L’appartement était absolument splendide, avec un niveau de finitions que je n’avais que rarement vu en Grèce. Très bien équipé, une magnifique terrasse avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes et la vallée, des lits très confortables, et un accueil chaleureux de Marianna. Nous avons aussi reçu de petits présents qui ont été très appréciés. Le village de Zakros respire la tranquillité et était l’étape préférée de notre voyage. Nous recommandons donc très fortement ce logement et la région.

Tout était parfait

If someone asked me how I would like my own house in the village I would answer 'exactly this'. Amazing views and location, beautifully designed apartments, FULLY furnished (including sandwich maker, espresso machine, microwave and washing machine!) and all impeccably clean. The booking manager came to where we were eating our lunch to leave the keys and was just really accommodating and helpful. The location is outstanding with other-worldly views and fast access to all the great beaches that Eastern Crete has to offer and so many interesting hiking walks and canyons.

Honestly, there wasn't a thing. A minor inconvenience was that the parking isn't RIGHT next to the property (not even a minutes walk away) but this was easily over come by dropping off our things outside of the property and walking the short distance.

Perfect location above the village with stunning view over the olive tree fields and the sea. Perfect base for some hiking and beach. Very friendly staff and owner. This is the place to be in Crete if you look for some quiet place away from the mass tourism.

Apartment and view

The house was up a narrow ,steep road-but it was made up. We missed our first night due to the storms in Sitia and the road was blocked. We rang the owner 3 times. They emailed us-but we did not have internet as stuck in the car,by the road in rain. We did not get any refund for the night,but had to pay for a room in Sitia. We had to get police clearance to try the road on the morning after the storm

The apartment is beautiful, in excellent, new condition and nicely decorated!

The instructions to turn on the AC could have been updated with a photo of the controller (which isn't near the units in the individual rooms)...and a hint that the breaker may need to be turned on.

Hostess was there when we arrived and very helpful throughout. Always on call. Apartment was excellent with a stunning views and excellent kitchen. Located in a quiet and authentic Cretan village.

No good restaurants in the village itself but beach and great tavernas are a short drive away at Kato Zakros. Hilltop location may be hard to reach for some drivers. Need to follow signs (not Google) up a steeply winding road.

Best accomodation in Crete I have had in 20 years traveling here. Perfect location, very well equipped, super friendly host, quiet and peaceful. What more could you wish for? Zakros is the perfect place for exploring the eastern coast, many good places to eat and trink nearby. Already looking forward coming back.
