Such a wonderful property and many trails on the property to explore! I am very grateful we had the opportunity to stay here. We stayed during Thanksgiving and it was just amazing. The host was very communicative. I 100% recommend.

The cabin is wonderful and beautifully furnished. The property is so peaceful with the creek in front of the porch. Enjoyed the trails and the river on the property and the dogs loved exploring. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect for outdoors and true nature. We had a "Wood Fairy" to visit us and the kids didn't have any screens on until movie time before bed.

Great cabin 15 mikes from civilization. Loved heading down the mountain to Blowing Rock & Boone for dining, shopping and local flavor. Very comfy!

We LOVE this cabin! It’s our second stay there and we’ll probably go back again. Very peaceful with a stream out front. The hot tub is great for sore muscles after hiking. No cars, people, etc. to be heard. Ms. Corrine is so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, so quite and peaceful. My grandbabies loved playing in the creek in front of house and the hot tub. There were lots of toys to keep them entertained too. We had fun at the River also. We will definitely go back again. Connie was easy to contact. Waterfalls close by this place is a small piece of Heaven on earth. Thank you for sharing it.

Our second stay at Bear Creek Inn. Just lovely

It rained the entire time we were there, so we didn’t get to explore the woods area like we wanted to, but the house had everything you could need. It was clean, good layout, plenty of games etc to entertain the children, and the woods around the home are just beautiful. The creek out front was so relaxing and my kids loved it. Fair warning - the internet was super slow while we were there (prob due to the rain), but I wanted my kids off their iPads anyway so it was no big deal. We left feeling very relaxed and chill. Would love to stay again! One request - a wheel on the gate would make opening/closing it sooo much easier 🙂 Excellent property!

So, you're reading reviews of properties you are considering. A particular property stands out to you and the reviews are good. Really good. And they've been consistently good for years... Can it possibly still be "that" good? In this case the answer is YES! What a stellar property. Exactly as described, the cabin is gorgeous, immaculately clean, classy yet rustic, well stocked, very comfortable and sits on a prime piece of land that we've barely scratched the surface in exploring. (We'll continue that on a future trip.) While the cabin was our primary destination, we did take a day trip into Blowing Rock (25 minutes up the mountain on a scenic lane) and another day we travelled over to Jonas Ridge for some tubing. (Excellent half day of snowy fun). The rest of the time we enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, front porch and grounds. We ate lots of meals in and had no problem preparing everything we planned in the well equipped kitchen. The many reviews stating the comfort of the beds and furniture were not exaggerating and the showers and water were great. (I have to believe that the entire cabin is on an R.O. system - the water was excellent). The only time we contacted the owner was a quick hello on arrival and a goodbye on departure. She responded kindly and quickly each time. Otherwise, everything was just as promised and we experienced no issues whatsoever. Our crew included two 40-something adults, an 18yr old and a 6yr old - and to a person, it was decided we HAVE to return!

This year we wanted to spend Christmas away, get away from all the hustle and bustle and just spend time as a family… Globe Valley Ranch was Christmas! I honestly could not have asked for more. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean. We spent time playing games, baking cookies and watching movies. The property is gorgeous, sitting on the front deck over looking the river, I never wanted to leave. The quietness was so welcoming. We didn’t get to explore much outside because of the windchill reaching records of minus 10. During that time Corrine checked on us to make sure we still had power and if we needed anything. Corrine was so responsive and amazing to work with. This cabin is honestly a hidden gem. Already looking at the dates we can book again when it’s warmer to explore Globe Valley Ranch. It’s a MUST

Everything was perfect from the cabin to the property. Definitely no cell service but I count that as a plus! We spent the days out on the river on the property and evenings in the hot tub. The river is located at the front entrance to the property and down the path. We just packed the car up with floats, drinks, and snacks and drove there. All in all….I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and hope to come back again soon.

We could have easily stayed a month. Very private, quiet, fully equipped, nothing anyone could want for. Sitting on the porch watching the wildlife, fireflies and chilling. The beds and furniture so comfortable and Showers are great Never turned on a TV ! Corrine was awesome and extremely helpful answering our many questions. We already want to plan another trip to NC just to stay here.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found everything we needed to cook and grill, play games, watch movies, hike, and soak in the hot tub. It was perfect for us. The cabin is lovely, clean, and well stocked for just about any need. We enjoyed driving into Blowing Rock one day. But most of our time was spent relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Staircase Mountain. We did not communicate with the owners at all but, luckily, there was no need since everything was just as described in the check-in information provided to us in advance.

This was a great cabin. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Hot tub on the back porch makes us want one for our house!! Most everything you will need is there. Whether left by past guests or home owners.

Beautiful cabin situated on over 100 acres. Creek right outside and medium-sized stream in very short walking distance ( still on property). There were multiple walking trails scattered throughout the property as well. We were lucky that no one was staying in the other cabin on the property so we had 117 acres to ourselves. No road noise, no city problems, just us in God's country. We had to contact the owner and he was courteous and responsive. Highly recommend for a great place to get together and have family time on your own slice of heaven. It's definitely off the beaten path and about 30 minutes from town, so definitely be strategic in your planning of food and other necessities. We will definitely return in the future.

The location of the cabin was very remote, in a national forest. No neighbors can be seen or heard, nor roads. Just nature! The cabin is very spacious and clean. The inside is all wood, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The cabin had everything that was needed. I would recommend this cabin to friends.

Very quiet and secluded ! This is a great place to stay if that is what you seek! A nice bubbling brook right off of the porch. The house was clean and stocked with salt, pepper and all essentials and was well decorated. We will stay here again In the future. We had a little trouble initially getting WIFI, we booted the router and bingo!

Overall we had an amazing week. Beautiful well appointed and confortable cabin that had mostly everything you would need for a relaxing vacation. Make sure you get your groceries before you check-in as area is pretty remote. Food Lion in Lenoir is the closest! Plenty to do around the cabin. We hiked several hiking trails within walking distance of the cabin, played and looked for cool rocks in the creek, walked to the river accross the grassy meadow from the barn, and picked wild berries while walking our dog. Getting in the hot tub was amazing and having s’mores by the fire outside was my youngest son favorite part of the trip. Make sure you drive through Anthony Creek Road as there is waterfalls views you won’t want to miss. Visiting the town of Blowing Rock is a must and the easiest and shortest way to get there is through Globe Mountain Road! Our favorite activities were our visit to Grandfather Mountain, zip lining with Sky Valley Tours and our ATV ride with Appalachian Outdoor Adventures! Having our morning coffee sitting on the porch and listening to the Creek was my husband and I favorite part of the day! If you want a place to get away from it all, this is the one.. no cel service but wifi is available. Communication with the owner was okay, but I would have like to have a faster response to some of my inquiries. Lastly, one word of caution; the Cabin is in the woods and there is ticks, we found about 10 on us and our dog during our week there and all when we were outside. Make sure you give your dog the tick/flea medicine before arriving and invest in some tick spray for you and your shoes/ clothes! Having had Lyme Decease 3 years ago, I can honestly say ticks are not to be messed with! Overall an amazing place for a family vacation! Thank You For sharing your peace of heaven with us!

We enjoyed our stay. Very privately located in the woods. Come prepared with staple goods and perishables to cook and eat while at the cabin as there are no big grocery stores or restaurants near by. Bring charcoal if you plan to use the grill.

What a beautiful place…complete seclusion. The cabin was well stocked and clean. Walking paths all over, space to ride bikes and go to the river by the field. The night sky was so clear and full or stars. A campfire after dinner was great as well. I can’t imagine a better place!!!!

What a wonderful find! The cabin was clean and everything we needed was provided. The beds were super comfortable and sitting on the porch listening to the creek with our coffee was a super way to start the day. Great communication with the manager - easy check-in and check out. Just a beautiful get away. Will definitely stay again.

The property is large with wonderful wooded areas, beautiful open field, and fun creeks. The house is a beautiful and spacious cabin. I still reflect on my mornings on the front porch sipping my coffee. We will definitely consider returning.

Black Bear Cabin at Globe Valley Ranch is an absolute paradise for your getaway. Very secluded, tranquil and peaceful. The cabin is amazing with everything you'll need. Sitting on the front porch and listening to babbling brook is so relaxing. Corrine was very helpful and easy to work with. We didn't want to leave and have already started looking at when we can come back.
