The house has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time on a nice, clean beach. Close to good restaurants, but easy to cook your own meals. Plenty of comfy beds. Games and books for indoor fun. Great big covered porch looking out to the ocean!

There are a few minor things that need immediate attention. The main bathroom tub drains very slowly. In a 5 minute shower it was at the top of my ankles. The sink in the main bathroom trickles when you turn it on, even with hot and cold water on at the same time. There is one board on tue back deck that needs to he screwed down. It is right in front of the gate and is a trip hazard. The house could use several updates but I live in an old house so it reqlly didn't bother me, for some it might. I look at it like this, I eat and sleep in the house thats about it. I am there for the heach. The access to the beach is very easy and convenient. The owner communicated well and was even pretty relaxed on us checking in a little early as we arrived a little ahead of schedule. As far as the cleanliness of the house I will say that it could use a good deep cleaning. The things you expect to be clean were but all of the out of the way areas were dusty and looked like the cleaning crew just never touches. Overall we were happy witu our stay though.

This house was perfect for my family. We had a wonderful stayed. Had everything we needed. And the beach view was beautiful! Easy access to and from the beach. We will definitely be renting again in the future.

We were very disappointed in the house, considering what we paid to stay. It was a little unsettling to pull up and see a support beam with a major crack in it being held together by a 1x4. The master shower floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile, the back door handle is rusting and it cut my hand as well as my husband's. There are rusty nails sticking up out of the deck that we had to hammer down so no one else got cut. The margarita machine had mold growing in it, and most of the utensils in the drawers were dirty. As well as pans that were under the stove. One of the stove burners doesn't work, the coffee pot was caked in burnt grounds and I had to hand wash dishes the whole time because the dishwasher is in bad shape. When we got there the key box was wide open. Anyone could have been waiting for us inside. I did learn upon leaving that it is impossible to close all the way. The pictures/listing of the this house need a major update. I did get a small refund but only after the owner suggested I not say anything on social media.

This house has the most beautiful view, absolutely loved the Deck and how close the Beach is!! We were able to leave our tents up with no issues.The owner was very easy to contact and treated us great!! Can't wait to come back

Cute cabin! Needs TLC, but has everything you need.
This cabin was perfect for our family You can't ask for a better view. The walkover and water faucet along the walkway made going back and forth to the shore easy. The owners are making improvements, but truly it has everything you need to have a wonderful time. Lots of towels, washer/dryer, comfy beds, bunks for the kids, it had everything we needed. HEB is just a 20 min drive away and there are great restaurants along the way. The owner was easy to connect and communicate with during our stay. With some more TLC, this will be a true gem. In the meantime, it provided lifelong memories for our family just like it is.

July Beach Trip
The property was perfectly located on the beach. We enjoyed waking up each morning and being able to see the ocean. Overall, the trip was good. There were a few issues with the home. The lock box on the door for the key was extremely difficult to open. It takes several minutes to finally get the box open so that we could get in the door. Inside the home was clean, but there were several broken items in the home. The inside of the dishwasher was rusted and unsafe to use. The knob in the guest shower was broke and I cut my finger on it trying to turn the shower on. Other items like the blinds, light cover, and gate to deck were also broken. The home is in need of some minor repairs to so that it can be safe for all guests.

Property was not well kept. gate on porch was rusted and falling off.
we waited an hour to get into the property due to front door sticking and unable to open. Lots of weeds around property. We could not sit on the porch at night, although we took repellant we were eaten alive.

Location is great! Short distance to beach.
This property could be nice and probably once was but it has been neglected. It needs a lot of work on the outside and the inside. The grass was not mowed like the properties on either side which made the mosquitoes horrible. I feel like with the amount of money we paid it could have been a lot nicer.

We love this house in his State many times, it has a great view of the beach and the best deck you could possibly ask for. Great hp from Kent and just all around wonderful time!

Stress Relief with a Great View
Absolutely enjoyed our stay here during Easter 2022. It is an older building, but the view is spectacular. Everyone around us was friendly and laid back. Highly recommended if you are ready to be relaxed.

Great location!
We enjoyed our 4 days very much at the Enchanted Shell beach house! Holly and Kent the owners are wonderful and so easy to deal with. This place is all about location, location, location! The huge deck overlooking the ocean and beach were our favorite! Such easy beach access, right there, just feet away. What a wonderful time we had!

Great Location/Unresponsive Owner
The family all agreed, the location was great (right on the beach with a ramp to the beach) and the decorating of the home was spot on beachy decor.
We did have some major issues with cleanliness and broken or damaged items.
We were only staying for the weekend, so we took care of some of those items ourselves.
When we returned I emailed the owner to let him know our concerns, and to this date I have not heard from him. That is no way to gain confidence from your customer base.

Beautiful spot
The location was beautiful and the porch was amazing looking out at the gulf.
The house itself could use some TLC and we ended up buying our own small grill. The beds were extremely stiff.

Paradise on the Gulfshore
I had a wonderful experience with my family over the 4th of July week. The pictures posted, as beautiful as they are, don’t do the ocean views justice. Owner communication was prompt and cordial. I would happily stay here with my family again.

Beach front, easy access to beach.
This house is an older property, thus there are things that need attention and updating. That being said, it was sufficient for our needs and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching the waves. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The property owner was very prompt in communicating and answering questions. With a boardwalk straight from the house onto the beach, the access to the sand and surf was great. The wind was so strong that we never had a problem with mosquitoes.

Older but perfect
Home is definitely older but well kept. Mosquitoes are fierce on the driveway side of property. Wasn't expecting that bad! The view was amazing! Kitchen was more equipped than expected so that was nice! A bad storm made the door leak and a window in the bunk room. Overall a wonderful home and it was just right for a reunion with my husband's sister and children. Perfect for a gulf front get away.

Weather was horrible
Rained 2 of 4 days. Cloudy most of the day. Beach was very crowded on weekend when it was not raining. Our guests decided not to come down because of the weather.
The house is showing age. The door to the deck leaked during the heavy rain and wind. Doors were hard to open and close.

beautiful views
ok the view and location was amazing!!! the only issue we had was it was a bit dirty for the price we spent.. spending that much money i would of expected a bit nicer or at the very least more clean of a house. there was trash left outside which if fine i can live with that, but the dishes had bugs crawling in them. like so GROSS!! so we had to wash any dish before we used them and that made me afraid of how clean other things might be, but overall it was wonderful. we spent most of our time on the deck anyway so we didnt care too much how dirty the inside was. and thank god we brought our own cooktop/grill to use cause no way was i about to use that one. but i dont want any of that to take away from the location and how wonderful the back deck was/views :-))

Nice View Needs More Lighting
The property is in a good location. I did not have check in information such as Wi-Fi info. Or answers to my questions until the second day. I sent message about the hot water not working, and I went and bought lights to use outside as the plain little porch light was not enough to notice and there is no lighting on the stairs which made it challenging. The lower area under the house had one light that kept turning off while we're were trying to grill and unload. There were ants inside that got into everything I had bought for weekend.. There were a few dead roaches the kids pointed out in the living room. I messaged about the dishwasher just kept running still have not received a response about that and I checked out 3 days ago. There is a strong musty smell in the kitchen from a water leak I would guess. Also no response to the hot water issue... I would not rent from this person again. I sent a beachhouse twice a year generally and like to try out new spots... I have never had communication issues like this from any other rental.
