If you're staying in this region, this is a truly special place to stay. The rooms, pool, gardens, view of the beautiful town of Locorotondo and the welcome from Emanuel and his staff is second to none. It is a more than 5 star experience, with the personal touch. Breakfast had delicious options, both healthy and also some wonderful baked treats! The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, the staff always on hand to offer drinks, and if you book in advance, a wonderful meal in their gardens with a view of the town. The gardens were stunning and a great place to explore including the olive grove, which we were lucky to enjoy it's olive oil. It is relaxing and luxurious, with the added benefit of being close to Locorotondo, Martina Franca and beyond to explore the region. Emanuel is an incredible host, so welcoming and helpful and friendly. His attention to detail is second to none and he has created a very special experience for his guests. We can highly recommend a memorable stay here. If we could give more than 10/10 we would.

We loved everything about Masseria Grofoleo . Emanuel was the kindest host we have ever met . He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect . Nothing was too much trouble . The setting , views , food , gardens , pool and property are all perfect !

The settings are amazing with fresh scents coming from their local flowers and herbs. The owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful view of Locorotondo. Modern amenitites and attention to details. Hope to visit again. Temperatures just a bit too low for a jump in the pool! Would love to relax on the Masseria some other time. A 10 out of 10 rating does not do justice to Masseria Grofoleo. I could spend hours writing about the immaculate rooms, the manicured gardens, the breathtaking view to Locorotondo, the home made cakes and jams for breakfast and so on. But what tops it all is Emanuel. He is an exceptional hospitality professional who clearly loves his job. He goes out of his way to serve you and truly makes you feel like a friend.  We will definitely come again and I recommend staying here without any hesitation. Without a doubt, you will have a wholehearted hospitality experience.

EVERYTHING. Masseria Grofoleo was a truly delightful place to stay and a highlight of our trip in Italy! Emanuel was a wonderful, decent, attentive and kind host. He was always available to assist us with any questions/issues, the place is family run and his mum makes the most delicious breakfast cakes! Everything was beautiful, the trulli rooms are out of this world, the place was immaculately clean and easy to access. Locorotondo is such a pretty town- it took our breath away!

Didn't stay long enough

We had one of the Trullis which was lovely, plenty of room, a great shower and air con. Good swimming pool and a great set of options for breakfast. Superb location set between Martina Franca and Locorotondo so very easy to see some of the sights. Breakfast was fab

Amazing property, gorgeous rooms, run by a family but with the level of service you would get in a 5 star hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast! Could not recommend more highly!

a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into the design of this hotel set in the countryside surrounded by olive groves. a haven of tranquility but just a few minutes from Locorotondo with a wide choice of restaurants. our beautiful room had a small patio with sunbeds surrounded with herbs and large fluffy towels in the bathroom breakfast served in the herb garden, was delicious. fresh fruit platter, yoghurt, fresh cooked eggs ( the only hotel we stayed during our holiday that served eggs to order) great bread and rolls homemade jams, a large selection of delicious pastries

nothing could have improved our stay except extending it for a few more days.

We are staying at Masseria Grofoleo now. From the first moment we arrived we felt that this hotel was special. The owner himself picked us up from our precious location and the welcoming here of him and the staff has been amazing. Manuel the owner is professional as well as personal, incredibly attentive, caring and charming. So are all the others that work at this fantastic hotel. We had initially booked two nights but changed our plans and added three more nights. The reason is simple: This hotel is Paradise. The location of this beautiful hotel is perfect, in the countryside of Locorotondo with wonderful views and lovely gardens. The rooms are elegant and the interior design is beautiful. Small details bear witness to the professionalism and passion of the owner. The breakfast is great as well as the dinner that was prepared for us the evening we arrived. We are fans of Italy and have travelled quite a lot here. The service is the best we have ever experienced. You cannot find anything like it. We now have two more nights to spend here and we know that we will miss this beautiful place. We also know that we will return.

This is a totally idyllic place to stay when visiting the trulli villages of the vale of Istria. Within easy walking distance of Locorotonda, this boutique hotel is surrounded by countryside with a wonderful view of the Locorotondo and has three trullis with other elegant rooms in a lovely ancient farmhouse. The rooms are elegant and well equipped. Breakfast is served under the trees overlooking the view. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and there are many places to sit and relax both in the lovely gardens and around the swimming pool. Emmanuel the owner, is delightful and incredibly helpful, aided by his mother. He provides a list of the best restaurants in all of the nearby towns but when we mentioned one day that it was a shame that dinner wasn't on offer as it is such a lovely spot, the next night they catered for us and we had a great night chatting to other guests.

Loved everything. Beautiful property with the most incredible gardens - the roses are spectacular! We had the room with a lovely terrace with a view up the valley to Locorotondo. For us an easy 15 minute walk to town for lovely restaurants and views back over the valley. Highly recommend this property. Emmanuel and his team are lovely and cannot do enough for you. We hope to return.

The tiniest gripe is that the mini bar prices are expensive. We might have used it if they were a little more reasonable.

Simply an oasis as soon as you go through the door.

Could not stay longer

Everything! The property is amazing. The facilities, the location and the services were excellent. The property is like a dream villa just outside of Locorotando. It is perfectly situated to explore the Valle d’Itria. The owner / manager Emanuel is a gem and will do everything in his power to make your stay enjoyable.

The only difficulty we encountered was finding the property with our GPS. If your are driving call ahead for instructions.

Some difficulty in locating the place but Emanuel the owner drove by and guided us to the accommodation. Service was excellent, ambience was perfect!

Lack of proper signage or direction to the place and it’s a little off the beaten track.

Service beyond 5 star. Owner personally brought electric toothbrush to our next hotel which was quite some distance away!

I didn't like that my stay was only 2 days!

The feeling of a family like attitude and the attention to details. The dinner cooked by Manuele and his mother upon our request was amazing 🤩 We have really enjoyed every singly day spent at Masseria Grofoleo. Definitely have plans to come back 💕

The staff, especially Manuel, was absolutely great and made us feel soo welcome. Even for restaurant reservations he called several locations and went above and beyond to make things happen for us. The location is beautiful, new and very quiet. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would recommend this 100%!!
