We had a fabulous and memorable vacation with our children. The beach house was beautiful with spectacular views of the ocean. We loved that it was steps to the sand. We will return again.

Our first family Vacation with our first grandchild. The place was perfect, easy access to beach, nice outdoor shower, great amenities, very clean, 2 very relaxing decks with perfect views. Summerplace East shore was beachy and met all of our vacation needs and more!

This house is steps from the beach and has a large outdoor area with adequate seating for dining out. There are 2 outdoor showers which really helps if you have young children. We just took the shampoo outside! The house is older but spacious and very clean with all of the amenities you will need. Air conditioning works great! I would definitely recommend.

Great Family Getaway!
Great getaway property ... family friendly, quiet, peaceful and well equipped. The owners are super and there when you need them. Very welcoming and nice. Would most definitely rent again.

Perfect Emerald Isle experience
Summerplace East was wonderful and ideal for our two families of four. Marge was very attentive; all check-in/out instructions super easy. House is well-stocked and the outdoor shower is great. We will definitely be back!

Perfect!
Our party of 5 adults fit perfectly with extra room! Right on the beach with a short drive to stores. It was very quiet and the washer/dryer was a big plus! Communication with the owners was quick. Very accommodating! The beach was not crowded, it felt like we had a private beach! Beds were very comfortable and both decks were very roomy with great views on the second floor! Three bedrooms faced the ocean too! We will be back yearly!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Property was very clean, owner had linen out in each room upon arrival. Had all dishes and appliances we needed. Beautiful Ocean views. Would recommend this property to anyone and may look for this property again.

This house is very clean and nicely decorated. I always try to leave places cleaner than I find them but the only thing I found to clean up was the game box! I think this would be a tight fit for 9 people.

Visiting brother
Stayed at this place because brother is serving as a Marine at Cherry Point. Wanted an affordable stay on the beach that he could leave base. Was perfect for the amount of people that came with. Had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that were perfect! Thanks Amanda.

Picture Perfect
What a wonderful experience this was. First vacation this year for any of our family and this was the perfect place to gather. The property was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Amanda Haskins, the property owner is great to work with and made sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for a place to spend some great rest, relaxation, and beach time —- pick this one. We are talking about maybe renting both sides for a full family reunion next spring.

Excellent ocean front accommodations
Summerplace met and exceeded all of our expectations. Our two families were very comfortable in the home and loved the 2 porches with ocean views. Each room had a smart tv, which is a plus when traveling with children. Summerplace has lovely beach decor, great bed sizes, comfortable mattresses, and is extremely neat and clean. We will definitely stay again!

Amazing Oceanfront for Thanksgiving
We had a great stay at Amanda's place and really enjoyed the convenience of the oceanfront house. The views were amazing and the beach access during the good weather was even better. You won't find another oceanfront house for this good of a deal on the island. House is a duplex and even with a full house next door we didn't even hear the neighbors. Only small issues we had were the direct sunlight the bedrooms get in the morning made it difficult to sleep in, blackout shades would help. Also, the upstairs bathroom was a bit small but worked great for my little ones. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was the perfect size for our group. The interior has been recently renovated and it is beautiful. I was concerned that the sofas would not be comfortable (from picture) but they were great. The decks were ideal for a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening - we are already trying to plan another trip!

Emerald Isle Gem
We picked Emerald Isle and Amanda's place for our annual girls trip and think that this is where we will be coming back every year - the place is older but has been renovated and updated to perfection. Not that we used them - but there was a flat screen v in every bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was beautifully decorated. you can see the ocean through the windows - but coffee and happy hour outside on the decks was a big treat. There were guests in the adjoining unit but we never heard them. great place -

Home at the Beach
Summerplace East is a very homey place and Amanda is a great host (she put up with my craziness!) The house was very cozy and we all loved walking out onto the deck and right on the boardwalk and only a few stairs to the beach. The beds are very comfortable and there are many extra pillows to use. Our special needs son was even able to move around the house easily. My only concern was using the laundry facilities at night as there wasn't light from the stairs to the laundry door, but we used a flashlight, otherwise the place was perfect and I hope to use it again next year. Thank you Amanda!!

Summerplace East is our new favorite place!
This was our second time renting in Emerald Isle and we had a spectacular week. The home was bright, updated, clean, and extremely accessible to everything we needed on the island. Amanda is wonderful to work with and was available for any questions throughout the week. The house had everything we needed while traveling with our 3 kids. I can’t say enough about how stellar an experience this was for us. Thank you for making our youngest daughter’s birthday week a huge success (and thank you for the delicious brownies!!). We cannot wait to return for another restful and fun family vacation.

This was a well-cared for property. We felt at home. We did meet the owners, who were very nice, and they accommodated our needs when we arrived early (we had a 3+ month-old). We had a very relaxing week of vacation!

Emerald Isle summerplace heaven
We have stayed in this house every year for approximately 25 years and continue to love it! The most recent new owners Amanda and Rick have done wonderful things updating everything! It’s a great place for family gatherings. Weather, house, beach, ocean and stars at night were just perfect! See you next year!
