We just spent a night passing through but really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly host and family (plus a couple of semi-residents on a long trip!). Nice chats over a dinner and a beer. Room was fine. The bush-babies in the lounge area were a real highlight 😁.

It was the first time for me to stay at a backpackers. We met very interesting travelers and enjoyed the conversations around the large communal dining table. I enjoyed resting in the hangmat. There was a normal bed as well. The food Rupert and Luvet made was delicious. The shower water was very warm (gas geyser). I will stay there again.
I missed plugs in the room, but I did have backup batteries for my phone so it wasn't a problem. We don't expect miracles in a remote place. Most probably there was a place to charge phones but I didn't ask. The electricity was solar.

This is a camp in the desert but it’s comfortable enough. The host is both helpful and engaging. He’s developed an impressive place to stay. The kind of guests is another great attraction in this place.

It's a backpackers, but we booked a tent that was had its own little outdoor toilet and shower. Very rustic and very friendly. Added to our adventure through Botswana. The owner hosted us at the bar and we met a young family and had a great chat over drinks. Thank you Rupert (I hope I remember the right name?)

The place it’s in a very nice and isolated place. You can do free canoeing on the river next to the camp and the Nata Bird Sanctuary is also very close.
I would recommend to expand the kitchen because when the camp is full it’s hard for all the guests to use the kitchen and a fridge for the guests is also needed.

Activities on river.
Some youngsters occupied the kitchen and did not clean up afterward, and we couldn't make coffee, the next morning.

This is one of the best backpackers I've ever stayed at. I only went as a convenient stop between Maun and Livingston. But wow did this place completely blow my expectations out of the water. The vibe is so welcoming and friendly, easy to meet other travellers. Plus there are free kayaks to explore the beautiful river, bush babies which come out at dusk, a friendly chicken which behaves like a cat, great communal dinners, and other little appreciated bonuses like good wifi throughout and warm showers.
Almost nothing major

The owner, Rupert, is a fantastic host and makes everyone feel welcome. He's an amazing cook and everyone who wishes is welcome to join for the braai dinner in the evening. It's a fantastic atmosphere with people from different walks of life with different stories. Life is good by a camp fire!

One of it’s kind for the most part. saw a couple of pieces that were really nice, gave me a few ideas of how to use recycled material myself 😇 10/10

Really liked how the place looked and the attention to campers details. Rupert and her lady friend were super friendly and even played a game late into the night.

Its a great resting place especially for the price, great food and company in a good location for heading through the East side of Botswana. Really pretty stretch of river right next to camp and adorable bushbabies resident at the communal/bar area

The camp site is quirky and well laid out. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good.
The camp runs on solar power. Make sure your devices are fully charged.
The outdoor showers come with hot water. It can be tricky to shower during a storm.
The tent with private bathroom is a little uncomfortable for anyone taller than 1.5m. The curtain decorations inside the tent lowers the tent roof. That makes it difficult to stand up straight.
The tree branches in the outdoor shower needs a trim. They grow too low resulting in anyone taller than 1.7m to get caught in the branches.
Bedding isn't clean. A mouse has nested in the bed (and has been nesting there for a long time). The mouse was very upset when we opened the bed and chased it out. The entire bed was full of mouse droppings and it smelled of mouse urine. Luckily we had our own sleeping bags.
