Location is very good!!!

Very very dirty flat! The bathroom wasn't cleaned at all before we entered ( we found even a lot of hair in it).

Staying in this apartment during summer is not something I would recommend. Even though there are 2 air conditioning units inside, they do not work properly and are probably 20 years old. We couldn't sleep due to heat. Furthermore, the apartment owner didn't put the batteries inside the remote control devices so we had to switch batteries when we wanted to, for example, turn on the TV, turn on the cable, turn on the AC, turn on the AC in the bedroom. This was even suggested to me by the owner himself when I arrived, to switch batteries when I need to turn on a device. I also feel that we were not provided with enough blankets (just 2 bed sheets for the four of us), so some of us slept uncovered. Not to mention the lack of toilet paper, just 2 rolls for 2 days for 4 people is a bit stingy.

The location is great- everything at your doorstep.

Where do I start? I really don’t know how this apartment got above a 9 on reviews. It was dirty, AC didn’t work at all, plumbing had issues in the bathroom, washer was broken and leaked and flooded the kitchen. I met the owner, who was punctual and nice. I threw a small load of laundry in and walked out. A minute later I returned because I had forgotten something- I found the kitchen floor flooded with water (leaking from the washer). I had to run back out so I immediately informed the owner hoping to catch him before he got too far. About 20 minutes later he replied asking me to go back to the apartment- I couldn’t. I was too far and had young children with me who walk as fast as snails. He ended up going back to the apartment himself an hour later to check it out. He offered me another apartment, which would have been a huge hassle, but I said I would move. He told me there was all sorts of things clogging the washer (not possibly from us!). He said he fixed it and it work now. I believed him. I returned to the apartment several hours later. The first wash was finished and I put in another wash. This time it was worse. Water was all over the floor! I spent hours of my evening cleaning it up and ringing out my soaking wet clothes! It was a nightmare! This was not the way I wanted to spend my vacation. Plus, i had small children to tend to. On top of it all, the AC wasn’t working at all! It was so hot in the apartment! Opening the windows didn’t help and besides there were tons of mosquitoes and my kids had already gotten bitten so many times. I wrote to him at 10:30pm telling him about the problems and politely requesting a refund (I was sure he would never agree). He asked me why I didn’t contact him at night. I was trying to be polite by not calling him in the middle of the night- plus, what would he have accomplished by me calling him so late? Was I supposed to move my tired and sleeping kids at 11pm? He told me the washer was working and I believed him.

Near restaurants and shops. Reasonable price. Right in the city centre and easy to find.
