The whole check in process is a mess. There were additional charges, multiple different versions of the “deposit” quoted, the pending payment taken didn’t actually match up. We were told 3 different times for breakfast so missed it on our last day meaning a 3 hour drive with no food. Checking out was also hard because no one could confirm the amounts on the bill, to date the money taken for the deposit isn’t available to spend in my account. Simple things weren’t clear like the wifi, was it free did we need to sign up… why wasn’t that covered in check in. There wasn’t any spare tissues or toilet roll etc. in our room so for 3 nights with 2 people we had to go and ask for an extra loo roll… I think the main issue is that no one has explained to the staff that they should never assume the customer knows their process or the right times, for example nobody told us a check out time and there is no signage in the room to gym opening, check out, breakfasts but when you ask the staff seem confused that you don’t just know. I won’t be staying again because it was so hard to check in and then to pay the bill at the end - for ease of use (given the cost) I would pick premier inn any day.

No welcome pack in room except water and tea making. Bar does not serve nibbles eg crisps , biscuits. 2 choices of red wine not available. BUT PRICES ARE IMMORAL. Car park charge of £7 is unacceptable.

the room was very good size but no dressing table for the wife to do her make-up the main light and the lamp in the living area was on the same switch - very strange the jet bath did not work. bar - after 11pm we could not buy draft cider and they had no normal cider just kids flavours.

So many things, the bathroom floors were dirty, the shower was rusty and the walls were stained. Wood lice on the bathroom floor, there was no ceiling lights, marks all over the ceiling, the mattresses were like sleeping on an ironing board. It was extremely dated. I was on a business trip with clients and was embarrassed that I had picked this hotel, thinking it was going to be outstanding after all it is a Hilton. Extremely disappointed!

The check-in staff were fantastic. The staff at the bar were very helpful to me and my young family. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff couldn't do enough to help us.

Staff at the reception very rude. Was sharing a room with my sister and when I booked it gave me an option of a sofa bed. So the lady was saying that I didn't request and said next time I have to request, but there was nonoption of doing that as it only showed me the sofa bed but didn't give an option of ordering itm

The staff were good and the beds were comfortable and the room temp was cool and the room was nice and dark to sleep in. There was lots of choice for breakfast.
