Eight members of our family enjoyed an unforgettable Costa Rican vacation over the Christmas holidays thanks mainly to the comforts of Casa Grande Vista and the services of Camilo. The ocean views and the home's patios and decks to watch Costa Rica's amazing sunsets were much better than advertised. The home's location can't be beat, with plenty of fabulous restaurants located within a ten-minute walk, and having the grocery store located so close is positively priceless. Though everyone thought the beach was magnificent, many afternoons we choose to relax at Casa Grande Vista and cool ourselves off with cocktails and dips in the pool. We'll definitely make a return engagement.

Grande Vista is an understatement!
This home was truly the perfect getaway, complete with the best concierge and spectacular views. Pictures cannot do it justice!
Camilo, the concierge, was the most helpful and kind man. He truly made our visit, he was so available and quick to respond. It felt like we had our own local friend to help us get around, and find whatever we needed!
The home was even better than we imagined, equipt with all the amenities needed to enjoy yourself. It was kept very clean, and the maids were very sweet and efficient.
To our surprise, this rental also came with pets! Two adorable, playful little pugs named Romeo and Juliet kept us company throughout our stay. There was also the sweetest little kitty, who we named Mango due to her orange color.
Casa Grande Vista made the perfect home for our first visit to Costa Rica, we wish we could have stayed forever!

Absolutely beautiful home. Very comfortable for our family group of 9. Camilo was very helpful and quick to respond to all of our last minute requests for excursions and last minute car rental cancellation. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Absolutely amazing
This property is like living in royalty! The manager, Camilo, was the most attentive, informative person I’ve ever dealt with and I have been to multiple properties around the world and this property ranks #1. We had one of our kids get injured and they had bandaids delivered to the property. This is just one of many examples of the above and beyond kind of service we got at this property. Beautiful rooms throughout and a beautiful pool overlooks a view of paradise (not to mention the highest view in Manuel Antonio). If this is the location you want to be in, then this house is a must!

Perfection
We were two families - three boys and four adults. The home was phenomenal. The pictures can't do it justice. In addition to the stunning views and open air living, we loved being so close to great restaurants. Camilo, our concierge, was fantastic. He booked the best tour companies for our five-star excursions, including mangrove kayak, zipline, waterfall tour, canyoning, catamaran/kayak and river rafting. He answered any text immediately and was so accommodating, moving things around for us and giving us general advice. He arranged private chefs, Alejandro and Elejier who made us fantastic meals. The home was so great and the chefs were so great we stayed in three nights to enjoy the amazing meals, relaxation and beautiful sunsets. We watched macaws and toucans from the patio. 9 nights was not enough.
