We had a very enjoyable week in Ocean City, NJ. The property is on the block of the boardwalk, which is very convenient for small children. The property was exactly as we expected. As a pet friendly property we were able to bring our 2 small dogs. The fenced in porch is a big plus for both little children and the dogs. We didn’t need to call the owner for any issues, as we had none.

Amazing location! Close to the boardwalk and beach! Had an amazing week and so grateful to be able to bring our larger dog. The reviews were pretty accurate but nothing that we couldn’t deal! Amazing location and lots of fun!

Perfect fit for our situation.

We were very happy to find this dog friendly AND accessible property for our thanksgiving visit. It was clean enough and comfortable enough for our needs. (Keep in mind this is a pet friendly place) Communication was really good; Russell was friendly and helpful. Sure it’s a bit quirky, low ceilings, a little dark, but it had everything we needed and for a reasonable price!

Prefect location, clean apartment, handicap accessible like described, communication with Russ was excellent, it was prefect for most likely our mothers last time due to Alzheimer’s, thank you Russ, for having the prefect place for our mother. God bless you

Location is great. Past reviews are pretty accurate about the property.

The location was good for accessing the boardwalk, but the accommodations were not overwhelming. As mentioned in previous reviews, the property was not cleaned very well and was in need of some general repairs. The king bed was covered in dog hair, and there was a bunch of fur and some dog toys left under the bed. The shower curtains were moldy when we arrived. The landlord did drop off some new curtains and bleach, and the curtains cleaned up ok. The shower mats were in the washer full of water when we arrived, so we had to finish the cycle. The washer does not run a full cycle, so you have to set it to run a spin cycle separately (mentioned in a review 2 years ago). There was a full mouse trap when we got there as well, and a base cabinet had a bunch of mouse droppings in it. The trap could have been a fresh catch, but I feel the cabinet should have been cleaned. Also, parking is an issue. We weren’t able to locate overnight parking nearby, so ended up several blocks away. The beach is accessible, but crowded in this area. Overall, the experience was a bit frustrating, but not terrible. However, I would not expect to stay here again. The property has potential If it were just maintained and cleaned better.

The description of the condo was that it sleeps nine. The king size room and the queen size mirror we’re as described the middle bunk bedroom was not made for a teenager or adult to sleep on it was so close to the ceiling. The futon/sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable to sit in. There was enough room for four people to sit in the living room and for four people to sit in the dining room. The place was dirty as though we were only broom swept we found a candy wrapper behind the end table in the first bedroom, the king size bedroom had a pair of underwear on the floor and a receipt dated July 11, 2022. My reservation was August 13-20. The bedskirt on the king size bed had a ring of dirt around it I do have pictures that I would love to send you. Both shower curtains were moldy with black and red mold from that him up about 3 inches . When we came and the only instructions for the house were that the washer only drained on delicate cycle. The oven did not work properly. There was no fire extinguisher. No back door for exit. All the vents were very dusty including the portable air conditioner vent . I had to wipe out the refrigerator the vegetable drawers had vegetable dried crumbs and underneath the drawers there was a stain that should’ve been cleaned up the door panels had dust all over them. I was shocked that this man left this place in such condition. The porch was decent the furniture out there was nicer than the furniture inside and the distance from the boardwalk to the house was a great asset. When we swept next to the washing machine there was also a pair of underwear and lots of dust there too. I don’t feel as though I should’ve had to pay a cleaning fee. And I would like to see if I could get a partial refund for the inconveniences. I also want to mention that I have stayed at many places for rent before and I’ve never had this experience . There was also not enough plates for nine people they were for dishes and four small plates. There were ample coffee cups and plastic glasses. If you would like me to send you pictures I would be more than happy to and if you want the other friend who stayed with me to corroborate I’d be happy to give you that information also. Perfect location. Half block from boardwalk. Only drawback was no off street parking

The property is only a block from the beach and boardwalk, which is a real plus. Pet friendly, even a gated porch. The owner was very responsive to problems or questions. Parking is difficult. Once you get your spot, don’t move! Almost everything you need is within walking distance.

This place was disgusting. Mice droppings all over the kitchen counter. Aunts everywhere, you couldn’t put any food on the counter. The house smelled like a dead animal & there were 12-15 air fresheners placed every few feet. The house was absolutely filthy. The bathroom smelled like urine, we couldn’t use the master shower bc the plumbing was backed up and couldn’t drain. The washing machine didn’t work, each load of wash wouldn’t drain. There was no cable, TV didn’t work. We saw mice running throughout the house in the Evening, My husband had to buy mouse traps & we caught several. It was absolutely horrible. The Only good thing was the location.

I want to start off with the good things about this place. The location was perfect. Also, being on the first floor was nice since we didn’t need to hall all of our luggage up and down the steps. However, unfortunately the bad things outweigh the good. To start off, the Wi-Fi they said we had was coming from the building next store that was also owned by the same owner of our rental property, which had a very bad signal. The son of the owner did bring by and installed a new router. We also had a leak in my sons bedroom that soaked the top half of his mattress which he could not sleep in the first night. They sent out a HVAC repair guy and he fixed the leak but the mattress was never replaced and we just had to let it dry so my son could sleep in it. I missed a day at the beach bc of having to wait for the repair guy. We also saw a mouse twice running around the rental unit, once on the kitchen counter and once in the bathroom and the front bedroom. The back bathroom shower drain was very very slow, so by the end of your shower you would be standing in about 1-2 inches of dirty water. This one is a good and bad thing, the “twin size bunk beds” mentioned are not “twin sized”, but FULL SIZE, which is nice that they are bigger but not good since you need to bring your own bedding. Lastly, they add a cleaning fee to your bill and whoever they are hiring to clean does a very poor job. The renters after us that came spent 3 hours cleaning when they got there bc it was not cleaned at all. The trash was taken out and that was about it. I do not recommend staying here unless you are just looking for a great location. Plus, they say you can find parking easily, that is so not true.

Excellent location. Easy to get to boardwalk and ocean. Close to downtown. Very nice area. Close to water park. Excellent experience!

Overall, the house gave us what we needed, a roof over our heads. Everything worked. The toilets and bathroom sinks were dirty when we got there so we had to clean those. There were also a lot of cosmetic issues that should be addressed. Missing handles on cabinets and the fridge, cracked floors, dinged walls, blinds that don't work, that sort of thing. But if your not looking for anything fancy, this is a great spot. Also, the pictures are not accurate in that the rental does not come with blankets on the beds.

Surfaces were clean but shower area and floors were not. I only suggest this as constructive criticism for the owner because their cleaning service could be taking advantage of them.

It was the perfect size and convenience to the beach for our weekend stay!

Overall, we were not disappointed. We had a pretty good idea of the accomadations before we arrived.

Very close to the beach and boardwalk. Place was very nice and spacious for 8 people. Only was had to fight for a parking spot in the afternoon after the rain was done

Our family spent a week here and had a great experience. Russ is responsive and helpful if needed, however the property is in need of general maintenance. It seems the real issue may be his cleaning crew as the cleanliness upon arriving was not as it should be, nor are they communicating issues to Russ. A thorough cleaning is definitely needed. As well as updated pictures of the unit. We expected to bring our own linens and towels however we arrived to no bedding (stayed in this location 3 years ago and there was bedding and pillows). Perhaps this is a new covid thing, but that should have been communicated as pictures of the unit show bedding. Luckily we brought some, but had to find more at a local thrift store and take them to be washed. Not the most ideal activity on vacation. All in all the place is a good little one at a perfect location, just some fixable issues.

Location was so nice and convenient house had a lot more space than expected and the front porch was the best part so nice to sit out there had nice furniture. Air conditioning worked well the kitchen and bathrooms were very nice and over all a great experience would book again

What a great week! Russ is a very attentive host. Perfect location to hit the boardwalk and beach, local shops, food store, gym…. Can’t beat it. We will definitely rent again.

Amazing state will book again anytime I can

Just a half a block from the beach and boardwalk two homes away from the waterpark. Adequate amount of space for a family of 5 with a dog. The large king bedroom shower was great as well. We enjoyed the gated front porch for our dog and just sitting outside. However it doesn’t need some TLC as some things need to be replaced or updated. Mattress in the queen bedroom although covered and comfortable, really needs to be replaced. Fridge is missing a handle. Microwave handle is loose. One closet is missing a door. A lot of minor things that can be easily fixed. Full kitchen equipped with everything we needed including a wine cork, wine glasses and pizza cutter. Place smells like smoke which I can’t tell if it’s from the renters upstairs, or the unit itself. Biggest inconvenience was the parking which is quite common issue in the area.

Just can't beat the location of this property! We loved that it is in the middle of town and on the same block as the water park and one of our favorite restaurants (Sindia) Just the right size for my family. Loved hanging out on the porch reading with my dog. One suggestion: it would be useful for the owner to have a one page "Welcome" sheet to orient you on arrival (wasn't immediately clear where I could park for instance) It was GREAT!

He needs to clean the toilets and floors better. The bottom of our feet were dirty. I had to mop it and wipe toilets down. I love doing that on vacation. Overall he needs to hire someone to get things in order.

House was filthy, stayed one day after paying additional money for early arrival and late departure.

We had a great time. For a property that allows you to bring dogs, it is very comfortable. The owner is very accommodating and very nice. Pots and pans brand new. Cant beat the location to the boardwalk..very easy to come back and forth.

Loved the location of the condo, however just a warning if renting first floor...very NOISEY! You can hear all walking on second floor and dogs running on floor makes it very noisy. Also kitchen utensils and cooking supplies could be upgraded. We only had 2 forks in the whole condo and it took 5 days to get this problem fixed. Also told there was a grill, however be advised it is an old beat up charcoal grill with old picnic table out back. Close to beach and boardwalk but also means lots of people walking by. Not a quiet and relaxing place, but enjoyed our week in Ocean City. Will look for a quieter place next year.

I recommend this condo for anyone who wants to be really close to the boardwalk and beach. It had everything we needed. The owner and his sons are eager to please. It was great that we could bring our dog. I will be returning soon I hope!

I stayed at 830 Plymouth Place over the Christmas holiday and New Years to enjoy Ocean City's First Night. The accommodations were absolutely terrific. The unit is upgraded with all the desired amenities and located a half a block from the beach and boardwalk. The owner, Russ, was a very nice owner. In fact my grandfather complained that his pillow wasn't comfortable and then at 8pm Russ showed up with a brand new very comfortable pillow. It was shocking! Most importantly to my wife, the unit was as clean as it gets. Usually we spruce any rental up when we arrive, but this time we did not have too! We are going to return this summer and rent the same condo. You are not going to believe how close it is to the beach and boardwalk! Enjoy!!
