The owners are so nice. This property is very clean and as advertised. We came in to town to spend Thanksgiving with our student at MS State and attend the Egg Bowl. Its only a 30 minute drive from Davis Wade. We would certainly stay here again. Thank you to the owners for sharing their property with us.

We stayed on this property for Homecoming weekend/PGM Family weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased. The home had everything we needed, the surroundings were beautiful and the homeowners were very kind and welcoming. We wish we had more time to stay there to explore and just sit out and relax by the pond. The commute to the school was very easy and worked perfectly with our schedule. The home was super clean and spacious, had everything you could ask for (we even did our sons laundry). I highly recommended this place for a family gathering or a weekend get away for golf or any MSU sporting event or activity. Thank you both for the amazing accommodations.

This was more that we could have hoped for. The cabin was perfect for our son and his 2 young children 6 and 4. Access to the pond and the fun toys was a huge hit.
The cabin itself felt like HOME as soon as we walked in and was incredibly comfortable. One bath did not create any issues for us.
We loved our visit with the owners and they went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and enjoyable. They succeded - we will definitely look to stay here again.

We stayed for a weekend so we could go to a Mississippi state football game. The cabin was amazing! Everything about our stay was perfect. We will definitely stay there next time!

It was a great place for us during a gameday weekend visiting family. The rain hindered our use of the pond, but it was still great to sit on the porch and relax. Quite a few deer around one evening. A good layout for a family, but will need to be good at sharing a bathroom!

This is a wonderful cabin in a peaceful setting that exceeded our expectations. The location is convenient to Old Waverly, MSU/Starkville, Columbus. We were there for a football weekend, so we were unfortunately “on the go” our entire stay. We would love to return soon to just “hang out” and relax a few days as our only complaint was our trip was too short.

However, though private, it is only a few minutes from shopping and restaurants. It is well maintained and I recommend it without reservation, so make one!

The owners are very nice and were available next door if needed. Our group ranged from 13 to 80 and all loved the place and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The home is cute and cozy. The view of the pond in the back is very pretty. The screened porch is heavenly. There was plenty of space inside to cook and enjoy a family meal. We had all of the dishes and pots and pans we needed. They even provided a couple of Keurig coffee pods to start us off. There were 5 in our group and one visiting and we all were comfortable. There is plenty to do outside at the cabin & we brought board games to play indoors. This would be the perfect place to bring a good book and sit on the porch swing or in an Adirondack by the water to read. We look forward to staying again if we get the chance!

Easy quaint rental. It is a family atmosphere because you are near the owners. They had the property in wonderful order- even a fire pit with wood. Private space off the beaten path. We cooked in for breakfast and enjoyed the peaceful setting.

Beautiful & Peaceful
What a wonderful little house with beautiful views and a fun little pond to explore. We loved the screened in porch with rockers and swings and my little one loved exploring outside and watching the fish jump in the pond. Very comfortable and clean. The hosts were wonderful, they got us checked in and while we didn't see them again, they were close by if we needed anything and very gracious hosts. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful place with great scenery!

Amazing!!
This was a great place to stay!! My work partner and I traveled from out of state to work at a job site in Alabama. We didn't want to stay at a hotel for the 2 weeks we were there. We found this property just 40 minutes from the job site. Thad and Judy were great hosts. The cabin was super clean and in a very nice location. We went fishing in the pond almost every night. We will definitely be staying there again whenever we come back.

Exceeded our Imagination!
Perfect in every way possible. All 5 beds were Extremely comfortable, entire cabin super clean, TV was fantastic, Well Appointed and stocked with every pot pan dish or utensil you could possibly need. We fished in the Private Pond and caught lots of Huge catfish and bream, rode the canoe everyday, built fires in the huge firepit everyday and enjoyed family time around that firepit until late in the evenings. Judy and Thad are so amazing, so loving, and have a true heart for Christ that shows in all they do. You will be Blessed beyond measure to spend time in their guest cabin. (We hosted our family Thanksgiving here this past week and the entire property was just perfect.)

Always a joy!
For us, the location of this cottage is a perfect proximity from the “hustle and bustle” of MSU. We enjoy attending football games and other events on campus, but we also enjoy getting away from it all and feeling like we are on a little vacation! The property is always clean and ready for our arrival, and the communication with the owners is superb. The screened porch and pond add the perfect serenity!

Just like Home...only better!
We can’t wait for our next visit to this peaceful and perfect cottage. The commute to MSU campus was easy, but we loved the feeling of being “away from it all” once we arrived back at the cottage each evening. The owners are the nicest people, and we felt right at home. The home is stocked with everything needed, and the comfy couch and access to all the sports on tv were an added bonus for my husband! We enjoyed our coffee on the screened porch while looking out onto the pond. This gem is on our calendar again...and again!

Fun spring break get away!
We LOVED our stay!! The property is beautiful, the cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked with cookware. Our kids ages 9-16 loved the canoes and fishing. We WILL be back!!
