Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en Sol de Minca, me gusta mucho su filosofía de cuidado del bosque, tiene unas vistas muy lindas y las cabañas son construidas con principios de permacultura, son muy cómodas y con muchos detalles, el balcón está al nivel de las copas de los árboles por lo que se integra muy bien al bosque. El desayuno es bueno y completo, con varias opciones.

El internet estaba fallando, pero es por la empresa que presta el servicio y por la zona que es apartada. Es buena opción llevar un libro y escuchar a las muchas aves que hay en el sitio. Hay mucha tranquilidad en el hostal, pero la cabaña está cerca de la carretera que llega a Minca por lo que se puede oír el ruido de camiones y motos, mejor llevar tapaoídos.

Beautiful eco lodge with stunning surroundings and great views. Frank and Nazly are wonderful and know you by name. Yoga was great! Breakfast DELICIOUS - the best options I’ve had since travelling for 18 months :-) Great menu also for lunch/dinner.

location is awesome. lots of gorgeous nature around, beautiful jungly paths in the woods leading to other hostels or just further into the woods, quite magical. nice views, also from the hostel. dinner and breakfast were delicious, breakfast included shots of 3 different homemade fresh juice mixtures. health > 9000. very eco-friendly place. nicely built houses, bamboo everywhere. comfy mattress and pillow in the dorm.

the 6 bed dorm is a bit small and on the side of the building that's facing towards the road, which is further down and almost not visible, but the noise of the motos and cars, adding to the fan noise, was a little bit annoying later in the evening. no big deal in the end, i also had an exhausting day on the road. and at least for my bed (bunk bed, i was up), there was no shelf or some space to put my stuff within arm's reach. ended up putting it next to me on the bed, which was fine.

A beautiful ecolodge nestled in the hills of Minca. The family suite was spacious and comfortable. We loved hanging out on the balcony relaxing in the hammock and admiring the view. Breakfast was quite good. Frank and Naz were very friendly and attentive. The walk to Minca is 1km along a forest trail.

Everything was perfect!

Very clean, the personnel is super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and surroundings couldn’t be better. The yoga room is amazing and the food is really nice as well. The owner build everything with his family which contributes to a cosy vibe + it shows a lot of attention for detail. Our expectations were very much exceeded!

The dorm doesn’t have curtains so be prepared for that, but other than that everything was perfect!

We were not sure what to expect and everything exceeded our expectations. The location can't be beat with a great view , quick cut through to town of Minca (about 15 min walk), surrounded by lush vegetation. The food was a highlight- even if you don't lean gluten free / vegetarian don't worry - the food is so amazing you won't notice (there is also chicken and eggs so not vegetarian just leaning). We kept saying these were the best meals we had, and you feel great too. Homemade kombucha - just amazing. We had the family unit - very comfortable beds, no bugs in sight. I don't know how the compost toilet works precisely but it was very clean and doesn't smell at all. Finally - the staff - they went above and beyond arranging all types of transportation, explaining the philosophy of the family / eco lodge and educating us on on the region. Feels like a retreat you don't want to leave!

Everything was great. Only improvement is the single bed in the family unit had a bit of a thin/saggy mattress. Could be replaced with same type of mattress as the double beds, which were a dream.

The food was delightful and there were plenty of birds. I loved the attention to the history of the land and the indigenous peoples who the owners respect and employ. I was in Colombia for two weeks and was looking for peace and quiet and birds and this spot had it all. I saw at least 50 species around the grounds and the short trail to town.

The highway is not far away and during certain times of the day noise from trucks and motercycles was a bit of a bother but overall it was a peaceful and pleasant place to stay. The highway noise almost stopped completely by bedtime which was a nice way to end the day and I got all the sleep I needed. Although I am 76 I am in excellent shape, (sprint-triathlons) and the rough terrain and rocky trails could be a challenge for the unfit. I searched for and found a good hiking stick that I carried everywhere and recommend that for all.

Perfekte Lage, wenn man Minca besuchen möchte. Der Weg nach Minca ist nicht weit. 1-2 weitere Wegweiser wären hilfreich. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet und man hat genügend Platz für all sein Gepäck. Moskitonetz gab es auch. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Am zweiten Abend haben wir allerdings 1h auf unser Getränk gewartet und 1.5 h auf eine Pizza. Man sollte also nicht so hungrig sein, wenn viele Gäste da sind. Zeit hat man ja im Urlaub.

Da alles sehr offen ist, würde ich keine Wertgegenstände im Zimmer lassen.

Lovely retreat just outside Minca where you can disconnect and enjoy nature. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great as well.

Sol de Minca es un lugar creado con amor, consciencia y respeto por el territorio. Las instalaciones son hermosas, la familia y staff son personas cariñosas y atentas. Es un lugar mágico y armónico en el que cada detalle está pensado para permitir la conexión con la naturaleza y con las personas. Eternamente agradecida de haber pasado por ahí y espero poder volver!

False advertisement at it's best, this location is dark, no where near Minca. I arrived at night and they did not even have a light outside so people can actually see where they are going. There are about 50 steep steps to get to the place, which I did not intend to climb in darkniss. Mind you they did charge my credit card.

Beautiful property. Very nice location, gorgeous views and flora.

Lots of steps, but not really an issue if you are able to walk steps.

The location was spectacular; dreamy; like being on top of the world. It enabled us to feel closer to Mother Nature. The accommodation was very clean; the facilities were top class; the staff were super attentive; the breakfasts provided were healthy.

A pure joy to stay at Sol de Minca. Most relaxing atmosphere you can find, completely surrounded by nature and lovely souls.

Beautiful place immerse in the nature, amazing views from the room and the restaurant area overlooking the sunset. I loved the outdoor shower! The place is very peaceful, really recommended if you enjoy being in touch with nature

It’s a little walk to the village, easy to walk during the day, would probably recommend taking the bike when it’s about to get dark.

Be aware that the property is a 20 minute walk (uphill and often hot/humid) from the restaurants in Minca. This isn’t negative perse and for many can be viewed as a benefit. The scenery is gorgeous.

Wishing we were a bit closer to the town. Food was a bit too healthy - maybe have a few kid options.

All the facilities were super nice and really aligned with the land, respectful of the landscape and the permaculture principles. The owners were around, reliable and very helpful.

Most amazing accommodation and culinary experience in Colombia! The hospitality and friendliness of the owners, the unique and beautiful bungalows and bathrooms in a perfect natural surroundings, the tranquility of listening to nothing but birds.....all have made our family's stay at Sol De Minca priceless, really recommend!

We liked everything! If you happen to hav a heavy suitcase just let them know and they will help carry up to the bungalows.

This was my favourite place in all of Colombia. I felt welcome, safe and relaxed here. Our cabin was wonderful with a view to admire the community reserve and Santa Marta in the far distance. Everyone was super friendly and the restaurant served great original local meals.

Nothing, really. During the day we could hear the road which is beneath the cabin in the forest (still far away) but there is only traffic during the day, so no problem to sleep at night.

Fabulous location, incredible views, amazing family and staff! Highly, highly recommended!
