PROS: Place was private, clean, cozy, and like home.Had no WiFi/internet/electricity issues. Stocked, full kitchen and beach supplies! There is a basket full of local menus/excursion options. AC cool enough, fans available, and breeze from the ocean was niiiiiice! Easy to reach Michelle with questions and loved that she gave helpful tips for our trip. Cats and feral chickens are around but not bothersome. CONS: Most taxis won’t come up hill so transportation will be an issue if u don’t rent a car. The car service that was suggested was unreliable. Residents we met while walking Bolongo Hill were not friendly.

Host was super communicative and the directions to the property wete spot on! Loved waking up and watch the sunrise and watching the sunsets in the evening. The views are spectacular!!

We had the best time here this week! We loved every moment of our vacation. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful our host Michelle was! I feel like we had the true island experience that you do not get to see from a cruise ship or resort. We definitely hope to go back one day!

We enjoyed our first trip to St Thomas and found this to be a perfect location to stay. The rental had everything you would need and the view is absolutely beautiful. We didn't really see our hosts much as we spent most of our time out exploring but Michelle was very welcoming and friendly.

Kevin & Michelle do a great job of making you feel at home. They have great advice and a wonderful, clean comfortable place to spend a vacation. Close enough to visit all the beaches it's easy to to plan to see multiple beaches in a day. Though there are great food options down the hill, it felt great to come home, grill under the moonlight and relax. It's a good idea to arrive in the day time so you can follow Kevin & Michelle's landmarks & instructions to get to the house. It really comes in handy as Google Maps & Waze has it wrong . We rented a Toyota Camry sedan and it was fine to get anywhere we wanted to go. I would book this again.

Excellent accommodations! Michelle is a wonderful and friendly host. Very responsive to your needs and very helpful with issues that arise. The unit is very comfortable and private. The views are spectacular, both sunrise and sunset from the decks, and the Caribbean Sea and ships coming and going. The breezes are fantastic keeps the unit very comfortable. The location on island is great but the road can be a challenge the first time you drive it, but becomes easier on subsequent trips. Looking forward to a return trip!

Wow! This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a rental property. The property was clean, GORGEOUS, felt cozy like home, and had everything you could want. We had an issue at the airport with our rental car. Our flight was delayed and even though we rented a car, because we came in late, all the cars were gone (we were informed) and the all the rental car companies were closed. We called Michelle and Kevin immediately (panicked) and they were able to get us a driver who was honestly fantastic. Plus, they brought us to get food before driving us at the house and provided us with a rental car the next day. Watching them drive up the hill before we had to do it was also very comforting and I’m so glad things worked out the way they did. We had spoken to a local later in our trip and she was telling us how rental houses here are really a hit or miss in terms of people being helpful, so I’m SO glad we got Michelle who was always around in case we needed anything. You also cannot beat the views and the comfort and they even have a bunch of helpful items that you can bring to the beach. Anyway, I can’t rave enough about this place enough. It’s always a bit more challenging traveling with a baby, and it was really great to have had this experience go so smoothly.

I had a great time staying at this home-like studio by Bologo Bay. The rental is equipped with many beach and water activity supplies that I find especially helpful during the busy holiday season. Kevin and Michelle are super nice and responsive. Kevin even helped me fixed a part in my rental car when I accidentally pumped into some palm tree driving in the dark. Michelle was nice enough to drop some food for me during my first night when I arrived late, knowing I probably would be hungry. Overall, great place, awesome view, super comfortable bed and peaceful mountain too stay, and amazing host Highly recommend!

A/c did not cool the entire apartment, oven and oven drawer very dirty, room fans very dirty. Equipped very well. It had everything you would need.

Hands down my favorite stay in Saint Thomas, and I have been here quite a bit. Gorgeous 180 degree south facing view, you literally catch sunrise and sunset. Centrally located so you are equa distant between redhook and charlotte amalie. The road to the home is steep and rocky at times, so make sure you reserve a JEEP or an SUV. When I go, reliable internet is a must as I WFH, and it was incredible. The house came with many board games and a literal treasure trove of legos, which my 7 y/o was elated about. The home over looks a hill that is literally swamped by butterflies everyday. It is just beautiful. Kevin and Michelle were extremely responsive and knowledgeable about the island. I will definitely be booking again!

They say that getting there is half the fun and getting to this gem is quite the ride! From the airport, it's about a 20 minute drive to the road that you need to access - be aware that this road is a one lane, two direction road. There are spots to pull into/reverse into to allow traffic to flow. The road itself is 90% dirt road, very bumpy. You can drive a car on it (as we did), but any SUV is preferred ANYWHERE on-island. We will be renting an SUV from now on. Once you’re at the residence, you’re on the first floor and the hosts are on the second floor, but you’ll never know that they’re there. They are available 24/7 however. The apartment is a small, one-bedroom (king sized bed), one bathroom residence but is very comfortable with a full kitchen! If you’re looking to save some money, do some grocery shopping and eat in. Having breakfast on the balcony with that view is incredible! Speaking of the view - it’s AMAZING and you can see quite a bit! The price for this residence is a bargain for the views and privacy you’re getting (but don’t let the owners know that they have a bargain on their hands - hahaha!). Sleeping was never a problem without the a/c. We left all of the doors and windows open for the amazing off-shore breeze and used 2 fans provided. Was never an issue. Driving to any part of the island is “easy,” but can be very challenging. Driving in St Thomas is not for the faint-of-heart or inexperienced. It took me some time to get used to driving on the left. I pulled into on-coming traffic once, luckily traffic was light. Just about anything is within a 12-30 minute drive and despite having to drive slower due to the narrow, twisty roads, it was pretty easy to get anywhere. Parking however can be an issue, but if you’re patient, you WILL find a spot. The hosts are very accommodating and will work with you as best they can. We were able to get a little later check out time without problem. The hosts have supplied the residence with a full cabinet of board games and a full cabinet of snorkel gear and various water toys, as well as chairs and beach umbrellas - save yourself some money and use them! I just wish that I could upload the pictures of the property and views. Do NOT hesitate to book this location! The view and the price are just right! We look forward to returning to this accommodation. Thank you Kevin & Michelle!!!

It was great for us. We loved it! Although it was a little hard to get taxis to come here it was perfect still. Michelle is very nice and helpful. She always responded quickly and made sure we were happy. It was so nice to wake up to the view from up there. The place is a perfect size and super cozy. Loved it!

Kevin and Michelle are wonderful hosts. The view was beautiful, the bed was super comfortable, and we stayed right across from the beach. Definitely will be coming back.

The property itself is wonderful and clean. Very comfy, and cool (we used the AC 2 out of 9 nights mostly because of sunburn 😅). VERY well stocked! Fridge and all the cabinets were full of food and utensils (highly recommend checking it before going to the store, we bought several things they already had). Owners are very responsive and helpful. Only inconvenience is that you mostly need a rental car in this location. You can walk but in the sun, the 15 minute walk uphill is tiring. The sunrises and sunsets on the balcony are beautiful. We mostly ate there. Highly recommend Sunday funday at Bolongo beach! Thanks Kevin and Michelle!

Great place to stay. Kevin & Michelle were very accommodating.

Check in was easy with directions provided by host. Met the hosts upon arrival and felt comfortable with being on the lower level unit of a home. (I originally thought it was a condo complex prior to arrival). Unit accommodated two adults and one thirteen year old. We were able to explore all the surrounding beaches and take a day trip to St. John via Ferry. The affordability of the rental property made it so that we could stay for an entire week. The beds and linens/towels felt comfortable and clean and I slept like a dream in the bed. Some downsides we're the cleanliness of surfaces in the unit that I think with some spring cleaning would really benefit the overall feel of the unit. The front of the stove, fridge/interior and on top of, cabinet fronts, crevices around the bathroom counter coffee pot, and windows could all stand a thorough wipe down. I would be aware of being careful to not let mosquitoes in by keeping screen doors closed although I do feel like some were getting in through gaps in the screen in the main bedroom which I didn't realize until our last night staying. Nonetheless, we enjoyed being able to cook nearly all of our meals in, the lunch box and ice available to pack food for our days outz the sun / beach umbrella and chairs and playing LIFE (the boardgame) as a family every night (which was a highlight / bonding of our family trip).

We loved our stay. Cute minimal and just enough to make it feel like home-or wish it was home. I want to go back. 360 degree views make it extra special!

The view was spectacular. Accommodations were restful and private, the kitchen well equipped. Don’t try to find the place at night because it is not easy. Kevin will attest to that difficulty and helped me find my way by phone after my flight had a long delay.

We loved this place on one of the hills above Bolongo Bay. It was perfect for the two of us and would probably be fine, although a tad crowded, for a third family member. Easy to find if you follow the directions sent by the owner. Car is recommended, although it doesn't have to be a jeep. Our Jeep rental conked out on our last full day and refused to start. I didn't mind spending that day with the beautiful view and breezes while we waited for the rental company to bring a replacement. The owners and their neighbor were great with help and advice. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were some drink and food items left by previous occupants that we were able to use. We mostly shopped at Food Center and a local fruit and vegetable stand and ate in. Try the tasty prepared food at Food Center. One large plate with three sides would last the two of us for at least two meals. The king size bed and its linens were super comfy. Neighborhood felt very safe so we left the screen doors open when we were in, even all night, and let the breezes blow through. We never turned on the AC! Didn't need to. Just lower the shades on the south side while going out for the day to prevent heating up. Two decks-one shaded, one not - with tables and views were a real plus. Mornings in were so pleasant we dawdled a bit getting out to the beach (favorites were Lindquist and Hull Bay). We had our own snorkels and masks, but borrowed flippers and beach chairs from the collection of beach items in the apartment. Nice beach towels were also provided. We have chickens at home so I loved the visiting hens and their broods. Please do NOT feed them, even if they try to convince you otherwise. Yes, there are crowing roosters in the morning, but they didn't seem too loud. It's the Caribbean. If you are noise sensitive you can turn on one or more of the provided fans and use the white noise to block out the crowing. Michelle and Kevin were great hosts. Friendly and available to answer questions, but they allowed us our privacy. I would definitely stay here again if we return to St Thomas (we mostly seem to stay on St John) and recommend this place to others.

This property was in the perfect location and the host Michelle was so pleasant and sweet. Was there for 4 nights with my aunt and son we felt right at home. She literally went above and beyond. Definitely will come back to visit in the future.

The owners are upstairs from the unit, so it was easy to communicate with them. It is up in top of a steep hill, which means the view is gorgeous!! We only basically slept there as every day we went to different beaches. It is a good value for using it as a home base.

My partner and I had an amazing time staying here. The views alone would have been worth it, but it was also so comfortable, slept great each night and woke up to a sun soaked room and a gorgeous view of the ocean and surrounding hills. Kevin and Michelle were great hosts who were responsive and very helpful with any questions we had about the island and things to do. They also have some beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach toys available for use. They warned us ahead of time, but the road up to their home was indeed bumpy and windy, but once we figured it out the first time it was easy to navigate again. It definitely shouldn’t be a deterrent. We would definitely stay again!

The views from the balconies are just gorgeous! What a wonderful place to have your morning coffee or sundowners. The apartment was larger than we expected with plenty of comfy seating and a well set up kitchen. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

I can continue to come back over and over, this is the best place to relax and enjoy a cool breeze and view. The host are wonderful they welcome you when you arrive, make sure you have everything you need also just beautiful people. Great place to stay.

We had a hard time finding the property at first bc we had to do it in the dark (it took 3 hours to get a rental car), but the locals were very helpful and Kevin was great about communication and patiently helped us along the way. It would be BEST if you rent a truck, but a smaller vehicle will work. The roads are ROCKY AND THE HILLS ARE STEEP. The place is small and quaint, but nice and adequate. We had everything we needed and spent the majority of the time out doing something or on a balcony. 😀 the views are FANTASTIC! I hung out in the hammock one night and watched the stars, the open sky gives a great view! The bed is super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything to make meals. The place was clean and everything worked. Michelle was great! Very attentive and so helpful with suggestions on how to do things and where to go and great with sharing history of the island! We really enjoyed meeting her. Will definitely rent here again!
