Very nice location in a perfect city. The hotel is located in the old town, in an old building, very close to the Danube. Even if the building is old, it seemed to be properly cleaned.

Since the building is very old, the room and especially the bathroom was really small. The breakfast was under average (although it was cheap and served in the very nice Stifter Hall). The furniture was nice but too old and inconvenient to motivate us to spend more time in the room. Nevertheless, it was not a big deal for us since Passau is wonderful.

Staff was exceptional! My German is awful but their English was perfect. They were very helpful in helping us arrange some local transportation and recommending a good restaurant.

The location was excelent for exploring the old town, near the Danube and the castle. There are many restaurants around. However, if you prefer to be closer to the hustle and bustle of the city than to the sights you might enjoy better a location closer to the shopping street. The staff was kind. There is elevator to the superior floors. The breakfast was excelent.

Traditional furniture has a special charm but is not properly maintained and affects the feeling of cleanliness in the room. The same can be said about the floor and tiles in the bathroom which is full of stains. Under the radiator in the single room where I was accommodated hanged a large spider's web.
