Mooi huis en mooie tuin

The garden was great, lots to discover and plenty of outdoor seats. The house has wonderful wooden beams, rustic floor and the space was more than expected.

The door of the fridge was a bit difficult to open, can use some repair.

The property is very nice with a lot of space. It is an old mill, but has been very nicely redone. Very comfy beds, nice and quiet environment. Also very clean. We also appreciated the garden and the sauna. WiFi worked well.

The reason I am struggling to give this property more than 4 or 5 on a scale of 10 is the entire booking and payment process. The payment process is directly with the owners, which is unusual on booking.com. All payments involve bank transfers to the recipient, no credit cards are used (not very common I would say). Payment is 50% upon booking and the other 50% well in advance (a month) of the stay - also not common. But the strangest thing is that there is a deposit which is used to settle the electricity consumed. However there is no formal record of how much electricity was consumed, so you are very much at the discretion of the owner to receive your deposit (or part of it) after your stay. I am surprised booking.com allows this sort of practices. Another minor comment: sheets and towels are not provided. At least this should have been mentioned in the description of the property.

The garden was amazing and even better in real life than the pictures. The house was beautiful and in a very peaceful area. It was unlike any house I have ever stayed at.

Everything was very good except upon out arrival we found that a lot of the plates and cups in the cupboards were still quite dirty from previous guests. However we assume they did not use the dish washer correctly
