This was our second stay here and it did not disappoint. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is nicely stocked, and the view of Pamlico Sound is breathtaking. Our stay at Fo'get About It was wonderful! The views of the sound were amazing, and the close proximity to the beach and local restaurants very convenient. The house itself was exactly as described in the listing - quiet neighborhood, very spacious, clean and well appointed. The large deck and steady breeze made mornings and evenings special for our entire group. The 3rd floor hot tub was great and the private dock out back was perfect for our daily fishing fix! Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

We were familiar with the area and this was our first rental through VRBO. The communications with the host were excellent and the property was as described with no issues. Loved coffee on the back deck every morning and watched the birds and baitfish do their morning dances. We had our boat down as well and the dock was perfect. We managed several nice fish dinners including speckled trout, spanish mackerel and bluefish. Our little Cavachon "Hattie" enjoyed her morning walks meeting the neighbors.

Very clean house, awesome views of the sound, fishing access, and location. The hot tub was great and the dock out back perfect for our fishing needs. Communication with the owner was quick and always responded to our questions.

Great location and excellent views. Nice outdoor decking and dock to spend time outdoors. A few drawbacks were the house is a bit worn out in terms of furnishings and flooring, the fridge only had 2 freezer shelves and no working ice machine and we had a few bugs to clean up each day, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The listing also states "linens included" but that only applies to bed linens. I've been renting down in Hatteras for 30 years and "linens included" has always included towels. So bring your own towels and such. The beds were all very comfortable so we slept great!

This is a lovely home which contains everything a visitor would need for their stay. It is comfortable, homey and the kitchen is well stocked. The porches and outdoor spaces are extremely nice and the grilling space, sheltered under the house is great. We greatly appreciated the fact that this home is pet-friendly. One of our family members is a 6 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog with severe separation anxiety. so she cannot be kenneled and left for a week. She relaxed immediately and loved the porches and decks. The fishing and crabbing was quite good. We trapped quite a few crabs and one morning the Red Drum were practically fighting to take our bait. This is our second year in a row renting this home. It is perfect for our family. The husbands have lots of places to fish, teens have beach, dock, kayaks. Grandparents can watch from decks or get involved as much as they want. Even the dogs are happy staying here. Owners answer any questions or concerns quickly and efficiently.

The owners of this property are absolutely amazing! They were easy to communicate with & have honestly maintained an exquisite home! What you see is exactly what you get! Some homes pictures are deceiving but this home truly is gorgeous! The beds were super comfy & the house had plenty of storage! The location is perfect for sound side activities & close proximity to beach access! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay! Our family loved it! If you’re thinking about this home for your next vacation, I say it’s a 100% yes!

Five adults, one baby, and two dogs stayed here. Everyone loved the house—Especially the deck overlooking the sound. The beach was an easy drive and we enjoyed kayaking on the sound, fishing on the pier, and coffees on the deck. We’ve gone to the outer banks for years but this was our first time on the sound—our time here made us converts!

The home was wonderful with sufficient seating in the living and dining areas as well as the deck overlooking the sound. All the rooms were spacious. The young adults really enjoyed the upstairs bonus room with the TV and futon, that’s where they setup the x-box. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. As a serious home cook I was excited to have sharp knives and a gas stove. Another favorite was that the light switches and some cabinets were labeled - I love that! It’s such a simple thing and so helpful. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evenings taking in the views and wildlife! There was always something interesting happening - turtles hanging out, pelicans feeding, fish jumping and mourning doves nesting in the rafters. The only hiccup we experienced was spotty internet. The owner was very responsive and said it’s the nature if the internet connectivity on the island. We ended up using a hotspot when internet was needed, which wasn’t often. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home, we all had a terrific time!

The house is located on Pamlico Sound with a beautiful view of water, stars and sunset, and waterfowl. The house provides an upstairs sitting room in addition to a downstairs living room; two decks; plenty of space for family gathering together and quiet time apart. The house provides a spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Property is in a well established quiet neighborhood 5 minutes from a National Park beach. Neighborhood is friendly and peaceful and is conducive to walks and bike riding. House provides a dock and fixed chairs for fishing and watching the sunset. Owners were available and responsive to questions. Beautiful location and comfortable house for a group. Outstanding property.

The home is perfect for families and has beautiful views, has all of the amenities and variety of activities needed to enjoy a wonderful time. There was really only one drawback--the water in front of the dock was too shallow to dock a boat. Otherwise, highly recommend this home for vacation.

This is a well maintained home with in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful views of the bay in the Outer Banks. It comes equipped with all you need for the kitchen, but extra coffee cups could be added. Everything else was spot on and he house was everything we had hoped it would be. I only wish that I had better communication with the owner during my stay. Other than that - kudos on a job well done.

Location is great. Beautiful view of the Pamlico Sound. Upper and lower decks are great with top one having a nice hot tub. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking, serving, etc. House was clean upon arrival.. Washer and dryer look fairly new and are better then what we have at home, lol. HVAC works well. Plenty of room with all kinds of games and DVDs available. I believe there are 5 tvs. Has a dock on the Sound with chairs and is a great place to watch the sunset and fish. From top porch can also see the sunrise while enjoying a cup of coffee. Will stay here again. Gonna to miss the sunsets and sunrises.

The house is exactly as described. The kitchen is well-stocked: crock pot, elec. griddle, toaster, pots and pans for days and in great condition. There was plenty of dinnerware, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils, too. The blender was ineffective for making frozen daiquiris as it essentially moved the ice around rather than crush it but a minor disappointment. The ice dispenser in the freezer did not work either, so we had to buy bags of ice. The owner was notified, and I would expect it to be repaired pronto, as the owner was very responsive to an issue with the tv in one of the bedrooms. The view over the water is really marvelous, and the sunrises can be stunning. The hot tub was wonderful; the decks and porches have ample and comfortable seating and tables. We are from SC and spend much time at the many beaches along the east coast, but we had never been to the Outer Banks. We are used to public accesses all along the beach...not necessarily parking but a footpath to the beach, so we were surprised to learn that we had to drive to one of only a handful of public (parking) lots to get on the beach. Being part of the National Park Service and a wildlife preserve, the area certainly benefits from the lack of commercialization, so it’s a good trade-off. We have 4-wheel drive vehicles, so we purchased a 10-day permit to drive on the beach which provides more options and greater access. The beach is wide and beautiful, and the waves looked impressive.

We really appreciate the ability to experience this part of the OBX. The quietness and solitude was amazing. The stars were unbelievable. Our old pups lived laying on the deck in the beds star gazing with us. If you like a relaxing retreat away would certainly recommend.

This is a sweet little home with direct access to the Pamlico Sound and an easy distance to many of the southern Hatteras beaches. We had a great, quiet Thanksgiving week here!

Solid house in a lovely location. There were a couple hiccups when we first arrived, but none were the owner's fault. He was very attentive and responsive to our issues. Our week was wonderful and we would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this house. The owner took care of any problems almost instantly. The kids loved fishing and crabbing from the dock, the adults loved the surf fishing and driving on the beaches. Only complaint is that the week went by too fast.

The kitchen is very well stocked with the tools and cookware you will need to make an excellent seafood feast! We especially loved the steamer.The beds are very comfortable and the setup of the living room being on the first floor was a nice change from the norm. The hot tub along with the view is really impressive.There is an excellent fishing dock along with a terrific place to launch your kayaks. The first floor deck was an excellent place to relax out of the sun but with an awesome view.I would recommend this place for a nice, quiet, relaxing vacation for a family. We love the Frisco / Avon / Hatteras area and Brigands Bay has always delivered great views with close proximity to some very quiet beaches.
