A lovely guesthouse in the heart of Bowness -on-Windermere. Very friendly owners that welcomed us on our arrival and made us feel at home. Extremely clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The location is fabulous, couldn’t be any better! We dined out during our stay and it was only a short walk to all the restaurants, shops and attractions. Would definitely recommend staying there and will definitely return.

This is the second time we have stayed at Bowness Guest House. We loved it so much last time m, we didn’t need to look for anywhere else to stay for our second trip to Bowness! The rooms are lovely, clean and equipped with everything you need for a short stay in the Lakes. The guest house is a short walk to Bowness and Michelle and Bernard were friendly, welcoming and able to advise us on where to eat/ drink/ trails to walk etc. thank you for another lovely stay :)

The property was very modem and extremely clean, the room we had was spacious, very light and airy, modern decor, very comfortable, the owner was lovely, great location, can’t fault it.

Made very welcome by owners. Great facilities in room, comfy bed, lovely shower, spotlessly clean. Location is perfect, just a 2min walk into town.

Location brilliant,Michelle was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of advice on where to go, the room was perfect, comfy bed, brilliant shower and spotlessly clean, this room was dog friendly and ideal with its own parking space and entrance to the back of the property had a great stay would definitely recommend,

We stayed in Room 1 with bay window and sofa. Very comfortable kingsize bed. Bright, clean, spacious room, recently decorated. Fresh water left outside room every morning and plenty of tea, coffee, milk. Quiet location but not far from centre.
No fresh cups over 3 days but we could have asked if we wanted them changed. Shower temperature and pressure sometimes fluctuated, suspect when other rooms were using shower. Shower door didn't fully close but no water overflowed. Maybe one or two hooks in bathroom would be a good idea to hang damp towels. Parking on street is tight but it's free!

2 night stay for 2 of us. On-street parking close by. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and gave recommendations for locally positioned bars and restaurants. Would definitely return for another stay.

My family and I had a lovely stay here, highly recommended! The location is perfect and accommodation was lovely. Very clean and spacious in the Premium King Size room. The owner was very friendly and helpful giving us advice on where to go. Would definitely stay here again! Thankyou! X

Ideal for our weekend away! Property was spotlessly clean, well furnished with lovely large room. Hosts were lovely and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

Michelle and Bernard are fantastic hosts - we have stayed before and it was as good as last year. They couldn't do enough for us. Location is fantastic and so easy to get to and from all the attractions.

Parking could have been an issue although managed to get street parking a short distance from accommodation. Stairs to top floor were quite steep and narrow.

No breakfast offer , but the stuff who suggested the breakfast was nice.
The key just a little bit hard to use.
