We loved our stay at this property. The spa and billiard table helped us to enjoy lots of fun times together as a family. The property is close to shops and a short walk through the residential area took us to the beautiful walking tracks along the river. Our host was very accommodating and responsive. We thoroughly recommend this property to other travelers.

Perfect little getaway for the weekend with family and friends. Glenys made everything easy from our enquiry to see if our dog could stay through to turning the spa on before we arrived. The property was clean & tidy, functional with a lot of living areas, pool table and felt very homely. It’s only a very short walk to Anglesea shops and a little more to the beach. Would stay again but for longer next time.

We loved our stay at this property. We had a group of 8 adults and an 18 month old and our dog. House was beautifully clean and very well equipped for cooking, entertaining, kids and more! Glenys was very easy to deal with and I greatly appreciated her quick communication and assistance pre check in. Highly recommend for family groups. Will stay here again!

We had such a relaxing stay at Barrakee Beach House. Everything was so organised and well provided for. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and easy. We could bring our Spoodle which was a priority for us and there was a pool table and outdoor spa which, with post-teenage children and partners, was a bonus and very much made our holiday a fun family event. It was a short walk to the shops and a little further to the beach which was pleasant because we felt close enough to conveniences yet secluded. We highly recommend a stay here. We’ll certainly be back again some day!

Great house to stay away for a long weekend with the wife, children and the dog. Place was clean, tidy and well appointed. Great little touches such as a Nespresso coffee machine with some pods and a little basket of snacks that makes the difference. Glenys was great. Thanks for hosting us

Glenys was one of the nicest hosts I have come across over a lifetime of renting many properties, her thoughtfulness & attention to detail really made a difference. Barrakee beach house has everything you need, great outdoor area to relax, the beds were SO comfy... having foxtel so we could watch the football was also a fantastic touch. We had a wonderful stay due to Glenys’ attention to detail. Glenys made contact with us prior to our stay to ensure our needs were catered for. It was such a well appointed house - pantry, kitchen, bathroom supplies were ample. There were great zones for the whole family and room for our dog. Thank you so much - we will be back!

My family and I had a girls weekend away in Anglesea and this accomodation was perfect. The house was clean, spacious and in an ideal location. It contained plenty of entertainment like the pool table, spa, board games, books, wifi, foxtel and magazines. Everything had clearly been thought out, with separate towels for outside, shampoo and conditioner supplied and handy notes found in each room. Glenys made sure we were all sorted and gave us some details on what events were going on in Anglesea while we were there. Would definitely stay again, 5 out of 5 stars.

I recently spent four nights at Barrakee. It was truly beautiful. The home has a great outdoor deck with dining and lounge suites. BBQ TV and mozzie zapper to ensure comfortable days and nights. Inside you’ll find comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen with every appliance you could imagine. Foxtel, wifi and a great Bluetooth stereo. DVDs and games in case the weather forces some indoor days. The downstairs pool room provides great entertainment for kids big and small. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Air conditioning in the communal areas only but did prove to be a problem at all. The stairs between the levels can’t be avoided, I had elderly parents with me and while they didn’t complain it’s something to consider. At the top of the stairs is a great kid proof barrier to prevent mishaps with toddlers. As I mentioned Glenys has thought of everything. On a personal note I found Glenys to be a warm and welcoming host going the extra mile to ensure I had a baking dish large enough for the Christmas leg of pork. The home is walking distance to the shops which is also handy. One word of warning if you hear a bang in the night don’t worry there is a couple of possums that walk along the verandah railing enroute to the backyard trees. I thoroughly recommend this dog friendly as well as family friendly home. You won’t be disappointed.

We absolutely loved everything Barakee Beach House and Anglesea had to offer. Glenys has thought of every single thing you could need and want to enjoy a relaxing stay,whether it be for a girls weekend or a family stay. The house is in a quiet street and perfect walking distance to the main street for a shop and dinner. The hot tub was ready on arrival and with towels and all bedding provided it made it easy to travel light. We highly recommend this house.

Me and family had a short 3 day getaway and as soon as we got to the place, it was just definitely amazing. The place was set up perfectly and very accomodating to everything that you need. The landlord even kept in touch with us as soon as we booked and even surprised us with balloons when we got to the place as we mentioned that the getaway is for our parent’s anniversary and brother’s 21st. Overall, we all had a great time we will definitely come back here if we stay in the area again in the near future! Thanks Glenys!

Everything that you need in a holiday house. Very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at Barrakee over the Easter long weekend and we loved every minute of it! Everything had been thought of that we could need and want to relax and enjoy our stay was there. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds, linen and towels. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes for cooking and eating together. The living spaces, both inside and outside, were perfect for relaxing and spending time together. We ate inside and out on the balcony, loved playing pool, and thought the spa was an extra piece of luxury! We came with two little ones and the owners had thoughtfully provided a portacot, high chair and toys. The full laundry facilities were so useful too. Barrakee was the perfect place for our family to catch up and reconnect over the long weekend, and we cannot thank Glenys enough for our wonderful stay in Angelsea. Thank you!
