We were there on New Year’s Eve and from our arrival to our departure, everything was just as we had hoped and maybe a bit more as we were offered a complimentary bottle of Espumante with which to celebrate the arrival of 2023. it was delivered to our room, in an ice bucket by two smiling employees. The Farol is a ‘proper’ hotel and the photographs do not lie. Next door is their spacious café/bar/restaurant. We ate there because it was raining and we didn’t want to be out at midnight. The food was just right for us. We watched a grand display of fireworks in the square from our balcony, with the dramatic backdrop of the lighthouse.

I’m digging deep, but the bottom sheet wasn’t big enough for the mattress.

Style, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, super clean and warm. Far outweighed expectations.

The view is a 12/10 and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff are very friendly and the location is wonderful.

The shower sprays all over, the toilet doesn’t flush very easily and breakfast wasn’t anything special. The warm food items were cold, there weren’t many gluten-free options even after prior request and the coffee was not great.

Clean and modern looking. Got a view of the lighthouse directly across from my window. I could hear music from down the street so I kept the windows open to listen.

Smells a bit like mildew. Opened the windows and that was good enough.

The breakfast was great- varied and filling. The view and hotel location couldn’t have been better. The room and general areas were very nice.

The bathroom was gorgeous! The bidet leaked. The room was hot and we couldn’t get the AC to work. The fan had to run all night. We opened the patio door to let cool night air in.

breakfast was fine, not much option available. room was fine, we saw some spider web on the corners of the room, bathroom was very clean, nice and comfort beds.location is plus point.

spider web on the rooms corners, and as we request extra bed and last day 10cm long centipede came from matress, after that my daughter didnt want to sleep on that matress as thats was our last night we managed in one bed. I will suggest before putting matress in the room put in the sun or put some medicine to kill insects. She now with trauma and where ever now we are going we are not requesting for extra beds.
