A great place for having fun and making family memories. From our 3 year old granddaughter to my 80 year old sister,everyone had a wonderful time. Everything needed for cooking meals was in the kitchen. The property was exactly as described. Hope to stay again.

This property was nothing less than amazing. The homeowner was the best I have ever encountered. He responds promptly, he was very attentive and accommodating the entire stay, his home was prepared with Xmas decorations and a tree. The home had a full kitchen of appliances, blankets, beds, cleaning supplies, etc. All I can say is this home met every expectation we had. If you have never stayed in this home you are missing out. My family and I will definitely be back to enjoy the summer festivities 2023 because we could not enjoy the outdoor activities and lake due to the weather. Thank you for having us

Fantastic time. Property is in a great location on the Lake. The owner is very responsive. Neighbors are great. Look forward to a return as our group of retired military get together one week a year to fish. We had a wonderful week. Large house we could gather or get away from one another

For years we went to OBX. This year we decided we were going to give #lakelife a try and man did it ever exceed our expectations. This house has everything you need and then some. Most importantly it has the space for our large family to be together but not on top of each other. The huge dining room table is an amazing feature. We were able to fit our entire crew of 16 all at once for each meal - very cool. The back deck is the perfect place to go chill out after a meal or while sipping coffee in the morning. The dock is incredible and is where we spent most of our time. The water amenities (kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, noodles, floats, etc) are a huge plus as it gave everyone something extra to do. We brought our own floating mat and I highly recommend that to anyone with kids because they will stay entertained on it for hours. We hit the local putt putt golf and ice cream shop and both were great. We got take out twice and the food was delicious. The fire pit is where we ended every night and is the perfect chill spot to wind the evening down. The ice maker is an amazing addition because it saved us from having to make daily ice runs. Alan is a wonderful host. He was super responsive and very helpful. We met him and his wife as we were finishing packing up and they could not have been more pleasant. The neighbors beside them are also very nice and a joy to talk to when we saw them. All-in-all I give it a 10/10, would recommend to anyone but especially those with larger families and already looking forward to re-booking for next year! Thank you Alan!

Our group of ladies had a great time at this property The lake is just outside the back door almost. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our large group. We recommend it!

We had an amazing week at lake Gaston. Alan was very helpful thruout the booking process with any questions I might have. The house was perfect for our family of 18. 10 adults and 8 grandchildren fit perfectly in the house! We would love to rebook this home!!

What a great week. We've been staying at Gaston and other lakes for about 11 years now and this was probably our favorite house. (OK, maybe a top deck to jump off of would have been the cherry on top but beggars can't be choosers). Great space, kitchen well stocked, tons of place to store things - no downside AT ALL to this property.

Our family of 9 adults and 5 kids stayed for a week and had the greatest time. House was clean and fit our needs perfectly. Alan was quick to respond to any question. My family hopes this property becomes available for our vacation next year. We love Lake Gaston and this was the best vacation ever.....

We decided this year to celebrate our son’s graduation with a week long lake house getaway! I am so glad we did! We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and clean, it had everything we needed. One of my favorite features was the lighting along the walls in the dining/living room! I would turn off the main lights and leave those lights on at night and it looked like it was straight out of a hallmark movie!! The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to messages! The neighbors were very friendly, we enjoyed our chats! We were able to get fire wood from the neighbors, so we could enjoy some s’mores and family stories around the fire which was one of my favorite memories from our trip! We borrowed my uncles boat for the trip but, ended up buying a boat while we were there! We stayed on the lake most of the time and enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and skiing! We had a wonderful time making precious memories!! We are definitely wanting to go back!! Everyone agrees this was the best vacation! Over the past 4 years my wife and other family and friends have vacationed in the Outter Banks this year we wanted to do something new by coming to lake Gaston and it was the perfect vacation a beautiful home with beautiful surroundings if you have a love for the water and outdoors lake Gaston is the place to be between the kayaks and paddleboat and long board we couldn't stay away from the lake my wife and I had never been kayaking before we enjoyed it so much withing 24 hours of returning home we purchased two kayaks for ourselves I would like to send a special thank you Alan for his gracious hospitality and for allowing to call his home our home for a week we had planned on bringing our boat bus wasnt able to due to it being in the shop for repairs Alan allowed us to rent his pontoon so we could still enjoy the lake this was an amazing experience and we loved every moment of it so much that we have booked again for 2022 and are very excited to go back thanks again Alan for all you did we cant wait to come back

We had a fantastic time -weather couldnt have been better- very relaxing - my kids said it was the best home find I found yet - We made great memories at the Lake & hope to come back again -

I brought my whole extended family (8 adults & 8 kids) for our annual family get together. According to my kids, it was the best place we have been to. It was so good that we have already booked it for next year. It has enough space so that you could find peace and quiet, even with a full house. We spent most of our time by the lake. The kids loved playing in the water, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. Even with the rain, the playroom upstairs and the huge covered porch gave plenty of space. There are tons of board games and movies. Super peaceful and relaxing week. A couple tips: 1) if you want to catch catfish, use a pool noodle rig with chicken liver and place them about 30 feet off the end of the dock. Every evening they were biting. 2) If there is something you really want to do, make sure you bring your own equipment, or confirm with the owner that it is available. Previous renters broke the pool cues.

We loved our stay at this lake house! This is my families 3rd year coming to Lake Gaston. It’s a traditional big family vacation consisting of my family, my parents, my siblings and their families, as well as my aunt and cousins family. This is by far the best, most accommodating house we have stayed in! Plenty of room for everyone. Easy access to the big part of the lake. Close to grocery store. Great communication with the owner!!! We are definitely making this an annual place to stay for years to come!!!

We cannot day enough how much our family enjoyed our stay at this home! The place was absolutely perfect for our extended family escape from 3 months of Covid quarantine. We brought 2 Grandmas who rarely left the front porch and had the time of their lives watching their children and grandchildren in the beautiful water! The place was spotless and we cannot wait to return!

This property was incredible! The house was clean and the layout made it easy for our big family to enjoy each other's company. We spent most of the time in the kitchen cooking or hanging out around the massive dining room table. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boat on the lake and had a blast around the fire pit. The wrap around deck and spacious backyard gave our two dogs plenty of space to play. Most of all, the owner, Alan, was unbelievably helpful throughout the whole process and responded immediately to any of our questions. Thank you, Alan for sharing your home with us and we look forward to coming back again.

This property was better than described! Plenty of water toys at the dock to keep busy. We all learned how to paddle board and kayak. The dock is in a large cove so there aren’t big waves from the power boats on the main lake, but lots of room to explore. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen had all of the items that we needed to cook for a crowd. The owners were quick to communicate with us before, during and after the visit. We enjoyed meet in them at check in. I won’t hesitate to recommend this rental or to come back myself. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This is an ideal home for a family vacation. We had family from virginia beach, suffolk, and texas. Plenty of room for all. You could not ask for anything better; fishing on the dock, plenty of water toys, paddle boat , good size porch, dock for swimming, firepit for roasting s'mores with the grandkids just to name a few. Alan is an outstanding owner who takes pride in renting his home out. I know we are all planning on coming back next year

This was everything we thought it would be and more. We loved the house and quickly saw it would be perfect for a future gathering of the entire family! We loved that there was plenty to do with the kayaks, paddle board and paddle boats as well as floats to just enjoy the water. We fished, swam, explored and just had the best week. Smores around the fire pit and the friendliest neighbors! Our dog swam for the 1st time and loved the lake as much as we did! We are already planning our next trip back! The owners are the best and they cared about our family! We can't wait to go back!
