The views are spectacular and the house it beautiful. It’s way up the mountain. The host were great.

The house was very Spacious and easily accommodated our family of 10.
The kitchen is very well stocked for any type of cooking that you may need to do.
The views of the sunrise and sunset are amazing through their large windows. There is little outside space for activities however there is plenty of space inside for things to do. We enjoyed our stay here at this house and hope to return it some time in the future.

The property was great! The only complaint that we missed when booking the property was that the middle floor, where a majority of the rooms are, does not have air conditioning. We bought a fan for the kids room and kept window open to keep it cool, otherwise it was 80 degrees. So maybe bring your own box fan in the summer. Other than that, all other floors were very comfortable, the kitchen and living areas were plenty big for all 13 of us and the view from the top deck was amazing. Great for seeing the sun sets each night! There were a couple things here and there that it work or we needed help with and the owner/management company was super quick to respond and very helpful. Would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway for the weekend! The cabin was great with plenty of space for everyone. The only thing to be mindful of is the main kitchen area is on the top floor with no access to the elevator so prepare to take groceries, coolers, etc. up a steep flight of stairs.

What an amazing house and area. Our entire family (Grandparents, Parents, and Kids from multiple generations) enjoyed every minute of our stay here.
The Christmas trees were a nice touch that helped us surprise the kids with Santa gifts the morning of Christmas

This property is gorgeous and has the most amazing views! Kitchen is large and there is plenty of room for eating, visiting, relaxing and enjoying this beautiful part of the country. Great accommodations. Some feedback: cleaning crew needs to up their game (floors were dirty and not even swept well; counter ok kitchen greasy). Also could stand to have an extra towel and washcloth per person.

Very nice house with awesome views. Great location from the ski sloop. The amenities in the house we spot on for our 20 something kids. Hot tub, pool table, video game and shuffle board were huge hits. The entire group love all the deer sightings all weekend. The only let down was we definitely left the house in better shape than we found it. The cleaning contractors left a lot to be desired. Trash left, dirt in areas, just not as clean as one would have expected. But overall a phenomenal property and we had a great weekend.

Property exceeded all expectations! Very clean, roomy, modern kitchen & baths, very comfortably furnished, incredible views from top deck. Bottom floor gaming area was a hit with the younger members (and a few older ones too)! Very minor issues (dead remote battery, accent lights not working, slow draining tub). Will definitely stay here again!!

The only thing that was not good is they did not think about a large family needing big pots cleaning supply and toilet paper and garbage bags . Even when I called them they said they will bring it but never showed up.

Bike trip
We had 4 couples on a bike trip from Ohio. House was awesome view was incredible. Everyone had their own room and bathroom/show Very much enjoyed the whole experience.

Stay was amazing. Hot tub worked beautifully. The view was far better than expected and no pictures could do it justice. Only problem was that there were no paper products, no toilet paper, napkins or paper-towels, and no trash bags. This was not something expected or warned about. But the house was very clean and beautiful

Perfect for multiple families/ very clean and not cluttered!
The cabin fit our group perfectly! Everything was very clean and of good quality! Love how it is not cluttered with a bunch of items but just enough to make it cozy! The kitchen had 2 cooking spaces which was very convenient cooking for large group. 2 master suites and living spaces located on different floors, made it very comfortable for both our families! Plus the downstairs game area was such a treat and bonus! The view was so gorgeous and it was enjoyed a lot!! The location was about 4 minutes to the slopes which made it perfect for the snow boarders in our group. This home functioned perfectly for our group and would love to book next year!!
Drawbacks but not deal breakers: there are no locks for bedrooms or bathrooms! Which can be a little awkward, but since our families are so close it was fine. The tubs and sinks need to be declogged. Master beds are firm, but not aweful. They have central vacuum which is amazing, but a simple broom/ dust pan could be more convenient to keep it swept while staying. Lots of stairs!!! The main kitchen and master is on the top floor which is why the view is so gorgeous..but be ready to climb some stairs! We didn’t mind bc it gave us a workout. Lol!!
Overall…this house is our favorite!

Ok so let’s start with the first thing that is noticed, floors were filthy and sticky. Bathrooms were not cleaned, and beds were not changed from prior guests. I had to send photos of the master bed showing pizza sauce and debris on the comforter and this was every bedroom. The kitchen was dirty, ceiling fans had about ½ of dust – dander stuck to them. The chair on the main level smelt very bad, the couches downstairs should be thrown away along with the rest of the furniture as this is supposed to be kid friendly and glass isn’t kid friendly. The air hockey table is broke, but they make it a big deal in the advertisement so throw it away. The hot tub had to be drained because it was very funky and that was done very late the first night. Yes, the water line broke but it was fixed by 3:45 so we never went in it. Lamp shades broken and just overall filthy. Everything that we used in the kitchen we washed; the coffee pot wasn’t emptied from the prior guest so that validated all our thoughts. The house needs a full deep clean, with all the Covid19 stuff going on I was extremely ticked to walk into this rental and see it look this way! I made them come and change all the sheets, blankets and pillowcases which I was told they would be there in the morning and didn’t show up until 7 pm when I was bathing my children. I have friends who own rentals and when I sent the photos, they confirmed that this was unacceptable.

Fantastic Property
The view is worth everything. This property was perfect for us. It had everything we wanted. We will definitely be back! Steep driveway so bring 4x4 and chains if you will be visiting during the winter!

Beech Mountain!
This was a great location with truly spectacular western views from both the balcony and the upper floor. It has a well equipped kitchen (be aware that the refrigerator on the lower floor shown in the pictures is locked for the owner’s use) and a nice layout to the home. It’s walking distance to some easy hiking trails with beautiful overlooks and is a 5 min drive to the town of Beech Mountain and the ski hill. Anyone with mobility issues may have some issues with the staircase between the floors.

We really enjoyed our time at Mountain Top Lodge. The cabin was very comfortable, the view was AMAZING. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessities. We would definitely recommend giving this cabin a visit for a fall getaway.

had a few friends going with us and everyone had to cancel plans except my girlfriend and i.. this home and property is absolutely the best place I've found to date.. everything was perfect as stated.. cant wait to go back again.. might have to make this an annual thing now..

Clean!
This was one of the cleanest rental properties I’ve stayed in. The sheets and towels were clean and they even provided towels for the hot tub. The mountain furniture and decorating was beautiful and fit the environment. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and appliances. We did not see one single bug in the cabin! The view was amazing! It felt very private even though people were nearby. It’s great that kids have their own space and the air hockey was really fun, but make sure to bring activities, games and your own movie player for younger ones. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this Cabin!

Spectacular Views
The views from the beautiful balcony are 10. The Drive to the cabin is steep and curvy, but it was expected being in one of the highest points in beech mountain. The lost star was for the cleanliness of a few areas in the cabin and the AC not working. The inside of the oven and metal grills were sticky and disgusting and the same goes for the outdoor grill. Also plenty of dust throughout the cabin. However, the biggest miss was the hot nights we had to go through because of the AC not working. The owner was sweet trying to discuss the problem but solutions were not given. Five hot nights was what made this stay not flawless.
Again the cabin is beautiful, the views are amazing, and layout is just great to separate the kids from the grownups. One suggestion (of course after the thorough cleaning and fixing the ac) is maybe replacing the air hockey with a foosball or a pool table. The kids eventually got over the views and were bored inside the cabin, so this suggestion might add some entertainment for the kids and adults together. Thank you again for such a beautiful vacation.

Great mountain home!
We had a great weekend at your beautiful home! The cabin rental manager was helpful with questions we had regarding heat downstairs. Mother Nature even gave us snow which was great fun skiing and tubing at Beech Mountain.

Great Stay but frustrating Security Deposit Process
Over our stay at the mountain top lodge was great. My only complaint was the security deposit process which withdraws a sizeable amount of money from whichever account is used. To make things a little bit more of a nuisance, when asked when this will be refunded the answer was 2-3 weeks!?! This is a very long period of time to have you money "on hold" so to speak. Most rental places (airbnb, expedia, etc.) do not even withdraw your money but instead put a "hold" on your card. Would hope this could be accommodate in the future stays w/ Carolina Cabin rentals. If not, at least give people their money back quicker.

Beautiful home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Top Lodge. The home is a perfect blend of beautiful decor and rustic simplicity. The view is superb, the accommodations comfortable, and the proximity to Banner Elk and other attractions couldn't be better. Had a minor hiccup getting in the house when we arrived as I was inexplicably sent a 12-digit code and the lockbox needed only 6! Once we got past that everything was top-shelf!
