GREAT condo! We LOVE staying here. This was our second stay for girls weekend trip. And we will be back soon for another one! Only problem we did have was fireplace would not shut off :( BUT that won't stop us from staying again! LOVE THIS CONDO! and its location is perfect!

Overall a beautiful property and perfect place to stay. The only downfalls are the bed in the master is super noisy and seems to dip in a lot and the property seems to be going through updates? so trim is missing giving a shoddy appearance. Would def stay again though.

The location is perfect for amazing views of the bay, as well as walking distance to the shops, restaurants and other fun, touristy things. You can also walk over to some rock cliffs for even more panoramic ocean views.

This was a comfortable space with beautiful views. The trash was hard to find the last day and the TV in the master bedroom did not work (needed better instructions ). The beds were comfortable and there was a great kitchen for breakfast meals.

Long awaited get-a-way
Beautiful place, plenty of room, very clean, had everything we needed. The view was perfect, the weather was perfect, it was the best three days I’ve spent in the last three years!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was just where we wanted to be in Depoe Bay. We would have liked a few more mugs for coffee so we didn't have to wash them every day, but we had everything else we needed. Comfortable and easy access for my husband who is disabled.

Great location, comfortable unit. Having said that, the unit is in need of repairs and upgrading before we would stay there again. The furniture is not as pictured, it is worn and carpets are covered with stains and burn marks. It must have been a smoking unit at one point from the odor. I would give it a C- for the cost.

We enjoyed our stay in Depoe Bay at Commodore 1! The unit has a great view, we could see whales from the place, and loved the location so close to the main road and viewpoints. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were nice, could use updated carpet and furniture- couch is pretty old with stains, and bed frames and mattresses are very old and dip. Could also use a few more cooking items like oil, spare roll of paper towels, etc.

Great location. Unit needs some updates and maintenance. Carpet needs replaced, kitchen floor needs replaced. Bathroom door lock doesn't work. Bedroom door sticks. Kitchen was well outfitted and met our needs very well. Would rent again.

The Commodore
This property is badly in need of repair. The living room carpet was old and dirty, and the kitchen flooring falling apart - one pc. of the wood was missing and other places have been "repaired" with duct tape! The furniture in the living room is old, shabby and smelly. The dishwasher seemed to be falling apart. No light above the sink. The bed in the smaller room was creaky and uncomfortable. The larger bed was ok. The dresser in the larger room was missing some of the knobs and one drawer was stuck shut. The piece smelled funny. The bathrooms did appear clean and there were lots of fluffy white towels which was very nice. The curtain on the long window at the front door did not have a working tension rod at the bottom and every time we opened the door, the curtain blew outside. One of the faucets in the larger bathroom sprayed water when in use. A lot of these things would take very little time and money to repair. The place appeared to have been neglected. We were very disappointed for only the second time ever since we have been using VRBO.

Place is in desperate need of updating. Carpet is worn and unsafe. Flooring in kitchen is a trip hazard. Furniture is old and beat up.

Condo worn, needs work
Condo had a nice view, but was worn....carpet was stained & worn, holes in laminate in kitchen floor, duct tape use to secure flooring ...the cloth furniture was DIRTY, and washing machine smelled. Overall a good location, but the place needs new carpet, new flooring & new furniture....the weather was perfectly clear, & the temperature made our stay enjoyable. The condo, NOT so much. Owners could update the condo for about $2500-$3000 and could make it NICER.

I’ve spent less per night for better accommodations in this area unfortunately because the location is better than most. This could be a $500 a night (summer rate) but not at this level of finish, needs renovation/investment.

3 day stay
I never got an email to give me the info for the codes etc, and she discovered there was a problem with the computer. I called the day of the arrival. She gave me the code, but I had to ask for the address of the place as it's no were on the website when you sign up, and what our room # was.
Expect to struggle to find things like the router for the email. The electrical is confusing, there is a hidden switch by the fireplace that turns off half the outlets. The lights are hard to figure out, how and where to turn them on in the kitchen and living room.
The carpet is very worn and bunched up, the mattresses are very old and hard. The 1st room is a box spring with a foam pad on it. Older furniture, which is okay, but some stains that could have been taken care of. Windows were dirty. The freezer smelled like fish. It wasn't filthy, it was vacuumed, bathrooms were clean, etc, but just getting very worn and stained and not much attention to detail. We found an old towel, on the floor that was rolled up and left there, and some dried food on the table.
Just not the best, but not the worst either The view and location are amazing. For that, we'd come again.

Had a blast and the rental was amazing. Only issue was garage was messed up and couldn't find parking for second vehicle. Also got wrong directions for trash which is across the street not at end of building but over all great service and rental and location

This condo has a great floor plan, an amazing view and is minutes from restaurants and shops. It is an end unit, ground floor closest to the Hwy., which was not a problem and actually super convenient. We love Depoe Bay and had an overall great experience in the area.
However, as other reviewers have shared this condo is getting run-down and needs some TLC. The furniture (dressers etc.) look like they came from a garage sale many years ago and the king bed is shot. It is so broken down that it has a permanent hump in the middle of the mattress (wasn't a great experience for our backs). Also, there is a very new looking wine fridge in the kitchen which in my opinion was a waste of money...that same amount of money would have easily replaced the kitchen floor (duct tape is never a good way to fix flooring!). Also, as soon as we were settled into the condo we wanted to enjoy the advertised fireplace, but because the pilot light was off it didn't work. We had to call twice and specifically told maintenance that they could access the condo w/out us being there, and gave them our phone number. While we were out the last afternoon of our stay, maintenance came and left a note that they stopped by and didn't have permission to enter (and of course we had given permission to enter!). On the chilly evenings and overcast mornings, the fireplace would have been very welcome.

we have stayed at Harbor Inn for many years,at many different units. This is the worst unit that we have ever rented. Not clean does not even begin to describe the condition. To stay here we paid a $100.00 cleaning fee if any of previous guests paid a cleaning fee we all were ripped off! the bath tub had soap wrapper and used soap in the tub. The dinning table had food between leaf and table, there was food under the sofa. Since the new mgmt co has had control the properties have declined, very sad as this was our favorite place to stay. pay for cleaning and stay in a dirty unit.
