Well-equipped, awesome location! We had a great time discovering Government Camp and Mt. Hood!

I love that this has everything that you would need for a vacation, even condiments and spices in the cabinet. We did a girls night and it was just perfect and cozy and we all slept very well in all three beds. This cabin holds so many more people than you would imagine.
3.0
The place is in a great spot, and the cabin is cute, good sleeping accommodations, etc. It was clean and nice upon arrival. However, the dining area, a corner booth, had the corner seat missing with long exposed screws, and the bench next to it broke in half the first night. Someone was supposed to come look at it during our stay but they never did. We didn’t have a place we could sit and eat while we were there. It was also pretty dangerous. I’m not sure how it was rented out in that condition.

We actually loved the cabin and the location was perfect! It was great for a small family! My kids could sled right in back yard which was a hit!

Small house with all the beds on the top level and the bathroom on the first floor. Not obvious from the posting.
Loved all the firewood and wood stove. Kept the house warm but necessary to have. Kitchen small but well equipped.
You could tell some renters haven't treated the house well. A broken bench and shards of glass on the floor greeted us.
Fine rental in a pinch and loved the location, but won't be back.

The location in Government Camp is great. The cabin is dark and lighting is poor. The photos are bright but this cabin is not bright, you need all the lights on during the day and they are very dull and don't do much to brighten either floor.
The cabin is not well kept and is full of cobwebs. The carpet on the main floor is dirty and stained and I doubt it has been vacuumed or cleaned for a long time. If it has, the vacuum doesn't work. The tiles in the kitchen and bathroom are dirty. I spilled milk on the kitchen floor and when I wiped it up, the paper towel was black. The bathrooms tiles are the same.
The bathroom sink is badly clogged and shower drains poorly. A Vacasa maintenance employee came to the house on our second day as the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower would not drain. The kitchen sink was fixed and the tech attempted to repair the bathroom sink but it still would not drain well. The blockages are deep in the drain pipe and he did not have the tools to remove them. The shower drain was clogged with so much hair he gagged when he pulled it out. His effort did improve the shower but not by much. He tried his best and we were grateful for his effort. However, for 13 days we used the kitchen sink for hand and face washing and brushing teeth.
My 10 year old fell of the bench in the photos. She fell backwards and almost struck her head on the bathroom step. I was facing her when she fell and she had been eating, not fooling around. I turned the bench over and it was missing one of two feet. This resulted in a height difference from one side to the other and caused the bench to be unstable if you moved. The Vacasa employee found the foot in a maintenance closet and reattached it. My daughter was scraped and had a bruised ankle but it could have been much worse. The bench is reflective of the cabin and its overall lack of maintenance.
The oven's temperature regulator does not work: 450f is the same as 200f so good luck cooking with it. The cabin had the most poorly stocked kitchen I have ever seen...the only seasoning is salt; no spices or herbs here so make sure you bring them with you.
The cabin smells musty so keep the windows open. However, the two largest windows on the main floor have no screens so you can't open them unless you want flies inside. Other small windows have screens but most are ripped and they are filthy.
Would I stay here again, NO!

Just off the main road running through the village of government camp, enough space for four persons

If you are looking for a place to sleep, and that is it, this could be for you. It was very dirty, cobwebs everywhere, stains on the carpets, Pots & Pans timed out, switch plate covers missing on electrical outlets. Location was great but that was it.

Stayed a couple nights to explore the Mt Hood area. The cabin offers plenty of sleeping areas and space for the family to relax.

GREAT place OVERALL, poor communication and (claimed/mismatch) internet usability
The property itself is awesome, particularly if you like sort of a "rustic cabin" type of feel, it's got that, and TONS of "little amenity touches", almost everything you could need/want to cook, etc.
On the minus side, the property-management company is VERY confusing to work with. They seem to NOT want to send messages in VRBO, about actual check-in information, instead using a one-off domain/site/email, to communicate that info (good luck if you don't have their domain listed as a "safe-sender"...).
Also, they claim to have "usable internet speeds (I'll use ethernet/WiFi, for simplicity, since I'm a s/w and h/w boundary engineer). They have about 7.5/0.5Mbps, on average. This means, that *maybe* you can watch an HD movie, a single one, but that you cannot have a video-conference, no-way, no-how, unless you're using your mobile-device-data, instead of the WiFi that's provided.
Anyway, I'd stay here again, BUT, I'd check WAY in advance, for the check-in info.
I'd also ask that they HAVE THE FRONT DOOR SHOVELED OUT, that seems like a no-brainer, to me, having to dig in enough to open the door, and grab the shovel, is a PITA, IMHO.

Great location, cozy cabin
Can't beat the location, the cabin is comfortable and well stocked and extra beds are always a plus for us. There is still a problem with low level heating, and Vacasa customer care is not great as always, but we had it fixed after all, didn't affect our stay much. The blow dryer is not working, I am sure it can be replaced. We will come back next year.

Cute place, but cold
Very cute place, cold if you don’t know how to start a fire. Couldn’t get hear to turn on except for in the “master bedroom”. Other then that, very cute and homey vibe.

Loved this Cabin
The cabin is very cozy, with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a bed in the common area. Plenty of firewood to keep everyone warm in the snowy evenings. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need, it also has floor heaters if you like to take off your shoes. It was a perfect getaway location, only one block to the Huckleberry Restaurant and a local brewery, with a general store that was surprisingly large within walking distance. We will be back!!

Anniversary Weekend
We stayed for a little anniversary weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had everything you need and the whole place was very clean. We would most definitely like to return.

Small cabin that feels bigger than it is
Plenty of space in this small cabin for a family of 4. Only issue was the bathroom, the light in the shower had no cover, the shower drain was clogged (luckily there was a plunger), and the shower curtain didn’t fit so water got all over the floor.

Spacious sleeping areas
We rented the cabin for five days and enjoyed our stay. The upper sleeping area could hold 6, plus a pull out couch!

Best 4th of July Ever!!
My little family stayed at this location for the 4th of July weekend. We were looking for a place to escape the noise and commotion of fireworks. It was perfect!! Super clean, well stocked with a full kitchen, towels, bedding and more. It’s walking distance from everything in town so we were able to enjoy the eats and brews and shopping without having to worry about parking. The local eateries are great and the locals were more than welcoming! We had a blast at the adventure park, driving the scenic byway and exploring the local trails. What a gift!! Check in and out was easy and clearly explained. We would definitely return. Thank you!!!

The cabin was lovely. All spaces were very well planned to provide comfortable beds for every one and all what was needed for a nice stay. The bed was so comfy and the place was cozy with a heating unit and all.

Fun anniversary get away
We rode Timberline and Meadows for our anniversary weekend and this cabin was perfect for us! Super cozy place to come back and relax in after a full day of snowboarding. We pretty much walked everywhere if we needed food or supplies. Very centrally located to everything we needed. Definitely recommend!

Out stay
The house is small but comfortable. First floor was clean but upstairs some spider webs in the bedrooms and maybe spiders too. Also other thing we didn’t like water doesn’t flow through bathroom easily and it gets collected. We didn’t like a house smell and also kitchen table seat was broken.
It is close to the skibowl and walkIng distance to the restaurants and bars. It has parking spot too.

Govy Camp cabin
Cabin was Cute & well equipped (minus internet). It’s in a small complex of units just off the main drag. A couple small things: we found fish hooks in the carpet which luckily just snagged on clothing, high activity area with late evening and early morning noise.

Unfortunate experience
Still terribly upset about this booking. Arrived at the property to find it hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests left. Beds and towels were still stripped in a dirty laundry pile at the door, no way this thing was sanitized to their “highest standards”. Even outside of pandemic times, it was too messy to try and suck it up for a night. We did not stay, and unfortunately had to stay a night in a hotel which I absolutely think is disgusting during this pandemic. We left the next morning ending our vacation short. It took THREE different days of persistence on the phone to finally get in touch with Brooke and her manager Jules at vacasa, we really appreciate them for their understanding and finally refunding our stay. VRBO just wanted to point fingers at vacasa but never actually got in touch with me outside of some scripted email from someone after things had finally been resolved. VRBO shouldn’t work with third party home renters if they aren’t prepared to help in situations like this. We will not be booking through VRBO again.

Clean, cozy cabin
Well appointed cabin that is a perfect Oregon experience. It was very clean - which is particularly important in today's world - and appears well cared for. While there were only 2 of us, the house would comfortably sleep up to 3 couples. The cabin is in right in Government Camp with quick and easy (walking) access to restaurants and shops. Timberline is only a few minutes up the road as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Home Base for Ski Camp!

Conveniently located, small and simple
This property is fine for a shorter stay. We were grateful it offered a one-night booking, which was ideal for our travel agenda. The neighboring house was ripping it up and pretty loud given the closeness of the neighboring homes. The only complaint is that the carpet on the main floor was uncomfortably dirty, we didn’t want to walk barefoot on it. Otherwise it was clean.
