Matrace v posteli by mohly být vyšší....

The room wasn't big but it was spacious and the bed wasn't uncomfortable. The location is great since it's right next to Šumava national park witch is beautifull (the nature is spectacular). The breakfast was good and there was a lot to choose from. Wi-fi was good.

We were disappointed, because the room was a bit more expensive than the rest on our trip, but it was the worst one of them. To explain, we always book affordable rooms when we travel since we usually only stay for one night and don't need anything luxurious. But in this case the differences were quite obvious. The whole place looks like it has seen better days and now no one is investing much into it and it gets customers because of it's position close to the spectacular nature and ski slopes in winter, not because it's a great place itself. It's not an expensive place, but still, compared to the other places we stayed at, they should put in a bit more effort. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but in the evening, when I wanted to order a drink there was no one at the bar at first (all the staff seemed to be outside at a covered picnic place). Then when I finally managed to order, I ordered one kind of beer and watched them pour it, but I was charged a different (more expensive) one. The only person that spoke any english was a girl at breakfast but we knew they only spoke czech and german before we came. My wife knows a little bit of german and our language has the same roots as czech, so we were not concerned. But usually even if you don't speak the customers language you try to make them feel welcome anyway. Here the staff just seemed bored (apart from the man that showed us our room, that tried a little). In the room there was a really, really small and really, really old tv (we don't watch tv on our trips and it always seems so funny when there are tv's in the room just for the stars, but this was ridiculous). One of the batteries or the tv remote was missing. The door of one night stand was missing, witch would have been fine if they bothered to remove the left over parts of hinges. One of the towels left for us was a standard white one and the other one looked like somebody's old beach towel.
