Our family has rented The Beach Retreat and other Shore Thing Vacation Rentals in Netarts, Oregon for many summers. The Beach Retreat has always been our favorite home. The remodel on this home has made it so comfortable. We absolutely loved it.

The house was a perfect layout with private bathrooms for every bedroom. Beautiful view of the ocean and bay, with quick access. So comfortable. Unfortunately, it’s a shared yard/fire pit area with the two neighbors, and those houses were rented out to a large, large group that was a bit loud. Not the fault of this location, just bad timing which is out of your control and the property managers control.
I would stay here again though. Next night the new group of people were fine and considerate.

This house is probably the best we've found in the area for multiple family use. We have shared this house with 4 generations for three years straight now and will keep coming back. With 5 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and 4 of those rooms having queen or king beds (the 5th is a bunk room) it works perfectly for 4 adult couples (Our parents, us, our kids and their spouses) and then the grandkids in the bunk room. I've stayed in multiple houses in this area and this is the only one, to my knowledge, with this particular bedroom configuration. It's just a staircase and walk across the lawn to the beach. With outside shower for sand, and a firepit in the grassy area as well as ample parking space, it really can't be beat. The common area is a bit small if you have a whole house full, but really, if the weather is at all decent, I'm not personally spending a bunch of time inside. The kitchen is great. The propert manager is extremely responsive if there is any issue that needs addressed.

What a beautiful home in the perfect location! Sitting in the living room watching the kids play on the beach is a pretty special experience! The views are perfect for sunsets and interesting sights all day. The house itself was outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful vacation!

This rental is great for a large group. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, which is amazing! The toiletries provided are a thoughtful touch. The bedrooms are peaceful, and the linens nice. I do think it's time to replace all the pillows since they were very thin and well used. Its also time to either rotate or replace the mattresses.The kitchen is lovely and there are plenty of tools, pans, pots, etc. The living room area has a great view of the bay, and the beach access is so easy. It would be nice to have some additional seating around the fire pit. We will absolutely stay here again!!

I have stayed in this house multiple times over the years, and this was the second time we have stayed in it since it was added on to. It works so well for our family as it has four big bedrooms with either a queen or kind size bed AND a bunk room with two bunk beds (4 beds). Every bedroom has it's own bathroom, plus a a half bath in the hallway. So 5 bedrooms, 6 baths. And the rest of it is open kitchen/livingroom concept. All right on the beach. It works really well for our group, which consists of my parents, my husband and I, our two kids and their spouses, and our 3 grandchildren. Love the yard and firepit and ample space. The house was clean and ready to go. And the property manager is pretty readily available for anything you need. We needed the outside foot shower turned on, as it hadn't been turned on from winter yet, and I called pretty late in the afternoon, and she came out the next morning to turn it on. I would absolutely recommend this rental to any large groups that want some equitable bedrooms for their party, and space to come together.

This house is on the beach - meaning you can walk to the beach just outside of the back yard. Not 50 yards, not just over the sand dune - it is on the beach which is wonderful. The variations of the sand between high and low tide, the ocean vs bay, and the wildlife made the views from the house very interesting.The house was very comfortable for the 4 couples, clean and well maintained. Lots of bedroom space, less living room/dining room space than expected. It was big enough for us in nice weather, but you would have had to use the dining room table if you wanted to do a puzzle.The area was quiet. We did walk to Oceanside and had lunch at the Oceanside Surf Company's small restaurant. Cafe and lunch offerings - much better than you would think from the outside.It's just a short drive to Munson Falls, Cape Lookout, Sitka Sedge Natural Area, and other areas for hiking.As you can see from our ratings, this was an excellent place to stay.

Beautiful house! Very clean! Right on the beach. Each of the five spacious bedrooms had their own bathroom. Wonderful open concept modern kitchen that was very well accessorized. The house is on piers so u do have to walk up quite a few stairs but once inside it’s all one level living. Great views of beach! Property manager was always a text away to help us with any questions.

Our family has been staying up and down the northern Oregon Coast from Pacific City to Cannon Beach for years, always on the lookout for great locations and accommodations. This home may be as close to perfect as we’ve found. Great location with easy beach access and plenty of room for an extended family of eight. Access to the loft would be nice for older children, but understand safety/liability issues. The sandbar at the mouth of the bay makes for gentler surf, making it less worrisome having toddlers and young children on the beach. While not a beach for combing, it’s wide, long and sandy. There’s plenty of combing to be had a short distance up the Cape Loop at Tunnel Beach and Short Beach. It’s a quick drive to Tillamook for any needs. This is a property we’d stay at again!

This is our second time staying at this house, and we would recommend it to anyone. Spacious bedrooms, individual bathrooms. Only thing I would say is that the common areas are smaller then other houses, so if you want a house that have multiple hangout areas, this one isn't it. This house is awesome for introverts who like their own rooms but also like occasionally hanging out together. We had a few maintenance issues that showed up, but based on the first time we stayed, confident they will get fixed. Quiet neighborhood, no thru traffic. We did plenty of crabbing! Management responds immediately to emails. WiFi in house is pretty good, cell reception iffy. Overall great place to stay at the beach.

I loved staying in this house with my adult children, their kids and my parents. We have stayed in this house multiple times over the years prior to it being added onto, but with less people and family configurations. When I found that it had been expanded I thougth it was the perfect house for all of us. It is really nice that it has FOUR bedrooms that all have at least a queen size bed in them, in addition to the bunkroom for kids. That is so nice when you have a bunch of couples in your group. Every single bedroom also has it's own bathroom, in addtion to another bathroom for common use. The rooms are big too, they didn't squeeze too much into tiny spaces. It is so comfortable and spacious. The large open kitchen and living room is such a nice gathering spot. And the yard and beach access is top notch. This is probably my new go to house for our annual family excursion to Netarts Bay. Loved it.
