We are a group of 20 friends that camp together every summer weekend and try to connect (all of us) off-season for an extended weekend. We found this Sandusky property and by description, pictures and location thought it would be a good fit – turns out it was a GREAT fit! We had the chance to meet our Host when we arrived and were given a tour of the property. Suffice it to say, the VRBO pictures were good, but reality was better! We were all incredibly pleased with size of the space, overall comfort, the décor, the sleeping accommodations, restrooms, and how well-appointed and cared for this property is. I can’t even begin to say how perfect this house was for a big group, it had absolutely everything we needed in such a good location. Everyone was so impressed I came home and I can’t stop talking about how big this place is. The kitchen is perfect along with the table allowing everyone to eat comfortably. Check in and check out was easy and the host was very easy to communicate with. Highly highly highly recommend.

Wonderful property for large gatherings. We had a family reunion and the house was perfect. The kitchen and living area was great for a large gathering and the bedrooms are spaced out as to have your own wing or section per family. We really enjoyed watching movies in the theatre at night. Fully equipped with all kitchen needs and only a few blocks to the waterfront. Highly recommend.

We used the house as a work retreat weekend for our office leaders and it was a massive hit with everyone. This house is by far the most unique rental I have ever stayed in. It comfortably fit our large group with a huge, beautiful common area on the first floor and bedrooms that allowed everyone to have their own space. The game room and movie theater were the cherry on top. The experience definitely exceeded our group's expectations!

Our family of 23 fit perfectly in this space. Excellent space to spend time together, cook, dine, watch movies, and get some good rest. We had infants at 1 year old, toddlers, teens, and adults and there was something for everyone. Parks in walking distance and beaches a short drive. We can’t wait to come back!

This was a mind-blowing place! There's so much to it, and so much attention to detail! It was a fantastic place for our workshop. Would recommend to anyone.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. The house was perfect for a friends getaway weekend. The place was clean and the layout is perfect for large groups. The game room and theater room made it so that you didn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to. The ferry to the islands is a short easy walk straight down to the end of the road. The extra touches like chilled mugs in the freezer, a stocked candy counter, a popcorn machine stocked with popcorn and toiletries in every bathroom did not go unnoticed. The owners were wonderful to work with and communication was great. Would 💯% rent here again.

This property was absolutely perfect! The owners have thought of everything and have it available for your use. We stayed for our boys senior trip. They had a great time in the game room and media room. There was a ton of room. The pictures of this place don’t do it justice - the house is full of character and charm! It’s big enough that everyone had their own space but it was still very homey. I would highly recommend staying in this house if you have a large group coming to Sandusky

Our entire Volleyball team stayed here with their families. There were enough bedrooms for each couple to have their own bedroom while the kids slept in the bunk rooms. It was the perfect combination of bedrooms for our group. This property is absolutely amazing. It is very spacious and includes all of the accommodations and amenities for a stress free stay. I would highly recommend this property for any large group.

My daughter gets married in July so we decided to combine our events. So our bridal shower was an openhouse from 10-2pm for about 40 people. The kitchen is AMAZING! Very easy to set up a food buffet. Lots of street parking and parking lots in the area. Then the Bachelorette party consisted of dinner and bar hopping all within walking distance. Crush for dinner then Moseleys, Barrel house, couple others and Daleys pub. There were 10 gals. Breakfast buffet for the party girls Sunday morning. Momma chef had the room right by the kitchen while the girls were all upstairs. Absolute perfection!

I highly recommend going here if you are planning a Lake Erie retreat. This place has everything you can ask for and more.

Everything was so clean and I have never seen a more stocked rental! Anytime we had a question, Chris answered promptly and was very accommodating to us from start to finish! It was perfect for our team retreat, we had plenty of space from our learning times to our down time! Perfect property!

Our family of 32 ranging from 7 months to 82 just enjoyed the most incredible weekend. This property is immaculate and leaves you wanting for nothing more, except time. Everyone marveled at the layout, the delightful decorating and all of the space. It was absolutely perfect with the huge commons area, large kitchen with EVERYTHING, separate conversation spaces, beds enough for everyone, and then coming together to share our meals at the long table made the weekend even more amazing. We loved watching the big game in the theater room (while munching on popcorn and candy) and spent countless hours in the game room. Thank you for creating such a fabulous space. We can’t wait to do it all over again!

This property was awesome - anything you need, they’ve thought of it. Lots of secluded areas if you want to break away from your group. We stayed for 4 days and rarely left the house. When we did we walked to a local bbq spot (Derrick Jr.) and an ice cream spot in the same area.

We brought our family together to celebrate Grandpa’s 80th birthday. The house fit us all comfortably with small suites of rooms perfect for our families. The house had everything you could imagine you would need and more. The decorations are tasteful and fun! In fact, the house itself is fun. We couldn’t help but image that the owners would be just the type of people we would want to hang out with. They have to be the most hospitable and friendly people ever! I would note that folks who prefer not to share bathrooms may not like the bathrooms here. My extended family of between 20 & 25 did not mind at all!! Even the bathrooms are fun here with amazing showers !

Our women's team stayed here while spending time at Cedar Point and we couldn't have been more impressed. The high ceilings, unique rooms, game room, theater, and that amazing dining room/living room/kitchen. So many bathrooms too! You can have as much privacy as you would like, despite how communal this property is! We only wished we had more time to stay and spend time there! Would definitely come back to stay again. Hosts were fantastic and super easy to get in touch with for check in.

We used this property for a business retreat and it was an absolutely perfect setup. The theater room was fantastic for presentations, the kitchen was large for both us and our private chef to use and the game room got a lot of late night use too. The house is within walking distance to great restaurants. All in all we were very happy with our stay. Thank you.

Wow, this was a great spot for our trip to visit Put-in-Bay. Our group of 27 absolutely love staying here. There is enough space to be able to have some privacy and for all of us to be together. The kitchen is huge and gorgeous. They have everything you could ever think of needing. The confection ovens were perfect for making our large groups breakfast Saturday morning! Would definately recommend for another large group looking to visit the area!

This property lived up to every superlative given in other reviews. Full of "extra mile" features, including a stocked spice cupboard and pantry, multiple coffee stations, bathing toiletries, even snacks in the game room. The professional kitchen was a dream to use. Bedrooms had great sound insulation. More than 30 family members used this house comfortably without feeling crowded. Best of all, the host was easily accessible throughout our stay to assist with questions and troubleshooting. All in all, we spent more on this family reunion than any previous location in ten years of gathering together (mostly in hotels or remote wilderness cabins)...but felt like we got what we paid for and more. 10/10 would stay here again.

This house was absolutely stunning! I found this house for rent for our family reunion. We had 40 people between this house and another house down the street. The pictures for this house do not even begin to show the beauty! Our family was absolutely stunned! One aunt told her husband he was remodeling their bathroom to have the bathroom like the one in this house. They had a shower that had about five different jets you could turn on. The space in this house was just beyond unbelievable! It was so clean and so simply decorated. The kids spent the most time in the theater room and the game room. The owners even left candy and snacks in the game room which we all felt was such a sweet gesture. I did have to message the owners about some things leading up to our trip and then had some questions during our trip. Chris was great dealing with. He responded back within minutes of my questions. My kids want to rent this house again because it was so much fun. I cannot express how beautiful this house is and how spacious it is! Some of us kept getting lost because there were rooms all over. On the second floor, they had a sitting room that had a coffee maker on a cart with coffee mugs and all. This house was so well planned and thought out. I didn’t want to leave! This was beautiful for our family reunion! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had enough room to move around. Thank you Chris and Mary!!!

Words cannot convey how perfect this house is for a family reunion. Fun for all ages and plenty of room in the kitchen for massive dinner prep. We had a group of 40 for dinners, 19 staying at the house. The house is super clean, fully fully equipped, and so much entertainment between the game room and movie theater for kids of all ages. I cannot recommend it enough if you have a really large group.

I booked this for my 13U Baseball team for a tournament and I would venture to say that in 10 years they won't be able to remember the score of the games but they will remember enjoying this very one of a kind stay. Kids and parents all enjoyed the stay and everything worked out great!! 10/10 would stay here again.

My husband and I rented this amazing place for a family retreat with our adult children and grandchildren (ages 7 months to 8 years old). The space was absolutely perfect for our family of 20. There were plenty of bedrooms, for all of us and lots of room for all of the littles to play! We all loved the theater room and were able to watch movies and play video games on the big screen. Several of the kids said that was their favorite part of the weekend. We are hoping to go back again!

This is the second time we have stayed here and never a disappointment. We held our wedding here and Chris was beyond helpful! Everything went smooth and it was a great event. We will be back again for sure!

The property was amazing!

This property is extraordinary. We rented it for a stay for our son's wedding in Sandusky.. We had family, friends & some of the wedding party enjoying the house with us. We held the rehearsal dinner for about 50 people here & didn't feel crowded at all. At this accommodation you want for nothing. Mary's taste & decor fit this house perfectly. Chris's design & renovation of this fully refurbished 1917 Bell Telephone office building is magnificent, they've spared no expense using all high end amenities throughout. Brand new waaay comfortable mattresses sheets, pillows in each of the 14 bedrooms. The 5 bathrooms have shower towers that are as relaxing as any spa & each comes with 2 plush robes for renters use. The faucets actually light-up when turned on. He kept some of the nostalgia by updating 2 of the original bathrooms; they are very cool. There's a bright well-lit restaurant size stainless steel chef's kitchen. It's fully loaded with a 6 burner gas stove with a griddle & 2 ovens, 2 other ovens, hugh refrigerator/freezer, 2 dishwashers, double+ deep stainless sinks, granite countertops, self-closing cabinets that still smell new. They're fully loaded with quality dishes silverware & glasses for 40+ & bowls,, pots,, pans & any utensils &high-end appliances you might need.. There's a banquet-sized table that seats 30 people comfortably, 6 counter stools & spare chairs. The open floor plan has a 3 large couch conversation pit around a 75inch HDTV with cable. Lots, lots of room and yet warm & cozy. Upstairs gets even better for family fun. There's a second large screen cable HDTV room. A game room with lots of board games, a third large screen cable HDTV, plenty of movies to play, XL couch, pool table, poker table with chips & cards provided and a fully stocked, lighted antique candy bar. WOW!] Oops, not to forget the remaining upstairs room. It's a 15 reclining-seat quality theater, real popcorn machine (popcorn provided), small refrig, fuzzy throws (in case you get cold). We loved this, watched movies, HD college football games, golf, you can even play video games. Outside we used the 2 fire pits, corn hole, tables, chairs & large outdoor cooler; there's also a double grill. We took advantage of everything this property had to offer & was extremely satisfied. A 10+ for ease of booking, speed & depth of response, cleanliness, amenities, professionalism, friendliness, safe & secure property, local knowledge & recommendations.

There are 15 siblings in all. All still have their spouses except for two. We made it a tradition when the oldest turned 60 to celebrate everyone's 60th birthday by going away together for the weekend. Siblings and their better halves only, no kids allowed! LOL For the first time ever, we had all of them together except for the oldest sister and her husband who couldn't make it due to her husband not being able to travel that far. The rest of us traveled from Idaho, Michigan, New York, & Ohio. This place was by far the most accommodating place we have ever stayed. It has everything you would ever need or even want. Everyone of us absolutely loved it! We didn't hear one complaint from a single person, in fact they all agreed we should try to return to this same home again next year for the celebration of 2 more turning 60! It is hard to find a home with enough bedrooms for each of couple to have their own room. Usually several couples have to share a room with 2 , 3 or even 4 beds in one room. This house had more than enough bedrooms for each couple to have their own room. Words can not express how much we appreciate Chris & Mary sharing this beautiful home with us! It was amazing!!! Pretty sure this won't be our last stay here. :) Thank you Chris & Mary!!

This is an absolute perfect listing for a large group get together. I've been organizating a friends reunion for seven years and this has been the best property so far. Comfy beds, lots of space, entertainment and an amazing kitchen for cooking. Very quite building in a perfect spot to enjoy the lake shore. Easily would rebook again.
